Even though it was just me, I really enjoyed having the space to spread out. The evening social is alright, beer and snacks are always nice. Breakfast - grits on thursdays are not bad. I wish the plates were real ones, and not the plastic ones. Staff is very friendly, everyone from the restaurant to front desk to housekeeping is really polite and friendly, which was very good. Would return.
The Marriott Residence Inn on Schakelford Rd. has been our home away from home for 4 days every six months for the past several years. From the pristine results of the housekeeping team to the maintenance worker who helped us with luggage (my lifting is restricted) to the morning food server and Marissa, the evening food service associate, to Franz, desk manager when we registered; the people who operate this inn are exemplary. Simply stated: they care, they are smart, they are considerate, they are nice. The interior and exterior of the entire property is neat as a pin. The parking lot is sealed, a reflection of preventive maintenance investment that is prevalent throughout. The paint is sharp and fresh-looking. Carpeting is like new. Our two-bedroom suite with a separating kitchen is more like a vacation condo than a hotel room. We really like "neat and clean". This is it. We like convenient, safe and even "cozy". Our daily business when here is an easy 8 miles away. The Inn is located in a very upscale, but reasonably priced neighborhood with many services and amenities. The property is carved into a hillside with three buildings including the office-lounge-computer-center-food-service area and workout room. The central building is designed much like a fine residence. The overall setting offers a certain coziness due to layout, site selection, extremely neat landscaping, curbing, muted fencing and limited access to and from the roadway. I walked to the pool today passing an open door to the laundry. My timing was good. Maybe I shouldn't have seen the work literally in progress. But, it allowed me to confirm my positive sense of the almost surgically clean environment. The stacks of clean white linens and towels were impressive on sight and the sight was secondary only to the fresh scent of true cleanliness. We will be back and very likely return many more times.
I have stayed here for weeks at a time for business. Every time I return its like coming home! Johnnie with a great smile and sincere care to Franz going out of his way to help. The Residence Inn is the place to stay when visiting Little rock
Friendly people , very helpful. CAROLYN keeps a top notch food area!! She greets everyone with a beautiful smile and is constantly checking to make sure all is perfect for everyone! Good variety of food with many healthy choices.
Stayed three nights. Felt like a safe place, despite being in Little Rock. My room was extremely nice. My only complaints would be that the breakfast was pretty bad, but you get what you pay for I guess. Also the layout of the two buildings and parking lot is not the best. Overall was a good experience though
Our son recently had one of those birthday milestones and a group of our family and friends gathered here to celebrate. I really cannot speak highly enough of the Residence Inn for this purpose. First, two bedroom suites, each room with its own en suite. There are all sorts of suite hotels these days, but this provides two couples with true privacy in a suite. There is a complete kitchen with a full-size frig, a stove, dishes, dishwasher! Table for 4. A group can easily gather in the sitting room--couch, easy chair, 4 kitchen chairs, and a padded hassock. By the way, you can get the hotel to pick up groceries for you! We also had an ADA suite--one room had an ADA compliant bathroom and the bedroom had ample space to maneuver. I wish the bed had been a bit lower, but the sink had space to roll up under it and the shower was excellent. It is difficult to find the multi-bedroom suites with an ADA room (I have looked!) so this one is very good. Warning: it did not show up on the website, so you may want to call. We would not have had it except a member of our party asked. There is also very good ADA parking. The best part, however, was how accommodating the hotel was for our party. We had the full use of their breakfast area at no charge. We just had to clean up. The desk clerk got ice for us and even turned on the juice dispenser which was great for my grandson. All we had to do was clean up after (we could have also used their really nice picnic and grill area outside but it was too warm for that). There is an excellent outdoor pool and a sport court with basketball. Breakfast was decent the next morning--nothing too special, but they had fresh spring greens out and salsa with the eggs and cut up fresh fruit--grapefruit and orange sections. There was also unflavored Greek yogurt as well as the usual fruit and sugared varieties. Coffee was out 24/7 with real half and half! And the service was excellent!!!!! Very friendly, very helpful. You can find cheaper places to stay in Little Rock, but when you think that two couples can share the cost, it becomes very economical--and for a family traveling would be a very nice choice. And for a gathering, you cannot beat it. Oh, and the rooms were clean as a whistle, the linens were very good. If I could change anything, I would add ceiling fans as the vents for the air are sort of strange, but it was not unbearable. And if you want ice, turn on the ice maker as soon as you go in the room. They empty the ice maker and turn it off when each guest leaves, which is nice--you have clean ice, but if you don't turn it on when you get in the room, you may be missing ice when you want it. They also have a manger gathering with food each night during the week (not on weekends, but that is why we could use the breakfast area!)
Rooms are great, spacious and clean, excellent location. Customer service of all employees at this hotel is 5 stars. Front desk and housekeeping service is A+. The lady that works at the afternoon beer and wine went above and beyond making sure my group was being taken care of. Now, the superstar is Ms Johnnie, at breakfast, you won't find a friendlier lady at any hotel, excelente service, she makes complimentary hotel breakfast shine. Definitely will return when back in Little Rock.
rooms are big and clean. It was a very nice stay. Workout area is a little small and temperature was too high for a workout area (90 degrees) Breakfast is good and super nice employee (Johnnie) She has a friendly word for everybody - perfect start into your day! Thank You, Johnnie!
We had to stay here because some repairs were being done to our house. We thought we would hate staying in a hotel for that long, but the staff here was amazing! Franz at the front desk was super nice. Johnnie, who made breakfast each morning, was ALWAYS so sweet and made sure that we were sufficiently stuffed with an awesome breakfast spread. Angie, our main housekeeper, was a doll to keep our rooms neat and cleaned. We were definitely spoiled after staying there. I highly recommend especially when Johnnie is making breakfast and Angie is the housekeeper! The lady that made snacks at dinner Mondays - Wednesdays was super friendly as well. Thank you all for making our stay wonderful!
Very comfortable, clean, and quiet room was much appreciated after a hard day of travel. Was able to get an excellent night of rest in order to recharge. Staff was very friendly to include Johnnie who was providing the free breakfast. Very good location being a block away from the freeway, gas station, and Dunkin Donuts (morning coffee). Some of the common areas (elevator, hallways) are showing their age with wear and tear, so hopefully the owners will re-invest; however, our room furnishings and appliances looked up-to-date and well maintained.
