When I checked in the water to the hotel was turned off after working all day and driving 5 hours I couldn’t shower. We had a family gathering for a birthday which they’d messed up the reservation and had put us all on different floors and rented out the president suite we had requested. I finally got to take a bath the next night but water wouldn’t get hot then the next morning I see moldy water coming from the overflow drain in allergic to mold so had to take another cold shower to rinse off to be safe. Room wasn’t what I expected or worth the price.

Staying at The Seelbach Hotel was a wonderful experience! From the moment of walking in the lobby, it instantly felt like home! Will was working the front desk, and kindly greeted and checked me into my room. He is everything you want when it comes to customer service! He was informative when I asked where would be a good restaurant to grab dinner and recommended several options in the area. When we walked into the room, we were pleased with how comfortable the beds were and the amount of space that was offered. The bathroom was classy and provided a nice hot shower. The hotel provides a piece of history so if you do stay here, make sure to explore around! They leave the Rathskeller open downstairs when there isn’t an event going on to provide an opportunity to go back in time! The architecture is extraordinary! There are several artifacts throughout the hotel sharing its rich history! The other factor is the amazing location! You are within walking distance of the Mercury Ballroom, and 4th Street Live! There is parking in the garage or you can also self park in the lot next door. Spacious room in a quiet place in the hotel. The property is a little dated, but if you prefer history, friendly people and an exception bar, then this is a great property.

Great location for our Bourbon Trail trip. Beautiful ornate surroundings! Room was OK. Safe in closet was broken and we told staff (Willie) at desk. Was not replaced or fixed. Bathroom floor was sticky as our shoes stuck slightly upon entering. No fridge, thank God we brought a cooler for leftovers! Nothing to comment on the ordinary breakfast. Bar offered good cocktails and inviting atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful.
