What a fabulous stay. Hotel is directly across from Retiro Park - which is great for breakfast or a leisurely lunch. Staff in hotel were friendly and helpful. Family room (203) was spacious, spotlessly clean and quiet as it didn't face the main road. Towels changed every day and toiletries replenished too. Really special touches of a note, bottle of fizz and brownies left in the room for our anniversary and a lovely dessert for my wife's birthday a few days later. Will definitely return to Madrid and Petite Palace Savoy Alfonso XII in the near future. Best city hotel we've every stayed in.
The location of this classic hotel is wonderful. We paid a little extra for a balcony overlooking the park and we enjoyed the view and the breeze very much. The place has been renovated and restyled on the room floors. The pros: .beautiful walk-in, multi-head showers; the availability of a 110 v plug on the desk; red indicator-lights outside rooms that are triggered when one turns on the electrical lights in the room. The cons: Fixable: there are no facial tissues in the room or bath; Not-so-fixable: The modern, decor and signage that, in my opinion, is out of place in this classic facility. I wish they'd saved that for their boutique properties and keep this hotel as a "classic." The hotel staff was attentive and very pleasant. I'd certainly stay here on a future visit. PS. There are other Petit Palace properties in Madrid, so make sure your cab driver knows the full name of the hotel you want.
This hotel is extremely well located , directly across from the beautiful Parque Retiro. It is 2 blocks from the Prado Museum and a very short walk to Plaza Mayor. The rooms are small and modern but more than adequate. The beds are excellent, the bathroom spacious, and everything is very clean. The outstanding part of the hotel is the young and extremely helpful staff. ALL of the staff we met could not have been more professional or responsive but I would like to single out a young intern, Raul, who was concurrently in hospitality management school. He will be a big sucess one day because he clearly cared about the guests and finding ways to be helpful! This hotel is a fine choice for anyone.
If you look for a great value for money, this is the place to be. The location is great, the hotel is classy with a modern touch and service if very good. For the amateurs, the breakfast will give you a perfect start with top quality products for everyone. We will come back!
We truly enjoyed our time at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were lovely, customer service was outstanding, and even the welcome drinks were wonderful. Would love to return to this charming spot in Madrid!
Selected this hotel off our medical meeting hotel menu. Nothing was close to IFEMA (conv center) and wanted an area where we would have green space, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. Easy walk to main museums, Paseo del Prado, Retiro Park, Salamanca shopping, and metro stops. Quick access to Uber/taxis for work transportation. Convenient if you bring a spouse/kids and try to work. Breakfast and meals are wonderful! Rooms clean and adequate; hotel is quiet and with essential amenities plus an in-room laptop. Would def recommend this to others coming to Madrid!
Excellent room with balcony overlooking the Retiro Park. The entrance to the hotel was opposite an entrance to the park. This made a pleasant short walk through the park to the metro station and easy access to main attractions. (The Prado Museum is also a few minutes walk away). The hotel décor is modern but classy. The staff were welcoming and helpful. (A minor issue over the bedroom safe was dealt with immediately). Prices for both the hotel bar and mini-bar were very reasonable. Excellent food with plenty of choice for breakfast. Free use of bikes was available and if our stay had been longer I would have made use of this.
We had 2 nights in this wonderfully positioned hotel. Our room looked out onto Retiro Park, and despite a busy road there, the traffic noise was hardly heard due to the double glazed window/doors. The hop on/hop off Red Bus stops 50 meters up the road, making easy access to all parts of the city centre. However, much is walking distance anyway. The breakfast was simply splendid with wide variety and "Healthy " options. The staff at the front desk were always very helpful, and Sergio was outstanding, with cheerful disposition and willingness to go the extra mile helping. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Service and food excellent. At breakfest you could order fried eggs, omelett etc. Good service and allways a smile from the staff. Rooms were nice but a bit small. We had a business meeting with 15 persons and it was well facilitated by the staff. I recommend this hotell both for business and pleasure.
We were there one week and we really enjoyed it. Staff was really nice both at reception but also at the brekfast room. So friendly, so pleasant, so helpful. The hotel itself was great too. Clean and tidy and at a great location. Imagine being in a big city like Madrid and waking up seeing the huge green park of Retiro in front of you! Ladies at breakfast room and the reception thank you for being so nice!
