Good building but poorly equipped for short-term holiday makers

The property was as described, recently up graded to a high standard and conveniently located It was not, however, convenient for short term holiday makers. There were no instruction about how to use any of the equipment including the safe. There was no starter pack not even salt and pepper , soap or shampoo or anything to help us settle in We paid 50 euro to be let in and to be given instruction as to how to use the very complex door opening system. We were given no other useful information not even where the nearest grocery store was.

This apartment is amazing, and within minutes of major museums and the botanical garden! And restaurants/bars?? You can roll out of bed and right into bed he venir of your choice! Public parking a 3 Minute walk away too!

Neighborhood is awesome. Apartment is very good.

Easily the best thing about this apartment is the Atocha/Barrio de las Letras neighborhood. The building's front door is on the busy Calle de Atocha and is walkable to everywhere - train station, museums, parks and plazas. Pedestrian lanes next to and behind the building are full of little markets, restaurants and open air plazas. All we had to do to eat well is stroll a little ways down these meandering streets. We had everything we needed in the super clean apartment. The check in process was seamless and response to our WhatsApp messages was very quick. The apartment felt a little sterile and impersonal since no one ever lives there even part time, but that wasn't an issue for us. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed is saggy. My husband had to sleep on the couch after the first night. Before our arrival I asked whether the bed had been replaced after Madflats replied to these customer complaints that they would fix the problem. The reply was "the bed is in perfect condition, both in the room and on the sofa." It's probably fine for one person, but for couples it sags.

This is a lovely, small apartment that is fully equipped for comfort. It's exceptionally clean, stylishly designed. Neighborhood is perfect for museums, restaurants and people watching. The bedroom is in the back so it's quiet. We loved it so much, we booked it again.

Fantastic Location in a Fantastic City

This property is very modern (the washer/dryer is smarter than I am), sleek, and comfortable. Because of COVID, I’m sure many things - like availability of personal toiletries - is affected. Be prepared and bring your own. Right between Plaza Mayor and the Prado, this property affords easy walks to both, as well as the Gran Via. Loads of bars and restaurants await. We would stay here again.
