Good location near ocean, clean, friendly. Plain, but comfortable.

No A/C resulted in a difficult nights sleep as having windows open made it very noisy

Stayed here when looking at colleges. It can be noisy at night but it was a decent price and within walking distance to a lot of things.

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice staff. Easy to walk to everything I needed.

This hotel is in a great location, less than a mile from the beach and pier. We rented bikes and explored Santa Monica and Venice all day. Then we took the bus out to the bars at night. The staff was very friendly during the whole stay. The free WiFi worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was updated. However, the cabinet under the sink was dirty and there was no AC in the room. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.

It isn't a four star by any stretch of the imagination. But our room was clean and the staff was nice. The location was great. An easy walk to the beach. There was no air conditioning, so if it is hot out and you leave the windows open you get traffic noise. But there is a ceiling fan. We would go back. (But probably not in the hot part of summer.)

It's is clearly not a 5star hotel, but I really do believe you get what you pay for. Great location, with essentials around the corner, well served by public transportation. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There's a mini fridge so you can store drinks and snacks. The only downside for me was not having AC, but only because I stayed on a weekend hit by a heat wave. As far as a basic, comfortable place to rest during your stay, I was pleasantly surprised.

Convenient and good value. Close to pier and shopping.

When I booked this motel, it had 3 stars on this site. I usually don't stay at motels, but it was $175/night and had 3 stars, how bad could it be? Way worse than any other fleabag motel that I have ever seen across the country. After checking in at 1am after a long flight, he room was visibly dirty. The blanket on the bed had white stains on it. The walls were all scuffed and had cracks. There was a large misplaced table/desk blocking the closet. The bathroom was dirty w/ a dead bug on the floor. The room was also very hot w/ no AC so we had to leave the window open. There were some suspicious characters loitering in the parking lot all night talking outside our room. We checked in at 1am and checked out at 6am, even though we had already paid for 2 nights. Of this place had a big sign at the check in window that said "NO REFUNDS." I'm sure people wanting their money back is a regular occurrence. I'm glad to see this place has been down graded to 1 star, but I don't think it even deserves that. I wouldn't pay $30 to stay in this dump, but I am very bitter that I paid almost $400 for 5 hours and can't get my money back. I think all travel sites should remove this place from their site and I think the owners should be ashamed of themselves to charge people so much to stay in such sub standard conditions. They should really consider selling this place to someone who actually knows what even the most basic motel should be like.

the room was small, however clean. Has a small refrigerator that actually works and kept my sodas cold! The bathtub needs to be resurface or a good scrub. The bed was clean and comfy. The room has a fan and fair lighting. Parking was VERY narrow even for a compact car, however it fit my SUV. The motel is a good 15 mins walk to the beach and 2-3 miles from the bars. The price is high for a motel , but location was within 5 miles to everything. Easy to catch a cab and they just pull right in the front. Towels are thin, but doable for a short stay. The place does NOT have an ice machine. Staffs were friendly and professional. I would stay here again if the price were lower. Weekend rates varied from $110-$140. The double bed can fit two people per bed ( There's no room to crash on the floor).

Part of the reason I booked this hotel was based on pictures in hotel description. This hotel is about a 10minute drive from the beach. The pictures of the views are very deceiving - there is NO view at all. Hotel is located off a busy street. Kind of pricey for what you get which is very little. No ice machine. Very small tv with only a handful of channels. Bathroom was very clean. No A/C. Would only book again if it was half the price of what we paid this time.

I just wanted budget accomodation, that was reasonably close to everything?located next to the hotel are some nice places to eat.the staff were very friendly and the reception is open 24 hours a day.the hotel is located on a Main Street with busy traffic, but the rooms are fully sound proof.Taxi fare to the Santa Monica pier was around $8.00. Overall the price and location served me well.yes I would recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay for if you are running the LA marathon!

This place is small but works. It is one mile away from the shuttles for the LA Marathon and one mile away from the finish line of the LA Marathon!!! I will definitely stay here again!!!

This is a 25 dollar motel at best! Don't waste your money. This motel is one step above sleeping in a nearby park. Very bad!

Except for the price. Its close but not close enough to the beach, but you can take the bus.

As soon as we walked into the room it smelled like something I can not describe. The walls were all dirty, there was downtown body hair on the bed, the shower barely worked, the carpets were dirty and I can keep on going. Worst experience we ever had!

FOR THE PRICE IT WAS GREAT. WE DROVE FROM PHX, AZ. 7 HOURS GOT AT HOTEL APPROX. MIDNIGHT INFACT WE CALLED AND THE CLERK TALKED US TO HOTEL CHECKED RIGHT IN. WOKE UP SATURDAY AND CLERK TOLD US HOW TO WALK TO BEACH 7 BLOCKS AWAY. ROOM CLEAN, STAFF GREAT I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY FANCY EXPENSIS. SPENT MONEY AT VEICE BEACH. MY FIRST TIME SEAING THE OCEAN LOVED IT. LAURIE
