Upon arrival early in the moring, Rafa was more than courteous and held on to our luggage until we could check in. The staff was super friendly and accommodated us with pleasure. So glad we chose to stay at One Shot Luchana. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Stayed at this hotel for 7 days and would stay here again. I arrived much earlier than check-in time but was able to get in my room right away. Decor was simple which I loved. The toiletries provided were perfect and was great for my son who forgot his toothbrush but no worries because one was provided in the room :) The breakfast was typical Spanish breakfast which was perfect. The coffee or "cafe con leche" was delicious! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I left a small toiletry bag in my room in purpose and forgot to put a note that it was for donation and I got an email about it asking what I wanted them to do with it, what great service! Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting something in a great location, metro station right outside the hotel, comfortable, clean, simple and in my opinion worth the fee they charge.

Due to our early morning arrival from Massachusetts, we arrived at the hotel about 8:30AM with a reservation for a room in the afternoon. The wonderful staff said come back about 9:30AM and the housekeeping staff would have our room ready! While breakfast was obviously not included in our early arrival, the following day we found it to be excellent. The rooms are modern and have every convenience, but the interior for those want it to be fancy is spartan modern, which we loved. Very stylish, very simple, no geegaws, nothing unnecessary. It even had a small balcony. Even the bathroom has a movement sensitive light so a dim light goes on when you enter in the middle of the night! Over a Metro station, close to restaurants and bars, buses at the door.

If you are willing to walk the hotel is no more than 30 mins walk from the palace, playa major, pardo museum, grand via and retiro park. Alternatively the metro is literally outside the door and easy to use. We also visited the football stadium which was a five min walk to a different metro then only three stops away. The room was lovely and the sound proof double doors at the balcony were great, it was so quiet. The receptionists are lovely and so helpful with all queries. We didn't eat or drink in the bar so can't comment but did take drinks to our room which were well priced, wine was eur2.70 a glass. Tip try the waffle and crepe restaurant on the core no English menus or staff but easy to pick what you want. And don't miss the roof top garden bar at artes, we found it by luck after walking down grand via towards pardo. Amazing views and atmosphere.

My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary and were looking forward to this stay. Lovely hotel which does need some updating of general paint work etc. Great location. Sad to say that the service let us down. Lovely girls but seemed only 3 girls at best were working, 2 most of the time! So if you order food the bar girl goes to quickly cook it, basic sandwiches then you can’t get a drink! Rooms cleaned but breakfast tray not taken and no menu anywhere to order room service. Breakfast can be eaten on your terrace but when you call to order, if they answer the phone they ask what you want but you don’t know what is on offer - ordered and most of the order is wrong and we speak Spanish!! One morning we called at 11 and breakfast is 7-11 and we’re told no. Ok we were pushing it after a late night but no chance of any food and the hotel was empty! So service was a big big let down, this hotel is not cheap and would be so much better if we the service was not only offered by 2/3 young girls who chat and watch tv more than offer good service.

We decided to stay in this hotel to see another area in Madrid. The rooms are very clean and have super comfy beds and staff are very nice. However, we paid a bit extra to have a balcony and were a bit disappoionted when we opened the french doors to find a fully enclosed balcony with windows to open - which to me is only an extension on the room! another annoying thing was each time you wanted the air conditioning on you needed to phone reception. However, overall a nice hotel in a nice area.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, super comfortable beds, linens and pillows! We had to check out early for a flight so they packed each of us a picnic breakfast. Everything is in walking distance. Most employees speak English making it very easy for us!

My brother and I decided to visit Madrid for a quick weekend visit and we decided to stay at the One Shot Luchana 22. I went for this hotel on the basis of the price, 4 start rating and relatively close location to the city centre. The hotel is right next to the Bilbao Metro station. Check in wasn’t a breeze as we had requested a twin room, but on arrival into the room we found that it was a Double. I went down to bring this to their attention, but was told that there were no twin rooms available, but there were balcony twin rooms available but we would need to pay extra if we want one as they were more expensive rooms. As this wasn’t our fault, I would have thought we should have been given a twin room if one was available regardless of its price given that it was a hotel error. We were told that they would have something available tomorrow, so we could pack up in the morning, leave our bags in the room and housekeeping would move our bags to the twin room when ready – that’s what we did, but not ideal. The room itself was fine, no carpets, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean and the en-suite was terrific! Very spacious, complimentary toiletries, and again very clean. There was also a tv in the room, desk chair, safe etc. We didn’t opt for the buffet breakfast so can’t really comment on that apart from the fact it seemed very expensive and I didn’t notice anyone else having I either. So asides from the aforementioned disappointing start, no other complaints from me – not a bad hotel for a Madrid City Break.

I booked my room via Expedia. I was quite surprised that the staff from the hotel would approach me to check if I would like to book any shuttle service without me even asking. Due to my work schedule, I wasn't able to confirm till very last minute but the staff was still be able to make this arrangement for me. I flew over to Madrid for the weekend from Porto very earlier on a Saturday. I wasn't be able to check in right away. The staff on duty offer to take my luggage and gave me a quick introduction on where I could go to have a walk around. The hotel is around 15- 20 minute walk away from the Gran Via street and the city center. The Bilbao metro station is just right next door. Hence, it's not right in the busy district but yet still within the walking distance. My room was very tiny with a little balcony. It's clean and cozy. The bed is super comfortable I must say! There wasn't much TV channel available. The wifi is ok as well in case you gotta work. The only downside was my room was right next to the elevator. It could get really noisy out when people rolling their luggages on the wooden floor early morning and at night.

Great hotel in great location! Couldn't fault a thing! The rooms were spacious and v clean! The service was excellent even when some of the staff spoke little English. The location was ideal for us! The metro station is Bilbao which is right outside the hotel and this is two stops away from the centre of Madrid called Sol. Must visit!
