I was most surprised by the excellence of this hotel I booked a 3 night stay on Booking.com in a double room and it cost just under £100 total. Billed as a 1 star hotel is a grave injustice. With a lift (in a very old historic building!), free excellent working wifi and, thirdly, aircon/heating in the rooms, the facilities here surpassed what I have experienced in many a Spanish 3 star. The room was basic, but clean, lovely and characterful. This building is probably one of the old palatial nobility homes of the former sherry barons, as are many in the street. The parking is the main issue, as you can only have metered parking on one side of the one-way street, but navigating around is easy. The icing on the cake was the lovely friendly and helpful lady at reception. Its central location is also a huge bonus and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
I first want to speak of the room that I stayed in a suite, upon arriving in the room it was horrible from hot and it smelled like moffo the hot air coming out of the airconditioning. We stayed two nights, we arrived in good health and we left, my husband and his son with influenza because of the poor circulation of the device and not done cleaning maintenance accumulating bacteria that left us constipated. Breakfast, one of the worst breakfast I've ever tasted in all the hotels I've been to, even the stomach aches I've had. Besides the few options, the part that served hot was not hot food unfortunately, fruits - very poor only melon and oranges,Horrible experience. Remembering that the small lunch is paid and not cut of the hotel, now imagine if the small lunch was offered the hotel as it would be? In my opinion this hotel is far from taking 4 stars. .
I stayed here for the night on a stop-over. I know Madrid very well, having lived there for 20 years. This hotel was more than reasonable. It cost myself and another person only 50 euros the room with two twin beds for one night. The beds are super comfortable, bedooms and bathroom with hairdryer are very clean and the staff could not have been friendlier. We had dinner in the bar on the ground floor, delicious and again very reasonable, and then not having paid for the all-inclusive breakfast had 2 croissants and 2 coffees the next morning in the restaurant on the -1 floor. That was less than 5 euros. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel if you are in Madrid for a stop-over. Don't bother about paying for the carpark as there are plenty of spaces on the streets nearby to park for free. If you are in Madrid to see the sights, it is a little isolated, but there are buses and the metro station can get you into the centre in next to no time at all.
nice and friendly staff clean rooms good looking hotel and big lobby breakfast fast completely ok in the right floor great view across madrid by taxi: 15-20€ to the center - 10min by pub-trans.: individual price - 20.min max near to bernabeau! :-D
It's a very pleasant hotel, where people are particularly friendly. I like its location, quite, but at the same time not far away from anything. Tube, bus and taxi very close. Love the lobby and the bar, not so much the restaurant for the lack of natural light. Rooms comfortable and cosy and with the right temperature. Bathroom was renewedd and very clean. The flow of water was not so good, but maybe was because of the shower head, a detail not working so well. I will go back, still.
Big room, very clean every day, super big and comfortable bed. Bus station is very close - 4-5min walk from the hotel. Nice and helpful staff. Definitely worth the money. The only minus would be that there is no metro close and buses only go until 23:30.
It was an pleasure to stay in this hotel. The staff was friendly, promt and knowledgeable. The rooms are are extemely clean, well mainlined tidy. beds are so comfortable and guarantee a gread night sleep. The hotel was quiet by night. The breakfast was really nice with a good range of foods choose from. We couldn't have asked for more. Would recomanded.
Close to the airport, a bit difficult to find. A big hotel suited for business travellers. Breakfast buffet was good, the only thing that it was lacking was fresh vegetables or some king of salad. The spa was a bit small for the amount of guest that the hotel can accommodate.
Lovely hotel definately retirn only a couple minor gripes. Bit further away from bernabeau than it says and no tea/coffee making facilities or iron in rooms but other than that a fantastic hotel in a fantastic city
Before I go deep inside the topic, I hope you have a car or enough money for a cab because this location is really far from the metro station. It is close to the Airport though so if it is for a short stay or your family or friends live around it is really convenient otherwise avoid this choice. Location wise my lazy side was not impressed at all because it was 15 min walk to the station like a workout if you're late then wear your workout clothes you will need them! The comfort of the room was not bad at all, I loved the bathroom because I had a contemporary decor quite cute with extra towels. I had access to the Gym area and the sauna/Steam Room/Jacuzzi area. Steam room was blah, the Jacuzzi saved the day. Breakfast some of it was quite nice like the fresh juices and fruits. Overall it was a ok experience.
