I was charged an extra $50.00 for mud apparently brought in from our boots. We used the boot cleaner located outside prior to entering and was charged the next morning. All of the people staying that week were construction workers so who to say it was us. Also called to resolve the extra charge and have left 2 messages with management with no calls back yet to talk about the charge!!
Pillows fantadtic. 1st room across from ice machine and NOISEY. Moved to room middle of hall and door wouldn't stay shut or lock, heater had constant loud wine. I had to unplug heater to sleep, but room got freezing cold. Rooms are marginally cleaned, lots of dust. But at least no snot on walls.
It appears that the pictures on the wall in the bedroom were removed and the holes patched. Just patched, not sanded, painted, anything. And the splatted from the patching covered the headboard. Noone even bothered to with the dust and splatter off.
Staff was very pleasant. Overall cleanliness was great. Our suite had some minor issues; fireplace and refrigerator did not work. They did put in a replacement refrigerator. The drain plug knob was broke on the Jacuzzi tub but we were still able to use.
After we checked in we went up to our room to get settled. As I was trying to get the door open, a couple a few doors down were also having difficulties. The female approached me and my family as she was headed down to the counter for a new key and stated we might not want to stay because they had bed bugs in their room. We entered our room and did a search and did not find bed bugs in our room. My daughter headed to the restroom and wouldn't use the facilities because she had seen a box elder bug. I was unable to find the bug she saw until the next morning when she pointed to a bug that was crawling across one of the comforters that was touching the ground. Upon inspection, we found the bug was actually a cockroach. I captured it in a cup to take to the front desk, but when we are getting our stuff ready to leave the roach escaped from the cup. We did report the roach to the front desk as soon as we checked out.
So we checked in and my husband and son went to the hot tub. I checked out the motel lobby and went back to the room. I removed a decorative pillow and placed it on the table as they are not washed often and I didn't want it on the bed. So I then proceeded to casually flip over a bed pillow to find a BEDBUG on the underneath side!!! I immediately went to get the clerk and tell my husband to get out of the hot tub we were leaving. The clerk came up to the room, and I showed him the pillow with the bedbug on it. He picked it up and said is it alive? And took it over to better lighting..it moved and he dropped the pillow and ran out of the room. We packed up and left..I spent the next 2 days heat treating EVERYTHING in our suitcase and hanging clothes that was in the room. GROSS! Do NOT stay here..Reported it to corporate and still have not heard from the manager.
Nice staff. There is a front desk clerk we enjoy. She's, friendly, helpful, and eager to help everyone. Great Stay
The motel was ok, until we looked in the bathroom. The tile in the shower was dirty with some black mold in places in the shower. We noticed this about 10 PM so the clerk gave us another room which was ok, but didn’t have special needs bathroom so I had to shower in the pool area the next day. Not the most exciting place to shower but at least it was safe. When asked for a discount price both night and morning clerk said they would have to talk to the manager. So far we haven’t hear anything.
We booked several rooms on short notice to attend a close relative's funeral. For some reason, the website booking said the motel did not have any available rooms. I called the motel directly, explained the need for several rooms and they had the rooms available. Not sure why the website said none were available? We were given a rate lower than the website stated. Nice variety of foods for breakfast. The pool area was very relaxing after a stressful day at the funeral and burial. We plan to take another family trip and stay at this motel again soon--on purpose this time-not to attend another funeral.
Had a good 2 night stay. Internet was slow and breakfast wasn't very good, but rooms and staff were nice.
