We did not get to stay here over night but we did get to enjoy the beach area for a day. We stayed in town for our 6 day stay but still wanted a nice beach area to sit at for a day with good accommodation. A few day prior to heading here.. We stopped by the marina.. Just to see if there were any fish brought in.. Pretty slow..So we went right by El Ganzo ..My daughter said "that place looks like it would be fun"...at that time, I did not realize we would be hanging out there :) I found out about being able to use the beach area by someone on TA (Thank-you Rocky G) I called the hotel that morning just to make sure and to make sure they would have availability for us. And they did. Pulled up to the hotel and they have valet parking, nice. The young guys that helped us with this was a sweet person, wish I would have caught his name. I told him what we were doing and he asked how old my daughter was I told him 15. He told us that we can't use the pool because it is an adult only hotel :( but we could use the beach. But what was super wonderful...he took us for a tour of the pool area this was OK'ed by his boss. OMG what a beautiful setting! The view from here was amazing. All of a sudden I was wishing my DD would be 18. She thinks this is where she wants to stay now when she does turns 18 :) Headed back down stairs and there is a door opened on the floor that leads down to a recording studio ..sweet !! The grounds are beautiful; it looks like they grow some of their own product for preparing meals Anyway, I think we paid about $1000 pesos for the 2 of us. We jumped on to one of their pontoon boats and headed over to their beach area. Pretty much had pic of lounges with umbrellas (maybe 15 or so of these) it was still quiet. They brought towel down and placed them on our loungers. Was already quite warm we ordered a few waters and seltzers. We were in the water out of the water most of the day to cool down. The beach had nice sand and swimming area. We could watch the boat come and got out of the fishing marina. A strip of land divided (maybe a breaker) the beach and the fishing area. Was very pretty lined with green grass, palm trees and hammocks. You could look back at the hotel Soon after we arrived we ordered a fruit plate. Not sure if it was on the menu, but I think they ended up getting the product from the hotel restaurant and bring it back over to the beach. Very nice!! Later on in the day we went by the bar area which had a nice seating area and was shaded. DD ordered a burger and fries and I just had fries with a coconut mojito. We drank so many bottles of water and seltzer we weren’t very hungry. We were one of the last one to leave the beach and thoroughly enjoy our down time. When we paid the $1000 pesos at the front desk, it was not just to use the beach , this money went towards our drinks and food. This was a win win for us Nice restrooms and I believe they had showers in them!?! They for sure had outdoor showers. Back on to the pontoon and headed back to our hotel for a swim in the pool. Stayed for about 6 or 7 hours.
Nice clean & comfortable room with a great water view! They have boats that take you to their various restaurants & beach. The service was great & everyone was very helpful & nice! The hotel was located in a quiet & nice area.
We found this place through recommendation. The beach is a wonderful place, it has variety of food and it has good service. At the pool, there are very few options for eating and the service is terrible. A minus is lack of speaking good basic english among employees (or at least among some of them). Also, a speciffic not-so-good memory about the visit was an employee kind of begging for a bigger tip (even If there was a +10% left beside the bill) Althrough, the hotel has a very unique concept and a spectacular view 😊
Found this spot while walking on the bike path in San Jose del Cabo Marina. A local Gringo highly recommended we stay. Great beach that you can actually swim and relax in the ocean. Staff provided great service, however, their English was about as good as my Spanish - poor. We struggled to communicate. Coconut mojito and El Ganzo ceviche are excellent. We are definitely coming back.
The Hotel offers a private beach that is supported by some of the most hard-working, courteous staff. Our room was always spotless and the cleaning staff was always ready to offer assistance when necessary. Hotel El Ganzo is located in Puerto de Cabos, a peaceful and relaxing facility.
This was my second stay at the Hotel El Ganzo and it continues to be one of my favorite hotels anywhere. Great service (Benjamin at check-in, Alejandro upstairs are even better than great). Benjamin remembered me from my last visit and gave me a very warm welcome. The rooms are very nice with first class everything. The art around the Hotel is fun to look at. Very creative and great food and drink menus Beach club was really nice and between Beach Club and the Upstairs pool, a lot to do. Highly recommended. I fish a lot and this hotel is within yards of my typical boat I charter.
Memorable experience, concierge and beach club staff are the very best. Edmundo needs to be in charge of customer service training. He took care of all our needs and made us feel as if we're were the most important guests in the hotel. Irvin follows in the same foot steps by caring and watching for all or needs. We love this place based on our experience with the staff and location. Thank you
Spent six nights at this clean hotel with lots of personality and artistic focus. Excellent food at the restaurant located off the lobby, with relaxing patio seating and beautiful views of the marina, harbor, and sea beyond. Amazing service; everyone we met was kind & helpful. They have a water taxi that takes you across the water to a nice sandy beach; fourth-floor rooftop infinity pool & hot tub with lots of comfortable sitting areas in the sun and shade; first floor secluded pool surrounded by gardens. This hotel is not in town so you either need a rental car or take lots of taxis to get around, but if you're looking to get away from the tourist zones, this spot is perfect.
Hotel El Ganzo is a beautifully unique boutique hotel. The art, rooms, rooftop, amenities are all incredible. The staff is sweet & helpful (although not all speak english). Recommend for any/all adults looking for a relaxing, fun getaway. Going back next month!
i'm a socialist so naturally the che thing would be annoying but who cares, the guy was kinda an a-hole anyway. the sushi bar on the roof was extremely good, all the people there were extremely nice and helpful and spoke excellent english. the amenities were great and if i were paying for the room instead of getting brought there for family issues i would definitely consider it to be a luxury retreat. el-ganzo is certainly something you should enjoy before the mexican people get tired of us ruining their country and run us gringos out for good. 10/10
