Nice hotel, nice location. Wish I had been more mindful about 2:00 check in time. We arrived at 8:30 on a rainy morning - exhausted and wet with nowhere to go. Room was lovely but very small. Card in room indicated that it was one of the smaller rooms - not sure why they would put 3 beds in one of ...
We stayed in the hotel for 9 days. It was in walking distance to the Louvre, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful. Since we did not speak French, it was nice to stay in a hotel with friendly employees who speak English. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
Great room and recently renovated hotel. Overall great experience but one things that was tough was no concierge to assist with local plans, just front desk staff doubling up and assistance on restaurant bookings etc was a low priority relatively to primary job of check-in and check-out.
Positive observations: Very nice, clean and comfy room, wonderful beds (!!!), front desk staff were generally terrific, hotel is in a very good location (1 block away from Metro), very reasonably priced, decent breakfast restaurant (a little pricey). Negatives: Cleaning staff dropped the ball twice ...
We stayed here 2 years in a row and definitely would come back again.
Great space, four single beds, with plenty of room to spread out. Small kitchen well equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals, very close to two grocery stores. Walking distance to metro stations, and close enough to walk to the Eiffel Tower. Be aware that when you book the apartment it does not come with housekeeping, that’s an additional fee, but you have a vacuum. Buy some paper towels when you go to the grocery and you should be all set.
We stayed at the Hotel Elysees Gare de Lyon for 5 days while attending a conference in Paris. It's very nice and clean and the staff are professional and pleasant. Even if you're traveling with 2 people, it's worth reserving the 3-person room (with the double bed and the twin). It gives you a lot more space for your stuff. The bathroom is a wet room (imagine instead of a room with a shower stall, they install the toilet and sink inside a big shower stall). So you can't really brush your teeth while someone else is showering, but whatever. This is a totally obvious tip, but point the shower head away from the center of the room before you turn the water on and then re-position it. The air conditioning is magnificent in summer. The location is excellent, and the neighborhood is safe for walking at night.
They are doing some renovations, so I imagine things will be a little better once that's finished. We stayed three nights, and slept well each night despite some street noise. The air conditioning was effective, which was fortunate as the days got quite hot. There is an elevator, but we tended to use the stairs. We didn't like the decor, and both the door to the room and the door to the bathroom tended to scrape on the floor. We had booked a family room, which meant that there were two twin beds and a sleep sofa. The sleep sofa was not uncomfortable, but I did feel as though I had to resist rolling to the center. The shower was prone to spraying water on the floor if we weren't careful. The shower head was at about chest height (but one could use it hand-held to wash one's hair, for example). There were no towel racks in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was decent (croissants, chocolate croissants, bread, jam, fruit, yoghurt, cereals), but they tended to run out of orange juice.
