The staff was polite and I had an easy check-in. I thought our stay was nice at first. We came to town for a funeral and stayed for one night with our two young children. It is in a rough part of town, very close to the university. but it appeared to be clean and safe. The hotel does have a bit of a old cigarette smoke smell to it but it is faint and not too terrible. The room was nice looking and the beds were comfortable but my husband did find a live cockroach in our room in the morning. Our window (which had a poor view) was cracked and needed repair. We did have a kitchenette but with no utensils or plates (but we were staying one night so I didn't need). We did get a free upgrade with a hot jet tub. It was huge and fit our entire family. The pool is indoors but the water and pool area was cold in February and they also ran out of towels downstairs. I didn't view the gym, but the lobby was nice and had a computer for guests (I didn't use). The breakfast area was nice looking but I thought the hot food was awful. They do have cereal, rolls, and oatmeal. I would only recommend staying for a one night stay.

AC /heater unit was extremely noisy and there was a rat in it making so much noise. I was very tired and had no ever to change rooms , so I put some ear plugs and slept . The units need upgrading . It’s not peaceful at all .

I arrived at your hotel late and when I pulled up I find several different sets of people Lawn chairs outside in drive up canapy drinking and had radios blaring and a big party going on. To a point my wife was scared to get out of car. I own a company my self and I'm aware things happen but this was a very unprofessional site and was very disappointed. Second the room was very hot and not clean. I have stayed at a lot hotels that carry your name and understand everyone is different but I think someone needs to take time to check on this location. Thanks

Nice hotel for the money. Close to Down town only a $8 cab ride. Our room was big, and comfy for 4 people. The room was also very clean also.

Good value. Not flashy but comfortable. Would stay again.

A couple of friends and I met in Louisville this past weekend and enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and I have no complaints about it. The location was not the best but I didn't feel unsafe. I would probably stay here again.

I stay here a lot because normally its a good value. This time not so much. The price was much higher, the pillows should have been thrown away 10 years ago and the juice was watered down. I will try it again but this better not be the new trend

Overall, yea it will do in a pinch, I'm sure that I could find better for a few dollars more. But it is convenient to many attractions and the University so that makes it a little better. The desk staff needs a attitude change, the morning staff were nice and the breakfast worked out OK.

Staff was nice; didn't have any problems checking in and out; needed to stay some extra days; they made it easy for us and kept us in the same room;

For the price, a pretty good deal. Common areas are older and dated. The room was pretty large (mine was handicap accessible though, so may be larger than average room). Area surrounding is industrial. I chose it due to proximity to my business site, would not chose it otherwise.

This hotel was close to the University and not much else. I had to walk almost a mile to find something to eat and that was a McDonalds. The room itself was large and the jacuzzi tub was a nice addition to a standard room. The breakfast was continental, nice but didn't include any hot items. All in all it was a good value for a one day business trip.

Good location near university and airport. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and A/C functioned well. Microwave and fridge were nice ammenities. This is not the Four Seasons, but a very good value. I usually stay here in Louisville.

I stayed here from July 1, 2012 to July 5, 2012. My experience was a pleasant one, although I agree with another reviewer who complained about the stale smell of cigarette smoke.

My husband and his co worker were very impress and said that I did a good job in booking this hotel. Very convenient to location that he had to travel to daily.

I had requested a non-smoking room but by the time I got there after numerous flight delays and cancellations, there were no other rooms. I was to arrive a Wednesday evening but did not make it there until Thursday, thankfully I had my office call to notify them of my wonderful delays & then cancellations, the hotel staff said good thing you called, as we were going to re-book the room....I had already pre-paid through Sunday morning....would I stay here again...NOOOOOO!!!! It is located in a very bad part of town....drug deals going down....DON'T walk to the drug store, I did & the clerk told me not to do that again!! As I was in the Getto...his words not mine

Excellent. Staff was responsive and available. Porvided information, maps and driving directions very gracefully.

I brought my son to Churchill Downs from St. Louis for a father/son getaway. The location of the hotel was very convenient in relation to the track and to the highway. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was adequate, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was that the pool was almost too cold to enjoy.

The hotel had a funny smell throughout and a musky smell in the bathroom. The furniture was old and the bathrooms needed some major updating. The walls are very thin as well as the ceiling, you could hear every step above the room. We were on the 1st floor. I guess you get what you pay for. We will not be staying at a Quality Inn again.

is a great value for the money. I'm there often.

it was great! the only thing was the pool closed at 9 and we couldn't go swiming... other than that all was great the rooms were very clean my nephew was in awe he said "this must have cost a lot of money i said no it was just right and i would stay there again..
