We have stayed at several hotels in the area and this one is quite good. The price is reasonable and the room was ample in size. Cleanliness is top notch. Our room was in the second row from the freeway, so it was quiet. I can see that in the rooms on the access road might be noisy. Breakfast room is very small and could use some more variety and/or quality of offering.

Unless a convenient breakfast is a high priority, I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. The room vas not large but was very attractive. Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is very convenient to freeway entrance, stores and restaurants - 5 minute or less. The only downside is what they call breakfast. Coffee and self-serve ingredients to make and microwave your own breakfast sandwich. I would definitely stay there again.

wanted to change the credit card i used to pay for my stay, the man at the front desk would not let me. very rude.

The motel was filthy. Lights were out, bathroom had mold, bed had insects, and the service was terrible. Very rude and would not recommend this motel for anyone! Be cautious of booking at this hotel.

I gave a 3 on room cleanness because there was left over food in the refrigerator. I stay there a lot and the room was not totally up to my expectations in terms of being clean.

comfortable, clean and friendly staff. I always enjoy my stay there.

No complaints, room was clean but the free breakfast was sketchy. Pre cooked and you needed to reheat eggs and bacon

Location was perfect for my needs Mill Valley, Berkeley and Napa. Easy freeway access and helpful staff, clean and comfortable!

Very clean and quite room. Good value for the price.

The Marinwood Inn is located less than a minute off the freeway and minutes from great shopping and restaurants. The rooms are clean and newly remodeled.

I caught the alarm clock set for 3, but not the TV. Maids should check for this. Also, they charged my credit card even though the room was prepaid and are fighting the refund

This hotel really is a great value for the area. It is located about 30 minutes from San Francisco. The only room for improvement is the upkeep of the rooms. The bathroom was "caulked" around the tub and was done so unprofessionally that It looked very bad. The bath faucet looked like a 'frankenfaucet'. Several sprinkler heads did not have covers on them. One electrical outlet did not have a cover on it, which is a code violation in most places. Those things being cosmetic (except for $0.50 outlet cover), this is still a place that I would recommend.

Extraordinary - great value. Our room was recently rehabbed - very upscale, very clean, decent continental breakfast with toast, cereal, etc. Surprisingly QUIET even though close to the highway. Very good restaurant on site - excellent upscale choices and even a good wine list. People were friendly all round. Comfortable bed. One comment - they need to install shower curtain liners or their brand new cotton shower curtains will be ruined.

Clean, easy freeway access, quiet, newly renovated and very comfortable beds.

Our experience at this hotel was great! Our plan was to visit San Rafael for 2 days and then jump into San Francisco afterwards. This location allowed us to do both of those places. Although a little further out from San Francisco the amazing drive in compensated for the extra 10 mins it took to get there. Highly recommend

The hotel was nice. Updated rooms and restaurant on site now. The parking lot is small but easily manageable.

First impression of place is a staff member outside smoking. Room was clean and nicely renovated. Bed was hard. Only issue was toilet paper in bathroom was moldy! Breakfast was ordinary. Close to freeway and Larkspur ferry so, it worked to get the Giants game just fine!
