This was a short break in the city of London, we used this hotel on a previous visit, which was so convenient. The situation, on first sight, moght be a little doubtful, near an underground station and bus stops, on an ambulance and police route to hospitals etc. However once tried, NO WORRIES, it all goes quiet at night. Plus you can just walk across the road to the underground to get into London. The journey is about 30 mins. Th hotel is sparkling clean, roomy twin room, great comfortable beds, shower just spot on. The breakfast is really great, well cooked sausages, eggs and bacon if wanted. Good bread for toast, cereals, croissants and muffins, yoghourt and fruit all available. The staff are first rate, I only had one request and they sorted it immediately. All this for under £70 per night. Highly recommend this hotel and it's staff.
good price (if you join their club - for free) for the location.Parking for a price (£20) underground. Some choices of food but not really a restaurant.eakfast wads decent for this type of stay Room a good size and clean with all usual amentieies working. - tv not really functioning.
Just to want to say thank you for Ana Maria for superb customer service She been so helpful and friendly . The rooms was very clean ,warm and bed comfortable Breakfast delicious . highly recommend *****
Stayed for one night one for business. The hotel is excellently located opposite Colliers Wood Tube Station, and is surrounded by places to eat- so not far to walk should hunger set in. Check in was easy, good customer service, and I was in my room shortly afterwards. The room was small-ish but perfect for one person. TV, coffee/ tea making facilities and hairdryer were standard. Also, a safe. Usual lack of available plug-points including none by the bed is an ongoing annoyance in not just Holiday Inns, but most hotels I stay at. Bring a 2/4 gang on a long lead if you want to use a laptop and use the desktop light at the same time! Or unplug the TV in order to use the kettle. You get the idea. No iron/board, but i think that's standard for HI, and they are available on request. Other than that, bed comfy, shower hot, toiletries provided, no problems there. Wifi was free and fast, so plus points for that. Breakfast was included, and was good. The room was marked as having a city view, but this was optimistic to say the least. I was overlooked by another part of the hotel about 20 ft away, although I could see the city if I craned my neck to the left. All in all, I would stay here again, you generally get what you pay for, and this isn't bad for a budget hotel.
Checked in 24 December for 2 nights. Prior to checkin I requested the sofa bed to be set up with extra pillows. Location is great, right opposite Colliers Wood tube station, plenty of pubs, restaurants and even shopping. Checkin was easy and quick. All my requests were meet. Was asked if I need the car park @ £20 per night. I was pleased I did not at that cost! The room was a standard sized Holiday Inn Express, clean and tidy. Both beds were comfortable. TV had a good choice of channels. There was a tablet that was free to use but, did not make use of it. Did not try the bar food. Bar prices were ok for an hotel and the area. The photo’s on their website were correct and a true picture it the hotel. Our room was on the side of the hotel and very quite. The hotel is located on a very busy main road. Breakfast was very good, hot, well stocked even though it was very busy and Christmas Day. Staff very friendly and happy. Room keeping - I requested the sofa bed to be put away as it was not needed, no problem. Checkout very easy. Even though it was Christmas all without exception the staff were happy and friendly. A credit to the management and franchise holder. We will stay here again when in the area.
Great deal on winter break made the price extremely competitive for London Wouldn't recommend driving here as the main road is very busy, tube station opposite Staff friendly and helpful Room very big and comfy, despite needing heating on as very cold. Could do with lick of paint in room and s clean in shower but very.nice Issue with limited parking, plenty of space if several were not "reserved" but not used despite website stating space can't be prebooked Fantastic Indian restaurant across the road
A great nights rest in a comfortable quiet room before an early morning at St Georges Hospital...........A good price given the location and convenience, Parking on site and helpful happy staff a long delay in my review as I stayed on 30th August which is no reflection on the Holiday Inn but I've been a bit otherwise occupied.......If I need to return to the area or Hospital it would be the place I choose.
Perfectly adequate hotel to stay in. Not top quality, the cleanliness of the room left a little to be desired but the staff were very helpful, and the room offered the usual necessary amenities. Found a bit over zealous at breakfast as my plate was cleared away when I went to get an extra piece of toast! And my table was taken over by other people, but that’s it.
This time around I tried staying away from Centre, in a modern environment, with good Transport Options all over....The Hotel is quite big (150 rooms) with nice facilities, very clean, very nice Breakfast - although perhaps not to everyone's taste...Took their offer for a courtesy Shaving Kit - BAD (Shaving Cream running Off face...)...Also tried to check for some diversity in their TV Channels - only found BBC, SKY NEWS (admittedly didn't have time to check each & every channel number, suffice that a few turned up a Blank Channel..)
Average priced hotel with good amenities. Gave a three star rating as mould in the shower area and the soap dispenser kept falling off and nearly hit my foot. Good location and very close to the Tube station. Infact, it is opposite it, across the road.
