So, the hotel is wonderful for the price. Walking distance to Union station, olvera street and China town. Lots of restaurants within walking distance as well. The room was clean, has all the amenities you need and most of the staff was nice. But my TV remote didn't work, and the TV has no buttons to change channels. I called to the front desk and was told, "yeah, sometimes it's like that" I asked for a new remote but they didn't have one. The Wi-Fi also did not work, the frond desk guy said the same thing, "sometimes it'd like that". I'm lucky I have mobile service on my devices, but that was really annoying. The breakfast was pretty good and over all I would probably stay there again, just beware: you get what you get!

Taxi driver said when we arrived at the address: "You're at a restaurant; I don't see the hotel." Since this was in the evening, I felt somewhat anxious because I could not see the hotel. There was a small sign however so I knew the hotel was here somewhere but it wasn't easy to locate the entrance.

It was a good hotel for people who spend more time outside. The room is spacious and good for travellers. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is quite good. Good food for breakfast! A cup of coffee and hot waffles!

All was conveinant with the location, check-in and helpful staffing at the desk. Room was clean and met expectations. The fun theme was a nice change from the standard decor. Thanks Staff at BW Dragon Gate Inn!

The staff was amazing the location was great and the room s Were very comfortable.

My fiancé and I went to a hockey game at the staples center and we stayed at this hotel. The staff was super friendly and even called a taxi for us for the staple center!! It is 10 minutes away from our hotel so it made it very convenient! The room was very ran and nice and the bed was very comfortable! Needless to say that we will definatly will stay here again!!!

received an upgraded room. Room was nice and clean but door and wall were not noise proof at all. The one bad thing about this hotel is that we can hear all the noises next door and outside. It was not peaceful at all.

This place was nice for the price. I liked that you needed a key to take the elevator up to the rooms. It made me feel safer. The area is not horrible like some of the other places for the price. We were here for a Clippers game at Staples and the bus stop was right out front it was only $3 and a 10 min bus ride. My only complaint is that when I showered in the morning the bathtub would not drain! It kinda grossed me out but when I told the front desk they were so apologetic and they paged some sort of maintinence to come fix it!

Good hotel. The only problem was the $10 parking fee that you had to pay.

I had to stay in Los Angeles for business on a Sunday evening. The Best Western Dragon Gate Inn is within easy walking distance from the LA Amtrak station, so I tried the hotel in spite of slight concerns about the neighborhood. The walk was fine, the neighborhood wasn't too bad, and the hotel was surprisingly good. The hallways were nothing special, but the room was very clean, had a nice little desk for work, and had modern bedspreads and decorations. All the plumbing worked well and they had plenty of clean towels. Breakfast was disappointing (you get a coupon for a little shop in the lobby that is somewhat like a convenience store), but they did have some healthy choices. On the whole, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and would definitely stay here again if I were looking for a clean place near the train station.

Comfy room, quiet... close proximity to downtown, Dodger Stadium, union station. We were able to walk and take the bus/light rail to.. Grammy Museum, LA Live, Pasadena and Dodger Stadium. The free breakfast was surprisingly good.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now, and I plan to go back. It is a good value and the staff is very cooperative and helpful. The breakfast that is part of the deal is bare bones but not unlike the breakfasts that are available at, say, Hampton Inns. I did enjoy their freshly made waffles and there freshy cooked hard boiled aggs. It is in a good location for exploring Chinatown and even Little Tokyo. The Chinese American Museum is fairly close as is Olvera Street with all of the Mexican carts. I really like this part of the city and I hope it keeps its charm.

Did not like the fact that they charged $10/night for parking. Not fair at all.

close to union station and also flyaway, breakfast was sufficient

Much beter than imagine, close to union station! Good price

The location is good not because of the depressed neighborhood it's in but because it is very close to the Metro system, the downtown sights: Walt Disney Concert Hall, Union Station, City Hall, Olvera Street, and old LA Chinatown where food is a bargain. What could improve is the breakfast situation which is less than expected but not exactly horrible. If you are picky about everything this is not the place for you to stay but for those looking for a bargain and are flexible about details it's is a good choice. It is not a place to bring lots of little children as there is no place for them to play.

If you just need a place to stay near downtown, this is a great location for the price.

Nice clean hotel. In the middle of Chinatown. Very safe feel. Must use card to get where rooms are.

I will not go back. I was surprised that this hotel was rated Best Western Plus. It does not deserve it.

The TV Picture had a lot of snow. we thought the shop's inside the BEST WESTERN PLUS Dragon Gate Inn where nice untill a loud drunk couple stopted me from sleeping. The shower door frame fell apart. Parking $ 10.00

Dear RD: I must apologize for the front desk. We have a 24 hour WIFI person that you can speak with to handle your wifi issues. Sometimes its a simple as selecting the correct WAP and that will fix the speed problem. I have spoken with that individual Front desk person and this will never happen again. I hope you give us another chance to earn your business. Regards, Best Western Plus Dragon Gate Inn

Dear Anonymous: I'm sorry you weren't able to see our signage. Not sure why. We have just installed 3 brand new signs. One on the driveway, one in front of the building and one on the roof. Not even sure what restaurant you mentioned since there isn't one on the property. Glad you were able to find us though. In the future, please just call the front desk, perhaps they can help guide you while in transit. Regards, Best Western Plus Dragon Gate Inn
