I would stick to saying that the experience was not something to get bowled over with. It is a dated property but has nice views and friendly staff. They always wear a smile and are ready for small talk. It is an old 4 star resort that it seems used to be 'the thing' in the past. stay here if u dont wanna spend a lot and yet want that resort kinda experience ( which is very average).... but u get what u pay for :) ... special thanks to the beautiful people at the reception for making my day by smiling and greeting :) ... the housekeeping is OK too... the outside restaurant is just fine.. they offer shuttles to nearby mall and that is very helpful.
This hotel is old in exterior, luckily we booked for Premier Seaview Room. 1 room is 1x king bed with sofa available, with balcony. 1 room is 2x Queen bed without sofa and Balcony Both were connecting room, idea for travel in group. The hotel room sound proof was bad, can hear what opposite room noise and outside noise (apparently some construction works) The room was clean, tidy, offer great sea view. The toilet and washroom were seperate, although bathroom abit small but sufficient. Things to improve is water pressure, which unstable along the way. Overall, it's a good place to consider if you want a quite place to relax with good sea view. Nothing much to expect from Breakfast
This hotel location is very nice, view from room is also good, but if anybody want to city life, either he have own vehicle ya avail texi, so otherwise food is so so, and staff is nice, but service is slow
Overall Very pleasant stay; But need a general overhaul of 1. The furniture in the room, 2. Seagull restaurant's lunch/dinner menu 3. Alertness and efficiency of the "frontline staff" at reception in their communication and billing Reception Desk not alert and was inefficient 1. Not well informed: When asked about places for certain shopping they suggested a name but forgot to add that it was closed on that very day. Hotel receptions are generally great sources for when to go, how to go ... but not them.Google yourself before you go. 2. Double charge: during check out after we paid and got our bill we realised we were charged DOUBLE for the taxes - on the day we checked in and also on the day we checked out. The staffs were different on the two days and there was no complete & handy record of what has been paid and what is due of a guest when he checks out!!! They took out a roll of papers tied with a rubber band to confirm if indeed our claims of payment were true. They finally refunded the doubly charged tax items in cash. Housekeeping Very good & Room Comfortable, workable but run down 1. Room was big, airy with a beautiful view. It was clean and basic gadgets were all in working condition. But furniture was quite run down 2. The wifi was very strong 3. Housekeeping was very prompt and responded almost immediately to our requests – be it a hard pillow at night, another bottle of water in the afternoon or an extra coffee sachet early morning Food @ restaurant Seagull – great service but limited choice 1. Breakfast spread well rounded: The food was good quality and spread all rounded (but not lavish); the restaurant staff quickly cleared used crockeries from the table and replenished the items that were decreasing at the buffet 2. Lunch and dinner @ Seagull only when we had to - Very friendly staff and the quality of ingredients were good. However choice was very limited and we ate the meals there because we had to - lunch on the day we landed and dinner on an evening it rained very hard
Resort's location is one of the best in the island, the food quality is acceptable but there is definitely room for improvement. Premium rooms are spacious and very nice. The fridge is however empty and there is no drink or complimentary items in it. If you pay for deposit, please keep the receipt until check out time because the staffs have this tendency to forget you already paid! They wanted to make me pay double because they did not keep the receipt, until I showed them the evidence the ashamed them. This trip was the 5th time I came to this hotel and maybe I will come back...hope this time they do better job at check out...
Expected better from the hotel 1. Staff too long to check us in. And didn't seem to know what she was doing 2. Room not as well kept as advertised. Cushion pillows had musty odor 3. Buffet bfast was ok.
I will rather prefer to stay close to pantai cenang hotels than Resort world Langkawi as first shuttle bus to cenang is at 11.00 am and last bus to return is 5.20 pm. Limited options in food menu and food service to room also not available 24 hours.
Has an excellent and sprawling property. Had been having a good experience initially but was offended when guests staying at the hotel were asked to vacate chairs on the jetty overlooking the sea if not ordering eventhough all chairs were empty. Overall the experience could have been better
My wife and I stayed in this hotel as my company has a conference in it. I booked the premier room and check in was quite fast. (Probably due to the company booking). As I thought my room is named premier I misunderstood its standard, I thought it will be a extremely luxury suite but it was only refurnished room. I stayed at room 5208 which is quite a walk away from the lobby. I would recommend anyone to stay at Block 3 or 4 which is nearer and go for the seaview. The view is extremely good and I am not able to enjoy it due to being booked at the wrong side. Room was fine. It was nothing luxury and I was told that there were two queen beds. I asked for a king bed but there was none. When I entered the room, the beds were super single and not queen. Please retrain your staff on this information. The restaurant where I had my breakfast, lunch and dinner had quite limited seating if large group is around. The choices are pretty limited too and this is nothing something I expect from this level of hotel. Staff was extremely friendly. Kudos on this. I talked to the front desk to change my room. Although none available, they tried to help me as much as they could. The staff in the restaurant were quick in clearing tables and replenishing the food as soon as it was finishing during the buffet. My wife told me that the housekeeping was extremely friendly but I do pity that she alone had to clean ALL the rooms. This hotel location is pretty far away from happening locations such as Cenang and Kuah. Taxis can be bring you here but I suggest you use Grab or Uber. I was told by my wife that they had a shuttle to Cenang Mall which you can get more information from the counter. Overall I am pretty ok with this place but I do hope it improves on the room itself.
Services provided and environment are excellent. Had been stay in this hotel for twice. Both stay are great. Newly renovated hotel room is awesome with the modern design concept. Definitely will back to this hotel again.
