We were told in a reply to our inquiry email that they wouldn’t store our luggage either before check-in or after check-out, and we were instead recommended Bounce. The storage location turned out to be a rather run-down hotel. We took an Uber there, dropped off our bags, and then stopped by Casa Ocean—only to be told that our room was already ready. So we immediately had to turn back to retrieve the luggage we had just dropped off.
In the end, we wasted $27 for barely 10 minutes of storage, not to mention the effort of carrying suitcases and backpacks several blocks in the heat. Once in the room, there was barely any space to open our suitcases.
It got cold at night, but the AC had no heat, and I ended up catching a cold. The main light was broken and kept turning on and off throughout the night, and we could clearly hear conversations from both neighboring rooms, making it difficult to sleep. There was also no complimentary bottled water, which you would normally expect from a standard hotel.
On the positive side, the location is excellent, beach chairs and towels are included, and the female staff member we interacted with was friendly.
