We stayed two nights. Room was fine, liked the bed and the pillows. Friendly staff. The eating area is being expanded so there was some construction happening during weekdays. However, the breakfast was horrible. Both mornings I tried the scrambled eggs. They were sort of warm, with no flavour and were like rubber. A staff member was microwaving them in the back room. Not sure how the sausage patties were cooked. They were Grey in colour and barely chewable. Took one bite and threw the rest out. The first morning my hubby tried the coffee....it was cold. He told the staff member so she brought out a new pot. It too was cold. He didn't bother trying it the second day. My yogurt on day two was frozen but still tasty. The hard boiled eggs were also like rubber. I did tell the manager and he apologized but we went to Tim Hortons for coffee. We stay in a lot of Choice hotels on our travels. This by far had the worst food. Wanted to go in the hot tub but it didn't look very clean
Overall I found this hotel reasonable and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was a reasonable continental breakfast (make-your-own-waffles, bagels, bread to make toast, various pastries, cold hard boiled eggs, warmed scrambled eggs, warm sausage patties, coffee, tea, juices, fruits and yogurts). I've had worse and I've had better. We had a king-sized bed which was comfortable and the hotel has reasonable sound insulation - although it was quiet over Christmas. I suggest, however, that if you're traveling in the dead of winter, this place may not be the one for you as, in southern Alberta, the winters can get quite cold - during our stay -32 degrees Celsius. The difficulty with this hotel is that it has very few electrical plugs for your vehicle. If you arrive back at the hotel a bit later (9 pm for us) all the plugs are taken and you run the risk of your vehicle not starting in the morning. I also found the price-point a bit high (120/night) during the slow season.
Stayed 4 nights in November. Comfortable place. Had everything we needed. Convenient location, friendly staff, good beds, pet friendly, good breakfast. Have pool but we didn’t use. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. What more can you ask for, would recommend when in Lethbridge.
The hotel itself was great. Very comfortable and convenient to my office. The only reason they are not getting 4 stars in because while in Alberta there was a freak snow storm and I was unable to get to the hotel, I had to stay else where because of driving conditions. They were not going to honor my reservation. But level heads prevailed, got my room.
This is a bit of an older Comfort Inn. I had stayed at another newer Comfort Inn in another city a few days before this stay so it was hard not to compare. However, I had a comfortable bed, the room was clean, the morning front desk person was very friendly and I liked the breakfast a lot. You can make your own waffles, which was fun.
This hotel was convenient overnight stop. It was clean and very comfortable. It has a pool which kids would love. Breakfast included in the reasonable rate. Located close to lots of chain restaurants.
We we're in Lethbridge Canada for only 1 day stopped here for the night. The staff we're extremely friendly and knowledgeable on where to eat/touristy things. The room was clean and tidy and had plenty of towels. We were tired form the drive, so we hit the the pool and Jacuzzi. Both were nice and the Jacuzzi was hotter than most that we've been to and that is NOT a complaint. Had breakfast the next day and everything was hot and delicious. We would stay here again if ever in the Lethbridge area.
Leaving Calgary and heading south towards Fort Macleod - Smashed in Buffalo Jump. So interesting to see and understand how the Napi tribe hunted buffalo like herding them over a cliff. Talk to the native hosts and understand through videos and displays how they orchestrated the hunt. Its a part of history. Travelled east towards Lethbridge Comfort Inn - very nice. On way into city check out the University of Lethbridge built into the hills. Don't forget to see the CN High trestle bridge at 314ft x 1500ft long. Check out Rickys prime rib dinner. Leaving the city heading south towards Writing on Stone Park. Its off the main highway but well worth it. The Coulees and Hoodoos are amazing to see. Great spot for pictures of countryside and harsh water formed structures. There is a place to camp as well. Interactive displays will have you thinking.
Stayed here on the first night of our family vacation. Rooms weren't ready when we arrived at 3:00, but staff rushed to get them ready for us. Bedspread was badly stained and we had to ask housekeeping to replace it (they did). Rooms were very average. Pull out sofa bed was much smaller than we expected - thankful we only had one small child sleeping on it! Breakfast was perhaps less than average compared to other hotels. The pool was nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but it wasn't a horrible experience.
This was a really disappointing experience. We had a reservation and checked in, dropped our bags in the room and immediately went to dinner. When we returned to the room to set ourselves up for the night, we noticed that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned (there was a dirty, used Q-tip sitting right on the bathroom counter in plain sight). We mentioned this to the front desk and they said that the cleaning staff had already gone home, and asked if we'd like to be moved to another room. In the next breath, the clerk said that the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't move us to another room. So why even offer us another room if you can't do it? The clerk said that she'd send the manager to our room to talk to us when he arrived. A few minutes later, the phone in our room rang and it was the manager saying he was coming down to our room. As we picked up the phone, an ant crawled over the phone. We showed the manager the Q-tip and he said that he would get the bathroom re-cleaned. He didn't say how that would happen given that the clerk said the cleaning staff were gone for the day. As for the ant, he simply said, "That came from outside." No kidding. At this point, we had no confidence in the cleanliness of anything else in the room, so we asked for our money back and left. I woke up this morning to see that the room had been charged to our credit card already, so if they don't follow through to reverse their promise to refund our room charge, I will be escalating this to their corporate office and our credit card company to have the charge blocked. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.
