Upon my arrival was greeted by the office manager Shantelle (sp?). Honestly can’t recall the last time I had such a warm welcome checking in at a hotel. The lobby looked very clean and I thought to myself “yeah, I’d actually eat breakfast here” and I don’t usually say that. They were having issues with the key cards working but Shantelle handled it fantastically.
When I got into my room I noticed the bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned but everything else looked clean in the room. I went down and told the front desk. The main manager happened to be there and instantly she insisted that I get a new room. The head of housekeeping happened to be standing there as well and they both went to check on the dirty sink and they even went ahead to make sure my new room was up to par. Honestly I think it just happened to be a new housekeeper and she missed the sink. New room was immaculate and the manager and the head of housekeeping were clearly experts in customer service.
I guess I’m writing all of this to stress what a quality team they have. Even in the face of stress and adversity, the afternoon team were customer service rockstars. The lady working the late night/early morning shift might benefit a bit from their sparkle though. So if you run into her don’t say I didn’t warn you. Maybe she was just having a bad night-I get it
The property could use some updates but the clean rooms and lovely afternoon team made up for it.
Surrounding area was good with restaurants nearby.
