staff named Janet who was at the front desk at the same time ceaning the dishes was so rude 1.She made us wait so long and with her sarcasm almost made us cance our reservation.

i love where it is located, and the staff is super great. I did not like: room 7 had a smell to cigarrettes that permeated the room. It was always present. I dont know if it was due to someone smoking or if it is perennial to the room. I mentioned it. I did not request to change rooms as i was on business travel and hardly spent time in the room other than to sleep. the wifi was very bad. i could not stream any short clips , etc and the signal kept disconnecting. that should definitely improve since now adays everyone looks for wifi. other than that, i would def come back to this hotel. it's reallly nice and affordable.

Very centrally located. I would stay again. Bedding may be a bit hard or uncomfortable for some. Accommodations met my needs and were reasonably priced. Staff was kind and Daily maid service excellent.

The property was in the heart of Madrid. Many of the sites and museums were walkable. The hotel was basic, but comfortable, clean, and had friendly service. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is great, but the property is very old and sketchy.

I just stayed for a night. I am asking for a credit for the rest of the days.

I love the location, and the staff was GREAT!, It was kept clean, but the paper thin walls, and the two cold showers, those where not Ideal for me.. I also wished there was a place to smoke. I would have preferred a room with a view, rather than a view of the laundry room.

In the center, almost everything is walking distance , but this comes with the price...the noise

Nice people... price is what you pay for ..........

The location was great but the rooms are small , especially the shower! The bathroom door didn’t shut at all. WiFi was spotty. The air worked! The small balcony was nice. It was close to a subway.

The location couldn't have been better. Breakfast included was certainly nice, and the room was basic and served it's purpose. Sound really does echo and carry inside the building, but most guests were respectful and quiet. No complaints.

Great location, nice staff, paper thin walls so we had to whisper because everyone could hear us, beds were terrible, very basic breakfast, bathrooms were clean. The private rooms with the bathrooms could be nice if they got better beds and have newer towels. The whole place just needs a bit of TLC. We stayed during New Year's Eve and the noise from the next room was much louder than the noise from the Plaza.

The outside of the building was depressing, but the 4th floor where the hostal was was just fine. Good location. Airconditioning and internet, too!

It was great for the price. More of a guesthouse (or hostel) than a hotel. There was a shared bathroom which I dont think was mentioned, but it was nice and clean (with AC!)

The place was great and the staff lovely. the location is as central as it gets and we traveled by foot throughout our stay. Only downside was the noise (from the square outside and from the next room, the walls are quite thin).

loved this hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful and such a great location.Noise from the square is loud if your on the outer rooms so if u cant sllep bring a sound machine, other than that ,wow loves it, the staff were very helpful and kind...
