Very Confortable and conveniently situated in the financial upscale District.

We got to the hotel at 12 noon. Even though check-in is at 3:00 p.m., we got into our room with no trouble whatsoever. The room was clean and quiet with a flat screen TV, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; I could not have asked for friendlier or more helpful service. The hotel is not near the bustling city center, Puerto del Sol, but it doesn't matter - it's right by the Gregario Maranon Metro stop, so all of the sights are just a short subway ride away. Nice restaurants and cafes are just a short stroll away down the tree-lined paseo. There's also a pharmacy right by the hotel in case you need to pick up any toiletries you forgot to pack. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Madrid.

Rooms are clean and well maintained, wi-fi can be alittle slow but who's complaining when it is free. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful, however both times we ordered room service orders were mixed up. However we recommend checking out the nearby smaller restaurants for authentic local fare when dining. Would definetely stay here again.

About 20mins walks from the city center but otherwise nice clean rooms, friendly staff with all english speaking, restaurant is quite mainstream, I suggest checking out the coll tapas bars about a block away for more authentic and exciting spanish fare.

Friendly staff especially concierge service. Made Madrid one of my favorite cities to visit.

Hotel was beautiful. Bed was unbelievable. Would be nice if the had a indoor pool/jacuzzi or sauna. Restaurnt in hotel was very expensive but the food was excellent! Right near metro. In residential area.

overall magnificent service and hotel. beds are unbeatable as well as the location, you can walk anywhere or take a quick ride on taxi, metro or bus. if you are there for business, is a fully busniess equipped hotel, for pleasure is wonderfully well equipped and service is unbeatable. if you can make sure you get a club room, you get access to the executive level and get a lot of freebies. rooms are sometimes a bit small but so is everywhere else in europe.

as good as it gets , truly world class service, exceptional building overall as well as rooms.

Nice hotel; great concierge; Location is OK, but not great. If I return to Madrid, I would prefer to stay closer to Plaza Mayor. Another problem with location is that on weekends the breakfast places open too late for anyone trying to get an early start. Food is way too expensive.

besides the fact that the hotel does not have a spa in house, which is typically a necessity for frequent travelers, you cant beat the hotel. unbelievable service, rooms and location. it feels "new" unlike the larger more conservative places like the palace or the ritz. it is definetly business oriented.

hotel is far less than what you'd expect from an intercontinental property. Location is near metro and buses, but not perfect for someone visiting madrid for a few days. It is in an area that seemed better suited for a business traveller. The hotel isn't a nightmare, but again, a far cry from what I have come to expect from the five star rating the sight gives it. Next time I will stay closer to sol, or plaza mayor. Also, don't expect much from the concierge.

Perfect location for business travelers, as well as ideal hotel accomodations and business facilities. Location is in heart of business center, minutes away from almost everything. very secure area. Club level suites are the most preferable ones.

This is a classic hotel with all the amenities and level of service one would expect. The rooms were grand. The service was absolutely impeccable. Though the location is not close to the downtown area (Plaza del Sol, etc.) you are just few blocks away from the "Rodeo" Drive of Madrid. Absolutely love it!

the room was too small. we could not open the drapes due to all the across windowes are looking into our room. I do like a bright room with no drapes. I asked to change our room. the answer was no.

very nice hotel,quiet,confortable.

My boyfriend and I spent a week in Madrid and the staff at the Inter made it special. Rarely you'll find hotel employees who will go out of their way to please guests like they did. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because our room had a double bed instead of queen or king. The hotel is quite beautiful, old European style I'd say, but with all the modern efficiencies. There's also a small gym with the basics (weights and cardio machines) It was a bit out of the way, however if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep, this is it. There's a metro station right around the corner so location (which is in the wealthy section of town) wasn't really a problem. Madrid is an amazing city with so much to offer. The museums, the food, the drinks (Spanish wine is great and so much more affordable than French or Italian - the local beer Mahou is great, and the coffee, hmmmm, delicious). We also spent a couple of days in Toledo and Segovia, much smaller towns but equally interesting and full of culture (use the AVE fast train to both - you're going to love it - and it's super affordable). I hadn't been to Madrid in 16 years and it was my boyfriend's first time. He came back highly impressed at how nice Spanish people are, especially in the small towns (he wants to go back :) Overall a great trip! Highly recommended.

The hotel sits just outside of the main part of Madrid, but the hotel is beautiful. Staff very friendly and professional. We would definitely stay there again. Nice restaurant a few blocks away called wagaboo great food.

Overall great business experience, great stay. Amazing beds, some of the best in the world, key for all business travelers. It is very convenient to be on the Ambassador program, for the additional perks and offerings, as well as free upgrades of all kinds. Perfect for business and work. Great service, very rare in spain.

I visit Madrid often on business and this is by far the best hotel with the best value for your money. It is a business location. Close to absolutely everything in Madrid. Unbeatable service, which is hard to find in Spain, very comfortable infrastructure, prepared for business travelers with Wifi, Club room, meeting rooms, etc. Within walking distance of Salamanca and great restaurants. Really good concierge service. Rooms with views of Paseo Castellana have a balcony, great for a late break.

we asked for a King. none available. they offered us a double joined together and FREE breakfast. when it was time to check out they claimed no info on the free breakfast and charged us nearly $350.00 USD. They said they always have problems with Orbitz and its customers. We felt betrayed. Won't go there again.
