Hotel was a little hard to see from the road passed it several times, I would suggest better signs. The over all cleanliness was good for such an old building, breakfast was free but could have been better. Best thing about this hotel was location to downtown Memphis.

small room but it was clean and served the purpose close to Beale Street so that is a plus.

We read some bad reviews before we went to Memphis about this place... Nothing was true ! Great hotel staff ! Rooms are pretty good for travelers who come for a week end and want to be in downtown.

The hotel staff was very friendly and on the outside looking in, you would think that the hotel was renovated, but it isn't. The only thing that was renovated was the outside of the hotel, the front office and maybe 2 rooms in the front. Lol That's it. No one came by to restock towels, etc in the bathroom, bathroom feels cold and the entire room feels like a dungeon. It was good for the night, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for".

I had the sweetest man check me in my first visit. Second visit. Person outside smoking. Oh u wanna check in? Dang every time I get a chance to smoke something happens. Huh. This is a good deal Downtown Memphis. The rooms are clean. Please check my pics. I have stayed here twice. Once in a king bedroom and this time in a double bedroom. All rooms come with a fridge and microwave. All clean. The rooms are small so if you have a large family this might not be for you but tonight on a Saturday downtown walking distance to Memphis at 60 bucks with my Orbitz coupons this is the best deal in town. The staff are friendly. I have not tried the breakfast yet and it looks to be minimal. Parking is free which is unheard of in Downtown Memphis. If you are walking down to Beale Street I suggest you take Union til at least 2nd Street and then turn left. You're walking GPS will tell you to turn left at 4th Street which is a little bit sketchy but I have never had a problem. Just stay on union for few blocks for safety. Almost 200 tv channels i keep flipping thru so I know Im not getting proper sleep lol. I don't know about the pool because its been cold both visits. I have never even seen an ant and I have brought food back to heat up. No five stars? I hate exterior doors and no elevators like this. I feel safer inside. Personal preference. If you are in town and catch a deal, this is a 5 min walk from where you want to spend your time. May go back out and have me one more.

There was mold on the shower curtain, and the bottom of the bed was dirty. It was not a very pleasant stay.

Tv didn't work. Took 2 days for that. I don't think it would have been fixed if I didn't remind them 4 times. Room wasn't cleaned 1 day. House keeper took my dirty towels and that was it. Told desk and she gave me more towels so I could take them to the room. Saw a bottle cap under my bed. Not mine. Just watched to see if it ever left during my stay. Nope. Plus side. Walking distance to Beale. Had their breakfast one day. Good. Fresh eggs you can watch them make it.

The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating

Outside looks a little rundown but inside is OK and wifi works well. Located a couple of blocks from active businesses, just across from Autozone park, so not many people around. Can be somewhat noisy. Breakfast is decent.

all I can say is this place is awful...too bad because location is great but don't be tempted

The most beautiful fraud that I received on vacation, stay at the Vista Inn for days, ahead of time that I have a reservation from 22 to 31 March already paid, I decide to go out for three days March 27 to 29 to go for a ride in Miami I talk to the receptionist to let my electronic key to the reception and retire on March 29 when I came back, of course I did not take with me the keys to the hotel in case of loss would have to pay them, the receptionist agrees and also says that days i not unexpended i would make them pay back, i return to the hotel on March 29 and my reservation was canceled and the money that beggars are also required. the receptionist did not know what to tell me and looking for an excuse to the manager that I agree a room that I have to leave by 11am on the day, of course I moved to a better hotel near them at the price of $ 105 per night versus $ 95 that motel where to point you do not change the sheets, reeks of old and the shower curtain, has a guilty or and mold. Skip it and go somewhere else, you spend a little more, but you are always better than them.

Super friendly staff, affordable, clean. Was able to walk everywhere from here.... Except Graceland.....The guy at the front desk called a shuttle that picked me up and dropped me off. Peabody and Sun Studios are a couple blocks away in opposite directions. Beale Street is about a 5 minute walk.

Great location for the price. Short walk to Beale street and all kinds of good food

Great location, friendly staff, fairly clean. That's about it.

1. The room looked decent for an older hotel. 2. Shower dripped 24 hours a day. 3.The sink stopped up every time the water was turned on. 4. It was like pulling teeth to get towels, hand towels and especially bath cloths. there were 3 of us, yet they would only bring 1 hand towel and 1 bath cloth each day. Then when we tried to get more, the staff did not speak a word of English. Even hand signals did not work with Vista's crew. 5. Breakfast consisted of eggs, waffles, and miniature muffins, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE SALT AND PEPPER FOR THE EGGS. 6. No coffee maker in the room. 7. On Saturday evening when we drove back to the motel, the parking lot was full with a sign on the street saying " PARKING EVENT $10.00". All the parking spots were filled in front of the rooms and in parking lot. We had to park off in a side area. I have a brand new vehicle and was worried about it being left especially around midnight when people started to return for their parked cars. Anyone could tell they had been drinking by their tone and loudness. They paid $10.00 for a parking spot for a few hours and I was paying more than 10 times that amount to stay there and park my vehicle there. Yet I was the one inconvenienced. 8. PLUS, on two nights on our stay, when we returned to the motel there were 2-3 "ladies" standing out on the sidewalk. They did look as if they might be "short term guests."

Upon arrival, I was asked to sign the hotel off on any responsibility for anything stolen or damaged during my stay at the hotel. Anywhere else, this may be okay, but in Downtown Memphis, at a hotel that does not have security, this is not acceptable. True, you can walk to Beale Street from this hotel, but staying there I never felt safe or secure. Moreover, the rooms were unclean when I arrived. The floors had an oily residue. The towels were NOT clean and pillows actually smelled - indicating that they were not clean either.

The staff was super nice. When we first pulled up, I was skeptical. It almost looks like a motel in an alley. However, the staff was super nice and the room clean. To get to the Fed Ex Forum, we walked down the street and over a few blocks. No frills but served its purpose.

Experience was awful. Pulled up to check in and there were two police vehicles outside. Not a good way to begin your stay ( especially when you have 2 children). Kids were scared. Hotel staff doubled parking lot pay-to-park lot for local event. Didn't feel safe with non guest parking in conjunction with hotel having guests sign a 0 liability waiver. It's like taunting the guests. Will not go back. Will never recommend. Please take off your site.

Mattresses and sofas stacked in the parking lot. Pulled off the bed spread when I walked in and saw blood and bed bug poop all over the place. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY!
