The friendliness and the quality of hospitality care the hotel staff delivered is commendable. I couldn’t thank them enough for a service very well delivered. Special mention to Ken, my cleaner who deserves more than just praise. He is always ready and willing to take that extra step to make every hotel patron’s stay a memorable stay. The hotel is always very clean, the rooms are sound-proofed, and the staff were always ready to fix my card keys. I was bery well treated from check in to check out. I couldn’t ask for a better service than this one. I will go back to this hotel, if I look for a more convenient place close to the airport. 👍👍👍 This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star rating for services.

No refrigerator in the room, AC wasn’t always working properly and other guests were EXTREMELY loud into the late hours of the night almost every night we stayed, one night we woke up to a banging at the door as if someone was trying to push their way in. Front door man would continuously ask my fiance if she was a “visitor/guest” after he saw us check in together and leave and come back together to the hotel for two weeks straight upsetting me and making my fiance feel extremely uncomfortable like she was some sort of escort or something. I do give props to a couple of the front desk people and the cleaning crew their work was impeccable. Talk to your front door man about harassing guests and their significant others.

Air Conditioning was great, staff were very friendly, bug free, clean. Looks like pictures. Very loud due to the Jeepnys. Its a very convenient location, 7/11 literally in the same property. Just be aware, its downtown Ermita, you will see lots of poverty, smell lots of smells, be asked for change or food a lot. But thats how it is there, not the hotels fault, very convenient location. I felt safe walking down the street but im a 26 y.o male pretty large stature, I personally wouldnt want any women in my family walking down that road by themselves.

I have been staying at this hotel since it opened, but standards are definitely slipping. When I checked in my shower had a major leak, which I had to report three times to get fixed, the same happened with my tv, three reminders to get someone to attend. Towels were stained, dingy and threadbare. Housekeeping only came on the days I asked. I realize this is not a luxury hotel, but it should have some basic standards.

Business Trip, 1 Person My stay at Hop Inn Hotel Ermita Manila was excellent. The entire property felt clean, safe, and very well maintained. My room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and everything—from the air conditioning to the shower—worked perfectly. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful at all times. Check-in and check-out were fast and uncomplicated, and the security team gave me a very reassuring feeling during my entire stay. The location is also great: central, easy to find transportation, and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Overall, the hotel offers an amazing price-to-quality ratio, and I truly appreciated the calm, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again. Salamat

Warning to fellow travelers: Avoid Expedia & HOPP Inn Manila I was booked into the wrong HOPP Inn location in Manila via Expedia — meant to stay at Makati with my group, but ended up booked at Ermita due to confusing listings. Tried to cancel via the Expedia app (which failed multiple times), and after 45 mins of back-and-forth with hotel staff and slow online support, I was told to pay again directly and get a refund later. I did exactly that. But once home, Expedia denied the refund, claiming HOPP Inn Makati said, I was a “no-show” — despite chat logs and hotel staff confirming the switch. Both Expedia and HOPP Inn have failed to honor the agreement made at the time. It’s not about the money — it’s about principle. I was misled, inconvenienced, and ultimately ignored. I won’t be using Expedia or staying at HOPP Inn again, and I hope this post helps others avoid the same dishonest treatment. #Expedia #HOPPInn #TravelWarning #CustomerServiceFail #TravelTips
