The hotel and staff were wonderful! The hotel was clean, had a wonderful breakfast buffet, and is centrally located to public transportation. There was lots to see and do. I would definitely go back to this hotel again. Very happy with our stay!

The location is central to Lisbon and is very modern and upscale inside. The lobby is impressively large and has a nice bar/dining area on one side where they feature live music in the evenings and there is a nice Italian restaurant on the other. There is both an indoor pool and a rooftop outdoor pool and bar area. The rooms are large and spacious and well outfitted. The bed is very comfortable. The mirror walls are also televisions, which is very neat! The switches controlling the lighting are not labelled and are confusing at times. Towels are refreshed but face clothes and hand towels sometimes don’t seem to be refreshed after being used. The morning breakfast is incredible! Drink the orange juice even if you don’t usually like juice. You will love it! The selection and quality of the breakfast that is offered is over the top and will suit everyone’s tastes and preferences!

Everything looked just like the pictures. Sometimes in comparison to US a 5 star hotel can fall short. But the Epic Sana Marques met every expectation. I really liked the location. It was really clean and good food. Nice bars.

Easily the top 3 worst experiences I have ever had. I’ve travelled to 35+ countries over 20+ years. It all started when I was bait-and-switched the rooms. I was supposed to get a 2 bedroom unit for me and my family. They gave us connecting rooms. Not the same thing. I expected to have a living room like a suite which is what I was told I would have. I went to reception and asked to be let out of the room - they said yes I just needed to contact Expedia. Expedia said yes and put it in writing. The hotel stopped responding. 6 attempts at resolution. Multiple phone calls. No call backs. No replies. It was an awful experience. The hotel should not be 4 or 5 star. It sort of feels run down. The rooms - like a big closet. The bathrooms felt like a college dorm. We went to the roof for the “lounge” and it was like 3 stools by a half stocked bar. If you are ok spending the money, do not go to Sana - you will feel ripped off and majorly disappointed. This is where the hotel may put a token reply but again, 6 attempts and no calls backs or replies. I even waited in the lobby the first time as they had to call “the office” for the Expedia email. After 15 minutes I left and said please call me with updates. Nothing. Terrible experience.

Gorgeous hotel. Excellent customer service. Gorgeous food, fabulous cocktails, lovely pool! Great modern rooms! Thank you! My only quibble is some guests where smoking in the pool (!!) and in the pool area - which was a bit gross for non smoking guests!! Recommend you have a separate smoking area.

5-night stay Good: The staff were really helpful and nice; the spa and gym were well-equipped; and the bedding was perfect. The metro is very close, and getting around in a taxi or ride share was easy and very affordable. The Epic bar lobby serves amazing cocktails, well-executed, and nice live music every night. Minus: I did not receive my VIP voucher at check-in. The buffet breakfast is quite repetitive; it's well spread, but in fact, not that extensive. The "fresh orange" is not that fresh; it's more likely 100% orange juice in a bottle, like Tropicana. (The orange juice from the coffee shop next door is way better.) After three mornings in a row of asking for poached eggs, and every time they were not good (too cooked, not cooked enough, watery), it is clear that the method of poaching is not something the kitchen knows how to do. The same goes for the iced latte. For a hotel that emphasizes sustainability ( by not changing towels), the lack of water fountains is disturbing, given the reliance on plastic water bottles ( or even glass) And as the heat wave reached 42°C, it was time for the hotel to provide water fountains on several floors (like a gym or an airport), as many guests came with their own water bottles. The rooftop pool is quite small for the number of people, but it is manageable. I will definitely come back, but I will pass on the breakfast buffet as better, tastefully (for the same or less) available nearby in very cute/aesthetic spots.
