Anaco Hotel

I was in Madrid four days, and stayed in Anaco hotel. The best thing is that the hotel is located so close to the all different places in the city center, for instance a five minute walk to the Gran via or Sol metro station. You need a just about half an hour walk to the Prado museum, or Retiro park. So, location is really excellent. The hotel is not so attractive if you are looking the outside the building, but it is not so important since the location is the best thing. Even so, I had the meeting at the Veterinary faculty, and found an excellent bus connection number 133 directly to the meeting place, just 20 minute drive. The single room was small but clean, the air condition was constantly, automatically switch on.

Nice hotel with contemporary fixtures right in downtown Madrid. Everything worked in the room. Within reach of many attractions. Breakfast was cheap next door whether you buy with the room or pay on your own.

This hotel was booked for us through American Airlines. It looks good on the hotel web site and the lobby is not bad looking. However, our room left a lot to be desired. We arrived in 80 degree weather and their air conditioning did not work. The floor was really dirty and I was afraid to unpack. The bathroom was clean and the bed linens seemed clean but that overall feeling of not being clean was uncomfortable. We had a balcony that had bird poop all over it and there was no furniture on the balcony as shown on the hotel's web site. We stayed one night and moved to another hotel just down the street which was much nicer.

We were expecting small and quirky but it was just cheap, no frills. Rooms very very basic , great for a stag do but not for us. I think the people in the room across the corridor were having party. More of a hostel than a hotel. Very close to Gran Via and the Red Light area(?). Not for us, so we found something else more suitable for us. The photo of the reception area was accurate but led us to expect better rooms and facilities.

This is a 3 star Hotel located 50 mts to Gran Via, 2 blocks away from Puerta del Sol...PERFECT! It doesn't have a in room service, actualy it doesn't have an insite restaurante, and there is no coffee maker available but the location is just the best if you are alone and want to enjoy Madrid's night atmosphere. Blocks away from Tirso & Plaza Mayor.... Do not expect luxury, focus on the location!!!!

First off all: the Hotel is placed very close to Puerta el sol and Grand Via..the location it s very good(5 stars). the outlook of the hotel it s not so good...the reception also..but the rooms were nice and clean the wifi is working in the reception(very good) and also in the rooms(poor connection..but ok) the only thing that was terrible it s the s a restaurant near the hotel..very close..but they don t give you nothing...the breakfast it s a tea or a coffe...and a croissant or a toast with butter and strawberry jam..that s dont book this hotel with s a waste of money!

Hotel has, as it is writen good location. It is in the center and you can go on foot where ever you want. Rooms are clean and bathroom are ok. Wifi is good in the room there is no mini bar so there is no fridge. In the hotel you dont have breakfast but you will find lot of bars around and fast food restaurants. All in all average 3 star hotel with good price.

I stayed at the hotel for one night because it offers good bang for your buck compared to others around the Gran Via. The location is not too bad and the staff is very friendly. The only issue I encountered; the AC wasn't working.

In the heart of Madrid! We had the air conditioner and TV in our room. The room was clean and the towels were replaced each day. We had a hair dryer in the toilet. Value for money, considering the location. But be aware that the breakfast is very very limited! Ask for a room on the sixth floor with terrace! It is perfect!

We stayed in hotel Anaco by the end of August 2016. First, the location is the best, just few minutes to Sol station and few seconds from Gran Via, easy to find. The receptionists were kind. We got room nr. 601 (we would like to thank the lady on the reception :) ), which is on the last floor and has terrace! The room was clean, not too spacious but the bathroom was huge, included hairdryer and basic toiletries. Air-condition was working fine (especially important in August in Madrid!), the bed was on a smaller side, only one cover on the bed (bad if your partner tends to steal it during the night). WiFi in the room was good. Room has flat TV and safe. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We booked the room with breakfast included and I am not sure is it worth it. So, you get a piece of paper as a voucher for a breakfast which is taking place in the restaurant next to the hotel (Restaurant Abrasador). For breakfast you can choose between toast/croissant, tomato spread/butter+jam, coffee/tea and you get a small glass of orange juice. We payed altogether 220 euros for 4 nights, which is ok taking into consideration the amazing location! I would highly recommend the restaurant which is near hotel (Restaurante Puerto Rico), perfect for lunch, quite cheap and tasty. You can get main course for around 4-5 euros, super if you are a budget traveller. PROS: location, location, location, room with terrace CONS: breakfast
