Overall nice stay. Staff available 24/7 and very nice. Free Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. I do suggest 2nd floor if possible due to noise in courtyard seating area on first but not too bad. Take earplugs for night. I payed $48 on expedia and had room #6 right behind cooking area. Dont suggest it due to some noise but not too bad. Other rooms probably bigger than mine. AIrcondition was great. Nice shower. Room was pretty basic. Hotel about 15 min walk to main plaza in centro and 5 min to south end of paseo de montejo.

This was a great little place. It had a great location and easy to walk anywhere. The host when we checked in was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and all worked well, bed was quite hard. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious in the courtyard. Maybe a bit of noise, in our room due to location next to kitchen, but not a problem. Highly recommend.

We loved our time at the hotel. The staff were always warm and welcoming and willing to go the extra step to make our visit enjoyable. Franko was very knowledgeable and helped us organize the best day trips. Beautiful surroundings and music in the central courtyard where breakfast was served. Good breakfasts and good company at the table.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Building is a period piece, with a certain faded elegance. Open courtyard where breakfast was served. Our room was on the second level. Large room, high ceilings, quiet. Good Wi-Fi and lots of power outlets. Bathroom was okay. Short walk to town, but walking in Merida is seldom pleasant. Good value and pleasant stay.

My husband and I chose Hotel del Peregrino in Merida because of its reasonable price, location and I also liked the idea of staying in what used to be a colonial house. We were not disappointed! The hotel has been completed remodeled and is decorated beautifully in what they call the Traditional Yucatan style, with brightly colored walls and tiles. The hotel is two stories, with rooms and an open kitchen on the main floor. On the second floor, there are more rooms and a couple of sitting areas. Check in was quick and even though we arrived early our room was ready so we were able to settle in immediately. We booked a room with a king-size bed and it was located on the main floor of the hotel, in the back corner near the kitchen. It was quite small but with high ceilings that made it feel larger. It had all of the essentials and was very clean. There were no real windows to the outside, just a small opening above the door that you could crack open a bit if you wanted air from the courtyard. But, since the kitchen is directly outside of the door, you may hear them preparing breakfast in the morning. Generally, we were pleased with the room. Breakfast was included and I think it is different every day (we only stayed one night). Our breakfast included coffee, toast, fruit and eggs with beans and tortillas, which was served at our table. The egg dish had a specific name but I don’t remember it – anyway, it was quite delicious. One nice touch that you don't see at many hotels was a refrigerator stocked with beverages (including wine) that you could purchase. We took advantage of that! As for the location, even though it is in Centro, you will need to walk a few blocks to find anything of interest. But, it was definitely quiet so that is a plus. The only negative is the parking – it is only available on the street and we had to park a few blocks away.

This gem in the Yucatan pennisula capital city is such a treat! A true home away from home in a beautifully restored private home minutes walk from the old city center and everything else! MUY BUENO!!!!!

We drove from Cancun to Merida, without any hotel plans. I researched some places on trip advisor and read good reviews on this place so i decided to check it out. The decorations are beautiful, a real Mexican feeling. The rooms were also nice and spacious. We got a 3 bed room . The beds were comfortable . A.c. for each room and Netflix on the tv. They have a jacuzzi . It was nice to sit there for a while and relax. Breakfast was included , i loved It! We had a bowl of fruit , orange juice or coffee, beans/eggs/ and chilaquiles, and a slice of toast. The customer service was amazing. I don't recall the girls name but she was really nice. I would definitely return one day. I would say it's like 15 mins walking distance from the main attractions . It is also a pretty safe area.

Loved this place for my stay in Merida! Host and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the courtyard area. Walkable to Plaza Grande and Paseo de Montejo areas. Safe with parking on the street.

Room was large and clean. Shower was very good. Staff were exceptional and breakfast was delicious. Location was ok.Our room (ground floor) wasn't very sound proof and reasonably loud from the kitchen. Staff are major selling point here.

I picked this for the price and the great reviews. Way,way better than expected. The staff were very sharp and helpful. Our room was up on top, #14, there was a very nice deck just outside the door. Very good breakfast. Interesting guests. You will be pleased.
