This venue was a perfect place to welcome the new year. The banquet room was beautifully decorated, the music was fantastic, and the lobby provided the perfect area to sit. We had a restful sleep in soft sheets, and the halls were quiet.
Pricey hotel for what you get. Dated decor and small rooms. Restaurant is expensive, food is ok, service was good. Front desk staff seemed disinterested at best, felt like we were an intrusion, maybe they would have been happier checking their phone
We decided to attend the New Year's Eve Celebration at the Coast hotel. The Room was packed with over 450 guests doe a five course sit down meal, live band, and dancing. The live band was excellent. Sound system was good on the dance floor but did not penetrate into the corners. Biggest disappoint was food, but not to surprising.Buffets for this number of people, in our experience, works much better. first two courses arrived cold. Food was unimaginative and certainly not worth the price. We expected steak and Lobster and got poor quality salmon and beef ribs instead.
Great front end and booking staff. If you want to sleep - book elsewhere. The room is cold, the heaters noisy and in need of repair, very noisy, bed hard and pillows lumpy. Not the same quality we have had at other Coast Hotels.
We stay at the coast over the holidays. Overall it was a good. We booked a king room and got an upgrade to king suite for $20 extra. King suite was quite small. Not really any bigger then a regular room. Staff was great. Restaurant was also great.
Stayed overnight for business. Had a great stay. This Hotel would have scored a "3" if it were in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver, but Lethbridge is not a major urban area. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, but very young and still appear to be training. The in house restaurant was surprisingly good. I will stay here the next time I visit.
We stayed in a suite for the weekend, it was spacious and well played out. There is a walk in closet with ample space for hanging clothes and leaving shoes out of the way - a problem for most hotel rooms. There was a fridge, microwave and lots of cupboard space, if you wanted to stay longer and buy food supplies. The bedroom was separated with a door from the sitting room and allowed us to choose to retire early without bothering the other person. The kind bed was comfortable, but the sound from the party in the banquet hall could faintly be heard. It never bothered us as we were quite tired, but could be an issue for others. Also, our heat thermostat needed to be turned up to 25C in order to heat both rooms sufficiently. It was not an issue for us as we discovered it early and were able to adjust the temp while we were out of the room anyway.
This is probably the best hotel in Lethbridge for social events and meetings. The banquet facilities are excellent and the caterers that work out of this hotel are among the best anywhere. The rooms are well kept and virtually every amenity that you may need is provided. Great place.
Our overnight stay was great. From the start with making a group reservation (of which the rate was fantastic) and to being able to all be together. The restaurant was a great gathering place and the food was excellent.
One of the cleanest hotels in the city! Thanks so much for keeping these high standards affordable! We had drinks late at night and breakfast in the morning, the restaurant was extremely busy both ties, but the service remained excellent!
