Great deal on winter break made the price extremely competitive for London Wouldn't recommend driving here as the main road is very busy, tube station opposite Staff friendly and helpful Room very big and comfy, despite needing heating on as very cold. Could do with lick of paint in room and s clean in shower but very.nice Issue with limited parking, plenty of space if several were not "reserved" but not used despite website stating space can't be prebooked Fantastic Indian restaurant across the road
A great nights rest in a comfortable quiet room before an early morning at St Georges Hospital...........A good price given the location and convenience, Parking on site and helpful happy staff a long delay in my review as I stayed on 30th August which is no reflection on the Holiday Inn but I've been a bit otherwise occupied.......If I need to return to the area or Hospital it would be the place I choose.
Perfectly adequate hotel to stay in. Not top quality, the cleanliness of the room left a little to be desired but the staff were very helpful, and the room offered the usual necessary amenities. Found a bit over zealous at breakfast as my plate was cleared away when I went to get an extra piece of toast! And my table was taken over by other people, but that’s it.
This time around I tried staying away from Centre, in a modern environment, with good Transport Options all over....The Hotel is quite big (150 rooms) with nice facilities, very clean, very nice Breakfast - although perhaps not to everyone's taste...Took their offer for a courtesy Shaving Kit - BAD (Shaving Cream running Off face...)...Also tried to check for some diversity in their TV Channels - only found BBC, SKY NEWS (admittedly didn't have time to check each & every channel number, suffice that a few turned up a Blank Channel..)
Average priced hotel with good amenities. Gave a three star rating as mould in the shower area and the soap dispenser kept falling off and nearly hit my foot. Good location and very close to the Tube station. Infact, it is opposite it, across the road.
Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. The hotel is situated on an extremely busy road. The hotel also had scaffolding outside, there was no mention of this on the web site. There was a lot of noise from various trucks reversing from early morning. The reception was fine. The room was extremely uncomfortable, the bed was a very small double with a mattress that was so soft every movement woke my partner and vice versa. It was so soft that we both fell in the middle - we are not by any means large people. The bathroom had only a very dated shower with a nasty curtain and hardly any water pressure, it felt like one of these horror movies at very poor motels in the U.S.A. The soap dispenser fell apart when I tried to use it!! The breakfast was tasteless and so was the coffee. We left the breakfast and checked out the next morning. We were supposed to stay in the hotel for 2 nights, lost the money as it was non- refundable, but we could not bear another night. Not recommended at all from any aspect.
We chose to spend a night at Holiday Inn Express in order to visit our son in Clapham. The hotel is very conveniently located just outside Colliers Wood station on the Northern line. As expected from similar budget chains, it has good sized rooms with comfortable beds. An added bonus for London is complimentary breakfast and onsite parking (£20 per night). Overall, unusually good value for money for London.
Clean, nice staff, good location for underground. Breakfast was fine, agin just what you expect from this chain. Rooms were quite small, that would be my only negative. If visiting London for any reason as a tourist, this is ideal, just far enough away from central London to be reasonably priced. Underground stop is 7 stops from Leicester Square on Nothern line.
Quiet and clean room, despite being next to a busy road. Comfortable bed, desk with TV and tea/coffee making. Good sized WC/shower room with towels and soap dispensers provided. Basic breakfast but plenty to start your day off well. Location is good for local buses and Northern Line to Central London. Staff courteous and efficient. Would use again when in the area.
Stay here for 3 nights. Choose this location because it's close to the underground (actually very close, just across the street) and with the Northern line you're in 25 minutes in London downtown. That worked very well for me. The rooms are ok and sufficient space. The bathroom is fine The beds are a bit short, so if you're 1.90+ you might have an issue. The staff is great and helpful. This is an Express hotel, so don't expect a restaurant for dinner. Some food is served, but quality is average at best. Obviously, this hotel doesn't have a kitchen to serve food in a professional manner. The choice of beer is very limited. Very annoying that the wifi in the rooms is so slow that it can be considered not working. Even for simple e-mail tasks, you need to go to the ground floor in the lobby. There speed is ok, though not high speed. When asking the staff about the wifi, it seems to be a known problem. I was referred to the lobby area. I expected more from a Holiday Inn hotel, which position themselves for business travelers. Good wifi signal in all rooms should be a given, in my opinion.
