This hotel is in an excellent location to campus. Easy to get around. Easy & fast check in and out processes. The continental breakfast was nice and tasty. The room was clean and perfect for our one night stay. We appreciated the big fridge to put our snacks and drinks in. This would be a great place to stay at with a group of friends visiting the campus & East Lansing area.
I stayed here with my two teenage sons for 3 nights over the weekend. We had a two Q bedroom suite, which worked out perfectly. There is also a sofa bed in the living room, and so 3 of us had our own space and were very comfortable. The rooms were spotless. The staff was polite and pleasant. It was quiet. We got 4 inches of snow on our last night and so the plows were out in the early morning hours. The lot and sidewalks were clear and shoveled by 8 am. Impressive! I have three pieces of advice: 1) There is no pool, and so if you want to swim, don't come here. 2) If you seek a nice quiet clean attractive room at a great price, this is it! I will definitely be back. 3) Don't wait until the last 1/2 hour to get breakfast. Go earlier. There is very limited seating and the breakfast area is crammed into a very small space. I experienced the last minute rush and had to wait in line to even get close to the food and then there was no place to sit and eat. And no place to stand without being in someone's space. And on the way out I figured out that they keep the coffee in the lobby. Go early when you can sit and have a nice relaxing breakfast!
We arrived later than expected. I hadn't realized there was no pool. After a long drive the kids were bummed. My confirmation wasn't showing in the system. Mark C did a great job of helping us secure new reservations at the discounted rate I had originally booked. he was very busy and maintained stellar guest service through everything. The rooms were nice. The only complaint I would have is that the midnight shift was very rude on the phone when we called down in the morning to ask questions. She made us feel like we were a bother.
Cozy place to feel at home while you are away from your home on work or pleasure. The staff is excellent and always ready to help you. The ambiance is pleasing and has a leisurely feel to it. One room suite with all the necessary amenities like cooking and laundromat and very prominently located with local transportation facilities nearby is an added advantage. Surprises like fresh baked cookies and popcorn's on game days brings a smile on the face.
Had to travel to East Lansing on Business. I did not select the hotel but others did. It was great. I could live there. The suite we had was like a small apartment. Clean, quite, new just took care of all of our needs. Unlike most hotels the internet was fast. I was able to upload video and handle all my work with ease. This hotel made my work in East Lansing easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in East Lansing.
First of all, I would stay there again. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Very nice rooms. I stayed in a studio, and it had a kitchen area with stove, sink, full size refrigerator. Also a good sized bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Very nice overall. 2. The staff was excellent. Cons: 1. The breakfast area is pretty small with very limited seating. Food was good, though. 2. The shower head in my room was not the best. Hard time adjusting the water flow, and the shower experience wasn't the greatest. If I had a replacement shower head, I would have changed it. 3. The tub was a bit slippery, they need to put some kind of slip resistant surface in it. I felt I had to be careful while standing there.
We stayed here on a football weekend. The location is excellent. Room was a one bedroom plus living area with kitchen. All the furnishings were practical & comfortable. Breakfast was good. I appreciated the in room full size coffee pot and refrigerator. I would stay here when visiting East Lansing.
This hotel was on the campus of Michigan State. The room was beautiful and spacious! My only issue was the outside lock. The door would never open so we had to go in through the lobby! I would most definitely stay there ahain
We booked a studio suite here on a recent visit to MSU. The room had a sofa, a small kitchen, and a nicely designed large closet. There was a laundy room and an outdoor bbq area as amenities. The hotel is located on the far east side of campus. My husband and I had a great run from the hotel to the Sparty statue along the river and back via Sanford woods natural area. By showing our room key we had an option of purchasing a day pass to the nearby Michigan Athletic Club for the day. We didn't have time but I so would have taken advantage of the steam room if we did! The breakfast was o-kay but nicer coffee and tea are available all day. The staff was very friendly and the room rate was less expensive than the hotel next door with no kitchen. Loved this place!
We were there with a group of about 20. There we other large groups there as well. The staff was terrify! The outdoor space was great with a gas grill, outdoor gas fireplace and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. Short distance from Michigan State. Good restaurants within walking distance.
