Horrible 4 stars hotel I ever came across. Although this hotel was located inside Chamartin Railway station but it main access entrance was hiding in the railway station carpark. Take a 2 escalator up or lift lobby hiding at the corner to the hotel lobby. Is very troublesome everytime you leaving the hotel. The first impression on this hotel to me, it looks like hotel in the 80s, lacks of renovation. Mostly outdated facilities. Room door are made of wooden, need to close very hard and can heard loud banding whenever people try to close the doors. Poor soundproof, uncomfortable bed, old dirty towels etc. Windows unable to lock at all, can feel the cool air into the room during my winter stay. Dare not use the blanket,as it looks really old dirty without change or wash for years. The room does not come with any charging point, the only point where I can charge my phone is behind the TV. No comments on restaurant, never got a time to have a breakfast. Go ahead if you somewhere near Chamartin Railway Station.Overall, this hotel is a nightmare to me. Avoid if you need a clean tidy room and a peaceful sleep.
This hotel is ok and could be considered as a nice one but nothing extra which can make any body impressed stayed for 2 nights from the 12 of March till yesterday the 14th room 514 the hotel is situated nearly half way between the airport T.4 and the city centre only 3 stops from the airport and the hotel is just out side the station can't miss it and again 2 more stops on the train you are in the heart of Madrid in an area called Sol . I always like when I travel to use buses as public transportation so that I can take the chance and look around so I asked one of the reception staff about busses to Sol and he didn't know and said only train or metro and he wasn't very informative to go out of the hotel to find out bus no 5 takes into Sol.in about 50 minutes. My room rate had no breakfast included so on check in I added my breakfast and paid 12 euros per day to cover my breakfast. in the morning the guy in charge of breakfast said it is not covered and wanted me to pay again for it, this was very embracing plus language problem with nearly all the staff any way finally I managed to show him the receipt of payment to sort the problem out so this is a mistake from the young lady who checked me in without adding my breakfast to my room. also the breakfast buffet had everything you may think of apart of fried eggs and omelette only scrambled eggs and when I asked for fried eggs the answer was sorry not available strange ???? Language in Madrid is a very big barrier you can hardly find anybody who speaks a little bit of English and even all the signs especially in the metro and bus stops are in only Spanish so it is very easy for non Spanish speakers I meant tourists to get lost I'm a frequent traveller and never had this problem but in Madrid I got lost more than once trying to find my way inside the metro stations. The room was ok but very basic and as I mentioned nothing special. Will I go back yes if I have no other option and no if I have another option.
Great location if you need to be close to Chamartin Train Station: it’s in the same building and it takes you 2 min to get to the train platform. The staff (reception and breakfast) was nice and attentive. The room was uncomfortable: bad soundproofing (to the outside and between rooms), it was not possible to regulate air conditioning temperature, and it smelled of tobacco smoke (there was an ashtray in the table, so I suppose I was given a smoking room... thought there was no such thing anymore).
It's a very inexpensive hotel, adjacent to a train station and rather far outside the centre of Madrid. The room is clean and functional, but it is soulless. The walls are bare, not even any of the banal art prints you might expect. Nothing. Which draws the eye to the dings and smudges of people's luggage and shoes against the wainscoting. The internet is free, but if you are not using your device for more than 10 minutes, it falls off line, and you have to close and reconnect. I could hear my neighbor coughing in the night, and people talking as they walked down the hall. The only English channel I found on TV was CNBC, and the business news quickly became tiresome. Breakfast has a lot of choices, but it is very noisy and I came back to my table to find my dishes had been cleared and someone else sitting in my seat. Bottom line -- if you want a cheap, clean room, this is it. But don't expect anything else.
The location is excellent right on top of Chamartin station. The room is spacious and cleanliness in general is very good. The staff are all very friendly and speak fluent English. The breakfast is highly recommended.
For a business meeting in the neighbourhood, we decided to stay in this hotel. The hotel is located at the train station and as such the location is great. In all honesty that is all positive I can share about this hotel. The check in took a while, the rooms are small, the bedding is really outdated and the breakfast is moderate compared to similar hotels in the Madrid area. Most annoying was the noise from the street even on the higher floors. Will definitely look for an alternative next time
Stayed in this hotel for 2 days because 1) close to where our son lives 2) close to airport 3) right at Chamartin Hotel 'cause we're taking train to Avila for day trip. Very basic but clean hotel. NO early check-in. The lady didn't even bother to check if any room is available. However, special compliments to Enrique, who was extremely friendly & helpful in arranging us a taxi to Airport when we check-out.
Good place to stay for one or two days. Hotel location is good, easy access to public transportation. The internet access was very bad in the room. and no ventilation sys. in the bath. After all I will come back again.
First is good to point out that it is not a four stars hotel, I'm sorry guys, the paintings the maintenance are not in the excellence I would expect if I was looking for such. The staff, in general, is super cool, but, the receptionists are not as much, all the others are very pleasant people, especially the cleaning staff. The location is also good, easy to go to city center and easy to get from the MAD airport, just above a metro and train stations. The breakfast is also good, real orange juice and good food. We had problems with Internet, they manage to fix it (sort of), now without roaming across Europe it is okay, but it could be very annoying.
I stayed two nights at this hotel. The room was fine but not very modern. The hotel sounds an old one. The breakfast was also very good. Internet was terrible. It was even off for half a day or more and it really impacted my life there. The staff couldn't communicate in English very well and the reception was not very responsive when called from the room. I probably won't stay in this hotel anymore and don't recommend it to any other one, too.
