Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lethbridge2.5 out of 5.0

I stay here regularly while on business in Lethbridge. It is conveniently located about 4 blocks from a mall and 3 blocks from a city park. Restaurants are within walking distance in all directions. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Clean as well. Jr exec suites have a separate room with a desk. Would prefer these rooms to have more light. All in all it is good value especially since a decent buffet breakfast is included.
Room and hotel were nice, only problem we experienced were the parking arrangements, especially in relation to disabled parking. On arrival, we found that there were two handicapped parking stalls next to the hotel. Both were taken , but one by a large oil industry truck and long trailer ?. The rest of the lot was full so I had to drop my wife off in her wheelchair at the entrance and seek parking on the street on the other side of the hotel. My only beef in this regard is that the oil industry truck was taking up a handicapped spot. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff who were not prepared to address the issue. Their reply was that "Those are trailer spots too". I found this quite odd as the signs clearly indicate they are handicapped spots, there is no mention of "trailer parking" whatsoever ?
We spent two nights in a Jr Exec King Bed Suite and it was perfect - nice and spacious, clean and comfortable, and quiet! The hotel even had real plates, and good strong plastic utensils, available in our "kitchenette" area. We encountered only one glitch: our hotel room had not been cleaned up by the time we returned at 4:00. The hotel staff must have been extremely busy that day. Anyway, we went to the front desk and someone did go up to freshen it up a bit, but forgot to clean up the "kitchenette" area where our pizza cardboard box and dirty dishes were... we did not mention this since it was not the end of the world. We would return here, gladly!
Pleasantly surprised as we booked in. We were up-graded to a spacious suite with an in-suite jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Very pleasant helpful staff. Decent breakfast selection. The hotel was very busy but the young lady looking after the breakfast was on top of things. Very comfortable accommodations and we will definetly stay here again on our next trip through Lethbridge.
Stayed at the hotel for business. Room was nice and big and bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made me feel welcome. I would recommend as a place to stay in Lethbridge. Seen people with pets so assume it is pet friendly. Location is close to shopping centre and a couple of restaurants are within walking distance.
We had 2 families stay in 2 rooms here and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very tasty and well stocked. The front desk were friendly and Kylie even went the extra mile bringing us water and plates for our supper pizza order we ate in the shared breakfast area. Thank you Kylie! The pool was fun for the kids, but did show a bit of age and may need an upgrade renovation sometime soon. OVERALL EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE.
Convenient to downtown Lethbridge. Staff was friendly and room was fantastic! My room with King bed must be the largest I've ever seen in a Holiday Inn Express with a spacious lounge area in the room that includes a couch and a gas fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub! The only thing keeping me from giving the hotel a 5 rating is the hallway smells of body Oder & I think the carpets in the hallway probably need replacing.
We had an enjoyable Canada Day in Lethbridge. This hotel is located close to the action so it was easy to get around. Super clean. Nice front desk staff. Great breakfast included in our stay. Took the jacuzzi room. No regrets!
The Holiday Inn Express is not intended to be a "home away from home" experience. The rooms are not much more than bed, bathroom, desk, sitting, and TV. My room had a mini fridge and microwave. It's not intended for you to spend a lot of time in the room. What the Holiday Inn Express is intended for is providing a place to crash for the night, and be a home base while you go out and experience the city, and it does that very well. The staff are friendly and helpful, the amenities are nice and well maintained, and the location can't be beat in Lethbridge. Additionally, they are very pet-friendly, so that was a definite plus.
Came to Lethbridge for the 2017 Lacrosse provincials. Had a whole block of rooms booked on the same floor. Very convineant. After 10 pm the hotel night staff kept circulating to many of the rooms policeing a good time. The floors above and below were also families of lacrossee families which were mingiling as well. There were no noise complaints that were brought to our attention but the security staff kept persisting. This made the evening very uneasy with the threats of kicking rooms out of the hotel. This was very unnecessary. The teams had early morning games and the level of partying was next to none. Understanding the hotel policies all the team families respected these rules. The night staffs percistance was very unnesessary making our last weekend as a team cut short due to idle threats. All doors were closed by 1am. The holiday inn should be thankful that many teams had chosen there hotel location and availability. Hopefuly when events like this are hosted the hotel would concidered that 80% occupants were there for the same reason. Just my thoughts. Thanks
