This hotel is mediocre at best. Yes they have an excellent breakfast but it was not included in my room rate. I was informed that it would be Euro 11 however to get this deal you have to pay up front for the entire stay if not it becomes Euro 15 per person. Surprise. The other gripe I had was although the weather was quite nice l like to sleep with a/c so when I flipped on the a/c to what came out was heat. I called the front desk and they told me that they could not turn on the a/c for just my room it would have to be the entire hotel so unfortunately no a/c and I could not sleep with the window open due to the noise from the street and freeway and I was on the 11th floor. This also seems to be a very busy transit hotel where they bring in bus loads of tourists. Three mornings in a row when we went down for breakfast we couldn’t find a place to sit. I don’t recommend it.
This hotel is useful if you need to utilize the Chamartin Train Station, as we did on the morning following out arrival in Madrid. The room is fine, clean, not small, but nothing really special. The bed was good and the shower was great -- perhaps the best aspect of the stay. We had to leave early, so no breakfast and not much contact with staff after check-in. It is not cheap, but it is convenient.
The rooms are simple and clean and the cleaning staff so non intrusive you hardly notice them.Nice views all round but the rooms at the front side have the better view due to lack of any construction near by, very rare in a city. The restaurant also has an amazing view and the staff: waiters, waitresses very helpful especially a gentleman called Miguel, he was very helpful to us with our limited spanish.
This was our final stop of a whirlwind tour of Spain for spring break. The room was of average size and clean. The bed was two twin sized beds that were put together, which we found to be common in most hotels in Spain. Check in was a pain, there were multiple steps that you had to negotiate especially with large or having multiple luggage. The saving grace was location, as it is located very close to the Metro which afforded easy access to the city center. The property did have a breakfast buffet that served typical Spain fare, ie. Iberian ham, breads, cereal, some fruit, and pastries. Distance to the airport was not to bad at 15-20min. Overall, an average stay.
Good accommodations. Excellent restaurant staff. Can hear other guests, but overall a pleasant stay (front desk could use a little cheer!). REALLY convenient to major transportation station. We'll come back.
I took a mini break in Madrid and wanted to stay in a place that would not strain my wallet and was close to public transport. TRYP Hotel Madrid Chamartín met both criteria. The neighborhood around the hotel is not particularly attractive. However, it is less than five minutes away on foot from the Chamartín train and subway station, making travel within and outside of Madrid extremely convenient. (The tourist office in the train station is, however, not the best one. The lady is friendly, but hardly speaks English, and didn't really give us accurate information.) The hotel room was a bit on the smallish side if you have to share it with another person. However, we were out most of the time, so it didn't matter that much. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and closet were spacious. The breakfast was ok, with good variety of fruit, breads, processed meat, cereal and cheese. Enjoy the freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel seems to be popular with tour groups (over the seven-day period that we were there we saw two different groups of American tourists) as well as local tourists. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Check in was ok . It took time as you need to give credit card for accidentals. Room was provided on the 3rd floor . Elevator is small but efficient . Room was spacious but the king bed which we requested was a bit different . It was 2 bed combined into one and to top that had wheels lol. Bathroom was clean with soap in the form of gel . Other toiletries included head cover , dental kit , comb , towels . Bath tub with hot/ cold water option . Mini fridge was available. We had a pool view room which was good althoughweather was cold so could not use it . There is an elevator from ground floor but sometimes the outside door was locked so had to climb stairs to reach reception then take elevator to the rooms. Breakfast available at euro 15 each which was basic buffet. We ate outside. Take train from airport to chamartin station when you land in Madrid. If you land in terminal 1 take the free blue bus to terminal 4. Look for the train signs. You want C1 to chamartin not RENFE. At the end of station are the red machine cost about euro 2.50 Chamartin is the 3rd stop. When you come out of the platform walk to the side of the car park where the road exits the building via bridge. You may have to climb down stairs or use elevator on the opposite side. Hotel is just across the road seen from the car park .
I made the booking for this hotel for 18-22 March 2018 ( via Agoda Booking No. 254151269) which clearly showed Book now and pay which by standard means you have option to cancel booking anytime. ( Pay now charges were different) and immediately upgraded the booking to ( 254152197) to inclue breakfast in it The website ( agoda) even without asking OTP or verification charged me 2 times on the card. When we complain to the hotel of the same via. Agoda after 7 days they flatly refuse to reimburse the amount and on further complaining offered you can have the 2 rooms. What kind of nonsense service is this. What will I do with 2 rooms How can you charge the customer without OTP transaction just becuase you have his credit card details . its a fraud
This hotel is nestled next to the Chamartin metro station in Madrid. It's a quiet area with just a few restaurants and shops. We were here with a group. Breakfast and lunch buffets were very good. Lots of variety and since we were with a lot of hungry boys, it was a godsend. Rooms were comfortable. My room looked over the pool, but some of our teammates were looking over toward downtown Madrid. There were a few dilapidated tents out that way but don't let that discourage you from staying. The staff was very nice, even though some did not speak English, we made it through with my broken Spanish. Would recommend this hotel.
Good clean hotel.near train station.easy access to city and tourist area...Located near a mall as well to get things easily.Pharmacy nearby as well. The bar is really nice with affordable drinks. Had a pleasant stay at this hotel! Staff friendly
