Bayview Hotel Langkawi4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed in Bayview for 4-5 days for our honeymoon. the personals were very friendly. they even upgraded out room for free to a seaview room ( we had booked a hill view room). The sort of service they offered as such that it felt service at a personal level, which of course very nice. Pros Great value for money. Close of shops and night market Great staff/service spacious rooms Cons. Is relatively Far from most activities (but one can easily rent a bike or a car and then it is all good)
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Room was spacious and clean, though it could have been better. View from the room was awesome. Bathroom was very big, with both bath tub and bath cabin. They could have kept the size smaller and made it more plush, but it was fine. Beds were too big and that is why were comfortable for our family of 3. There is a market nearby, so you have eat, drink and shop till late in the evening. The hotel is 3 kms from eagle point which can be accessed by cab. Other points of visit were far off. Breakfast buffet had good variety for the non-vegetarians. Though not much was there for the vegetarians, but it was manageable. All and all, good stay. The hotel is under renovation currently and i am sure, they are going to make it a great place to stay in Langkawi.
Hotel is located just 5 min drive from the Ferry Terminal. its not a beach resort and it is located with in the city if you are looking for good quite place. as it's a city center so you can move around easily from one part to the part of the city. Staff is really good/ friendly but breakfast is not up to the mark as it is a four star hotel it should be improve with more better dishes . over it was a pleast stay in the hotel and we stay up to 5 night in the hotel.
Stayed 3D2N at Bayview Hotel Langkawi. Counter staffs were polite and approachable when we're checking-in. High level of professionalism. Hotel room was spacious and tidy. Was offered the window room facing view of the beautiful shore. Most of the necessities were included. Only downside was lack of power sockets for charging of handphone devices. Overall enjoyable stay :)
The hotel is going through some much needed renovations. We stayed on the tenth floor and one room was so bad we asked to change rooms. The ironing board was ripped, tea stains on the desk and the carpet was yuck. When shown alternative rooms for both, we spotted the leaking AC which we were informed was because the AC was low? We ended up keeping one original room and changing to another for the other members of my family. ALOT of things need changing: The shower head in the shower and the shower curtain which has stains. The flushing system as each time you flush water leaks from the handle. Carpet needs to be changed. Walls needs to be repainted. Bathtubs need to be changed. Kettle needs to be changed. Wires for the lamp and light control etc come through a hacked out hole in the wall. Irons need to be changed as they are so heavy but aren't that powerful. It seems the hotel just wasn't maintained and so the renovations are much needed but useless if not maintained. We will not be returning unless given a completely better room (apparently floor 12 is good) or until renovations have taken place.
Check in time was 2 and we had booked 2 rooms. They provided us with only one at two and the other room was given at 3. Stayed for two days and the soaps/shampoo was not changed even when the soap was size of a coin. Breakfast fast is ok. Less veg option. Bread butter jam available. Rooms are huge. Carpet is pretty old. Staff is friendly though. Wouldn't go there again
My wife and I recently stayed at the The Bayview Hotel for 3 nights. Lets start with the positives: Front desk customer service is fantastic and overall hotel staff are warm and friendly. The front desk staff were also happy to make suggestions/recommendations and we are grateful for their advise. Each morning/evening as we left/returned to the hotel, we really enjoyed the smiles and warm welcomes from both the house keeping/hotel lobby staff. Room/Hotel: We stayed on the 10th floor with a lovely view of the ocean. As for the hotel, it is old, dated and the room was simply not up to scratch for a '4 Star' hotel. Little things that put you off were: - Dirty ironing board cover which clearly has seen better days - Dust/dirt behind left bedside table - Stains on one of the pillow Breakfast buffet was average at best however the staff were friendly. Overall a comfortable stay however the hotel needs a solid renovation if it aspires to be a great 4 star hotel. Unless the hotel is renovated, I don't believe we will be returning here again.
Stayed at this hotel last week. Very good and big rooms.Comfortable and welcoming staff especially front office staff. Food is average. Will definitely go back again. Choose the rooms which are pool facing as it also has the view of the sea from the higher floors.
Its a value for money resort as it is available for much decent rates compared to other available options. However , do not expect swimming pool..or any 4 star facilities. Room service staff was not much adjusting as refused to provide extra blanked and complained of calling them again and again. But the reception staff was very helping on all the services. They even helped to arrange cake and flowers for our anniversary. Langkwai is a very chilled and relaxed place , hence its better to enjoy more outside. :)
Stay in the hotel was comfortable and welcoming. Hotel is currently undergoing some upgrading works which is nice. Would love to come back again once it’s finished. So in Langkawi, I rented a car and parked in the hotel and someone actually scratched my car. I was actually having a hard time contacting the car company but at that point of time, I think it was the manager who was wearing a black suit came to assist me. He was really friendly and helpful and offered to help me call the car rental company to get it sorted out. After a Long wait, he gave another call to the rental company and they finally said that I don’t have to pay anything. This all happened without me doing much. Thank you so much! I hope you guys can pass on this compliment to him. I didn’t get his name but this incident took place on 20 July 2017 at around 7pm-9pm. Would definitely make a return on my next trip to Langkawi! Keep up the excellent service. However, I would like to add on that we had dinner in the hotel and the food was disappointing. Steak was too salty and chicken rice tasted too plain. For the price we paid we expected better quality food. Hope you guys can improve on that. Overall, very enjoyable stay in Bayview.
