We chose Chable after carefully studying many properties in Mexico for our one year anniversary, and while our expectations were high, we were still blown away at how great our experience was. Every single staff member we encountered was sincere and delightful to talk with. The grounds were so well taken care of that it felt as though we were in paradise. And the food - excellent, well thought out, and intentional. We LOVED the tasting menu experience at Ixi'im. It was one of the highlights of the visit. But the other food at Ki'ol and the Wellness restaurant were also fantastic. The spa, as everyone has mentioned, is really top-notch. I had three treatments and every therapist I had was great. They definitely keep their standards high. We also took advantage of some of the complimentary activities - we visited the Melipona bees onsite (they are a stingless bee, and their honey is rare) and learned about their history; we visited the Mayan cooking hut and made handmade tortillas with the sweetest ladies; and enjoyed a well curated afternoon tea with delicate little pastries. Our casita offered us privacy where we could lounge about in our pool at night, and savor the A/C when needed. The indoor/outdoor shower was very well designed - you step through glass doors to the indoor shower, and there are a second set of glass doors that open to the outdoor shower. We really couldn't find a single thing they could improve on - they scored a perfect 100% in our books.
I stayed here for Labor Day weekend, the resort was fairly empty at this time- at most I saw 2-3 couples at breakfast. The service at the resort is great, everyone was accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed without hesitation. ROOMS: VERY nice - the Casita design is lovely - I love the pool area with the table and lounge section. The special touches of the turn down service which included a treat placed near your bed are nice. I also appreciate it that they provide insect repellent because there are mosquitos, they also provide a flash light which I used when riding my bike at night, and I love that they provide a ipad for Spotify and you can listen to your music that is connected to the speakers in the room. My room was very clean, immaculate. My only compliant which I meant to tell the GM before leaving was a few of my plug outlets weren't working in the room. One actually was working initially then stopped after I plugged up the kettle they provide. GROUNDS: I love it here - the grounds are kept up, the pathways for clean when walking/riding your bike. They keep the property up. I really enjoyed having my own bike and exploring the resort that way. Activities: I scheduled a excursion to the ruins with the staff before arriving and that process was great. I also scheduled a Mayan cooking class, see the bees, tequila tasting (one of the best things I did there-Andrea did a good job) and temazcal ceremony. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Mayan cooking class- I actually wish I was reimbursed lol I just formed tortillas - I think for the price it should include much more assisting or they should lower the price. I wouldn't pay for that again. The Gym is also good - has new equipment. Overall, I would stay here again but for a longer time, its a lovely relaxing resort with great service and food.
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. They were beyond accommodating and gave my wife and me an incredible experience throughout. Latisha at the front desk and Freddy at the pool restaurant made our experience very comfortable and enjoyable. They really know how to give you a luxury experience at Chable in comparison to the other luxury resorts in Riviera Maya. Highly Recommended!!!
This is a very pricey but worth every penny place to go. The casitas are beautiful and very comfortable. The service could not be better. They are all very efficient and looking how to please you. The food is very good, For my taste a little bit complicated, but excelent. Its a place to relax and unwind. There is , however a lot to do. You can visit Merida and buy a beautiful linen guayabera for 30 us. You can go to Uxmal, Chichenitza, and a beautiful town, Valladolid. In the resirt you can go to the spa, ride bikes, and take a cooking class of yucateca food. We where in casita #1 that had a small heated pool, we really enjoyed. I would give it 6 stars!!
It fills me with pride to say that the best hotel I have ever experienced (because it IS an experience) is Chable. I have surely been to some of the best hotels in thee world but, as a mexican citizen, knowing that the best hotel in the world (truly) is in my own country, fills me with unmeasurable pride. Everything is perfect. Every inch of the landscape, every piece of furniture is a work of art, the spa is top notch, the people are AMAZING. It is worth every penny, and more. Please do not miss the Mayan cooking experience (I am a cynic whenever someone mentions an "experience" but the meal cooked by Doña Oneida and her daughter (in a Mayan hut) is out of this world. All in all Chable is a place where perfection is achieved.
The resort is the destination and is a perfect weekend away. There is not much to see or do in the surrounding village but with all the activities provided at the resort you really won’t want to leave anyway. The rooms consist of a wonderful private casita with a hammock, outdoor shower, and private pool. Coffee and pastry are delivered every morning to your deck. Special requests were promptly addressed such as delivery of flowers to the room. Despite being in a jungle, clearly there was excellent attention to pest control and land scaping. Don’t miss the firefly lawn after dark. Ixi’im Restaurant has a unique and wonderful décor with every tequila made in Mexico illuminated on glass walls. The food is interesting. The service provided by our waiter Sebastian was outstanding. The cocktail menu in the main hacienda is innovative and incorporates local culinary ingredients. Tea is also served in the late afternoon. The morning breakfast selection is made to order and is vast including many options for the health conscious. The gift shop has a very thoughtful and well considered selection from local artisans including Smithsonian worthy reproductions of Mayan Pottery. The spa is critically acclaimed and it is easy to see why. The treatment rooms overlook the cenote which is atmospheric. Before your treatment you will be blessed by a Mayan priest. Anyone that has an opportunity to stay here is of course blessed.
Recently I had the opportunity to visit Chablé. I've heard so much about this destination and was prepared to be wowed. And wowed I was. :) Starting from the thoughtful check in, to the short ride with information about the history of the location, ending in entering the seriously awesome casita. Chablé offers an experience like no other. The entire hacienda is beautifully restored and each element feels natural. Nothing seems out of place and there is a serenity about this place. Chablé is redefining wellness! Talking about wellness - you've got to see the spa and wellness center - one can get lost for hours! The entire center is built around a cenote and is firmly based on the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the wonderful Mayan people. The entire team at Chablé is super friendly and each member is an excellent ambassador of the Mayan heritage. They are there when you need them, but they also leave you alone when you don't. :) That's how interactions should be. If you look for an extraordinary wellness oriented get away, you should seriously look at Chablé. You will not regret this.
before I arrived I was skeptical that this hotel would be worth the room rate. The experience was amazing and the hotel was worth it. The grounds, the pools, the spa, the daily activities and restaurant were amazing. the individual casitas are very private and nicely decorated. I would go back again.
Let me guess: You are thinking about forking out a bucket full of cash for this place, so you’ll want to know that you aren’t being ripped off, and there aren’t that many reviews or photos. So a few thoughts from my recent 3-day visit. Spoiler alter - it’s absolutely worth it. Firstly; the photos don’t show how magical this place is. They don’t show the vastness of this incredibly well-designed and private resort. There’s been no expense spared on the architecture and landscape design. It’s a member of “Luxury Hotels of the World” and it’s clear from the moment you arrive through two large wooden gates why. There’s about 32 casitas (private lodges) which are less than about 18 months old and they’re luxurious and well-equipped. They’ve thought of everything from the speaker system in the ceiling (controlled by an iPad), to the large glass windows around the casitas which back onto thick vegetation and the outside shower (there’s also an inside shower). They provide bikes that are helpful to get around the resort. The spa is an unbelievable experience (the best I’ve had anywhere in the world by a mile) and there’s a restaurant serving vegan, vegetarian and gluten free foods. There’s also another fine dining restaurant (Ixi’im). We used this place as a base to relax mid-way though our vacation, although there’s an archaeological site an hours drive away (we didn’t really want to leave the resort). There’s so many nice touches, from the fresh coffee delivered in the morning to wake-up (before breakfast), to the fresh tea and cakes provided at 5pm in the main house. Finally, and without exception all the staff are very friendly and helpful (we are two guys travelling together), they absolutely made this a trip which we will fondly remember for a very long time.
This hotel is just as magical as you can imagine. My husband and I stayed here to spend 2 nights after our wedding. Everyone working at the hotel (from the director of the hotel Rocco, to one of our many kind waiters Juan) makes every single part of your stay perfect. The hotel is amazing (the decoration, the landscape, the spaces), the restaurants and food in general is to die for, the spa is INCREDIBLE, the attention to detail is just beyond words. Worth every penny and more. This should be marked as the BEST HOTEL in Yucatán without a doubt.
