On Friday May 19/2017 my husband and I had to come to Lethbridge so he could visit with his dying uncle. it seemed like Lethbridge was pretty full since the hotel we normally stay at was full (not a choice hotel) we decided to give the choice hotels a go, so I went to make the reservation online for the comfort in and I got a message stating "we're sorry, an unexpected error occurred" I thought this was strange cause I stay at a lot of hotels & have never seen this before. So I tried a few more times and I still got the same error message. So finally I gave up and my husband called another choice property hotel to make a reservation. On Saturday May the 20th I was just going through my credit card statement online and noticed that the Comfort inn Charged us 1 night room & tax. I called the comfort inn right away. The front desk staff was just horrible, rude blaming the choice hotel web site telling me I need to deal with them cause they were full & this was a Valid No Show charge. So we phoned the Choice Central reservation number the gentleman we spoke to there on Saturday May the 20th assured us our money would be refunded. 10 days later and they still wont give us back our money. My husband called the General Manager at the Comfort inn & spoke to him on Monday May 29/2017 & he was even worse than the front desk staff was. he was playing the blame game telling us it's a valid charge. I have been working in the Hospitality industry for 10 years, this is not how you treat people. just by the way this one property has treated us has turned our Stomachs on the whole Choice Hotels, we will never stay at one again, we will stick to properties that have integrity & care about their guests. P.S we didn't get any confirmation or anything notifying us that we had a reservation. they didn't even bother to call us when they charged our credit card.
Hotel just off the highway from US border. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast included - waffles, cereals, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, etc. Comfortable beds. handicap parking was not available.
We stayed here in January 2017 for a cheerleading competition. The room was overall clean, but dated. Our room faced Scenic Dr. but we had little to no noise coming from it. The bathtub had black staining in the bottom of it along with brass taps from the early 90's by the looks of it. Also under the sink there was a place that had been cut out to repair a water line by the looks of it, but the drywall wasn't repaired. The room offered a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The kids enjoyed the pool. It wasn't overly busy at night even with the teams there. No waterslide just a pool. The kids did mention it was a bit cold, but that could have just been kids being kids as I didn't get in. The morning breakfast was lacking though. The waffles had a very salty taste to them and the bread was dried out. Also because there were 2 full hockey teams also staying here if you weren't in there early you would be out of luck for fruit as the parents pocket it all for later. Seating was alright when we were down at about 7:30am, but by the time we checked out at 8:30am it was full with people standing. The hotel offers free wifi but don't expect much with it though. We were lucky if we could get emails or Facebook to load let alone getting anything from say Netflix. The best internet we had was in the lobby area where we could jump on to the Shawopen network. It didn't matter if you were trying the internet after 11pm or at 5am it was painfully slow. We found it faster to turn off the wifi and just run off of our cell phone data. We complained about it but were told by the staff it is the best they can get. I tried a speed test at 11pm and 5am as was lucky to get 0.15Mbps download speed. Nothing was done about this and no follow up from the manager as promised. Not a big deal as next year when we are there we will look for something a bit more upgraded.
I traveled to Lethbridge with two basketball teams from Calgary. We only stayed for one night and I accidentally forgot my wall adaptor and phone charger in my room. The wall adaptor is the larger Apple adaptor worth about $45. I called and asked for them to mail it back to me and the manager says they don't have it. I told him to speak to the housekeeper who cleaned my room and he said that she says she doesn't have it. So basically the housekeeper stole it and the manager isn't doing anything about it. Enjoy selling my adaptor and charger cord, I hope you do not feel too guilty stealing from a guest who will never use your hotel again.
We found our stay here good for less than $100 a nite with taxes. Our room 101 was large ,clean and inviting. The hotel offered extras such as a pool and excise room, etc. It has a nice large area for a hot breakfast which was included.
I had intended to book a different hotel and selected the Comfort Inn by mistake. Upon checking in I realized my error but decided I was too tired to care. In hindsight, I am pleased that I stumbled across this lovely location. In addition to the sparkling cleanliness of my room, it was a very quiet location and the hotel was very well situated for my needs. Close location to groceries, and other sought after amenities. The room was well equipped with a proper fridge, Keurig coffee maker, comfortable seating, and more. I was very happy with all aspects of my stay here and recommend this location to travellors.
This hotel is in a very central location close to grocery stores and restaurants. I was staying at a different hotel and moved to this one because it looked much better. The hotel staff is friendly and the check in was quick. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom needed some work, there was a large crack in the floor that should probably be fixed. The bathtub drain had a lot of hair stuck in it (gross) but it's not that big of a deal. The internet was a bit spotty, it kicked out a lot. I was pretty happy overall for a short stay. It's a safe hotel although it attracted some loud, younger individuals who seemed to be having a party just outside the window. Can't fault the hotel though. I would happily stay again.
Very nice staff and a full breakfast. They were very understanding about our trouble we were having with our car as we had to keep adding days to our stay. The hotel was quite and almost everything was near the hotel. Our luck the car dealer was right across the street!
I'm usually very happy with Comfort Inns but this one was not up to par. They advertised renovated rooms but the quality was poor. Eg. The bathroom floor had a big crack in the tiles that had been "repaired" with a big glob of glue, the sink tap was old and dripped, and the desk lamp was broken. The outdoor grounds needed work. The Internet was slow. On the positive side, the reception service was very friendly, the room was clean, towels fluffy, water pressure good, and the breakfast was adequate.
A spontaneous family trip to Lethbridge to see the Japanese Gardens left us in need of a place to stay. After checking out a few places with less than stellar results, the Comfort Inn offered a pleasant reception: the front desk staff were friendly and professional; lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch; and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. As a bonus, the pool area was equally spotless and virtually empty, so we were able to enjoy a relaxing swim and Jacuzzi after dinner. The only downside was the complementary breakfast, with cold scrambled eggs and sausage that were less than appealing.
