This is an excellent property; even the included breakfast was hot, fresh, and tasty and above average. Elevators arrive quickly, and there was no long wait to check in or out. Staff were nice. Guests were courteous and appeared to be mostly students (but respectful, quiet ones). The only drawback I can think of is that the free parking near the hotel is sparse. It’s easiest to park in the below street level lot across a small street, which is $20 for 24 hours or $10 for 8 hours. It’s not that far away, it’s right there, which is positive. But you need a phone to scan the QR code and credit card or debit card to use it. The free parking is shared for another hotel and some residences, so it fills up quickly, and the free parking is 2 hour max parking from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm, so I ended up paying for parking for peace of mind. A big shopping center is right across the street in Frandor with a lot of food options, a grocery store, a supply store, a Staples, etc. The surrounding area is nice and safe as compared to certain parts of the greater city of Lansing (I used to be a local).

Good stay at MSU

Stayed here for a visit to Michigan State. Property is located about a mile away and walkable if the weather is good. Room was spacious. The mattress on the pullout couch was very flimsy. Breakfast was ok (plentiful but not the best eggs or hash browns). We enjoyed our stay overall.

This is out 2nd time staying at this location. Unfortunately our room was not cleaned well at all. The shower floor was covered in dirty footprints and hair. Housekeeping came to clean the floor and apologized but we went to take a shower we noticed that the walls and doors of the shower were also covered in hair. There was also a dirty black sock left in the room next to the bed that my 2 yr old granddaughter found and decided to play with which was absolutely disgusting.

Our stay was quiet and we felt safe. Parking was a bit of a tricky thing. There is a large lot in the back that you would have to pay for to park. We were told if we could find street parking that would be free because it was the weekend. Sometimes you had to drive around a bit before you could find a spot. Overall I would stay here again!

Great Staff & Accommodations

Great stay. Staff is top notch. Brandie was particularly accommodating, upgrading our room so we could stay close to our elderly parents in their accessible room. Breakfast buffet is a nice perk (liquid egg would be better than dehydrated if Hyatt really wanted to make an imprint on guests, but that is my only constructive comment). Will stay again.
