Great Stay for Concordia Family

We stay here several times a year since my daughter is at Concordia University. We had a great experience on this trip. The curtain in the room was broken and we used a hanger to keep it closed. Other than that it was a great stay.

Staff was good & friendly. Room was clean but sheets are old, torn and thin. Pillows were hard and flat. Lamp shade was broken and the curtain was broken at the top. Pool was closed, when asked for how long, was told it’s been broken for years. Maybe update the site and in hotel advertising. Breakfast eggs were sitting in water. Did not eat as it didn’t look safe.

Overall, I will provide an 3 out 5 STARS for this hotel. The reservation was for three rooms total. Room number one had been smoked in previously and was possibly not clean properly, room number two was in great condition didn’t see any issues. Room number three had multiple issues, including a non-functional HVAC system had to sleep with the window open. The check-in process was a little cumbersome. Lots of paperwork to fill out plus listing guests that are in the rooms plus initialing multiple locations on each checkin, plus vehicles, plus drivers licenses.

We have stayed at Cobblestone before and it was a good stay. This one was a little off. We had 2 rooms the first night b/c my daughter was with us - we were in 208 and one of the bed was broken. It sunk to the middle when we laid down. The next night we were in 119 and one of the beds was broken again. I looked under the bed and the frame on the boxsprings was broken in several places. I let the front desk know for both rooms. We requested housekeeping for the 2nd day we were there but they didn't come. I went back to the front desk to get more towels two times before they came by the day before we left. The hotel breakfast was great! The young lady at the front desk was very polite and I know she was doing many tasks - housekeeping and front desk. my daughter is attending Concorida University and so we will be back to stay and hope the stay will be better.

There was, and probably still is, a semipermanent sign on the front door stating the pool is "temporarily" closed. This seems to be a trend with hotels lately. Apparently the owners these days don't have what it takes to manage their business. Why might that be?
