I would give this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the Wi-Fi. Poor connection at all times in and out. The place looks as though it has been recently painted and updated. It has many restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are large with all the necessary amenities, fridge, microwave etc.
We stayed two nights and very must enjoyed our stay. This location is quiet. It is "out of the way but easily accessible. We had a problem with a table lamp, but it was quickly corrected. The front desk staff was helpful but not particularly friendly.
The bed was clean but my bath room was pretty bad. door had a large gap under it. When I went to my truck, a man approached me and asked me to give him some money. I gave him a few bucks and walked on to my truck. Grabbed my las bag and as I was walking back, same guy asked me for money again and when I told him I had already given him some money he said "you got a little more" And when I said no he cussed me out. Would not bring my family here
The rooms were updated, but the hallway smelled like cigarettes and sadness. A guy stuck his head out from his door after i walked out of my room rambling something incoherent. I know a tweeker when i see one. He was spun out of his head. I told the clerk and she seemed less than surprised. Locals are sneaking in and out of the pool and backdoor. To be fair they have installed lots of led lighting in they parking lot. Still not worth the 25$ i saved. Next time I'll Spend more and stay in a place where i am not worried about being robbed. We stopped in on a whim to break up a 10 hour drive.
This was my first visit here and I doubt I'll be back. Other than my room, the place was OK; The lobby appeared to have been redecorated recently. The highlight of my stay was the receptionist, Katherine. She was both professional and friendly; I felt very welcomed. Later that evening she helped me get my laptop connected to the internet. That was a huge relief for me, as staying two days without internet access would have been a nightmare. The bad news was my room. The refrigerator didn't work very well (not cold enough) and rocked seriously every time I opened the door. The desk wasn't much better and the desk chair should have been thrown out a long time ago. There was a large hole in the carpet (triangular shaped; perhaps an iron?). Both the sofa and chair were well worn, in fact all the furniture was. Even some of the bath towels had thread worn spots in them. The good news is, the bathroom was clean and spacious and everything worked. I was a little suspicious about the bed, but slept like a baby despite my sleeping problems. The location suited me; it was close to the interstate, but not close enough to hear it. Fast food restaurants can be walked to and other restaurants are no more than a five or ten minute drive. I hope this helps. Mark A.
It was a great experience starting when we entered the front door and were welcomed by a very friendly staff member Katherine she made us feel @home immidietly. The parking lot is well lit,the lobby very clean as was our room 105 located next to the Breakfast lounge. We will be back in texas in October and looking forward to spend another Night with Katherine and the rest of the staff.Klaus&Norma Glueck
Nice quit hotel close to interstate 30. They lady at the front desk named Katherine was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice an very clean. We had the room beside the elevator but you wouldn't have known it, it was very quit. Great room for the price.
This is our 2nd time in a year we have stayed here. Cedric checked us in a he is Mr Personality Plus. After a 10 hr drive his humor was welcome. I wanted to eat supper outside by the pool, which wasn't opened, but Cedric took the time to get me a chair for the sidewalk to sit outside. Room as always was neat and clean. We slept good. Breakfast was nice and so was Ms Landry who checked us out. She is a lovely lady. This hotel is just a nice place to stay
Did not feel safe Always folks loitering around back entrance often asking to be in Not in the best part of town beware We actually left earlier than planned The staff was also not that responsive to our safety concerns
On my way back to Texas from Ohio, I stopped at this property. For an overnight stopover, it was great! Traveling with dogs, I appreciate that this updated and clean property allows a dog for free - huge perk! The property is well maintained, clean, and everything was in working order. I opted for a room with an in-room Jacuzzi after 16+ hours in the car and it was a great thing - it worked perfectly and was the perfect way to relax after a long drive. In the morning, there was a very hearty free breakfast that included eggs, biscuits, sausage, etc. I'd highly recommend this property!!
