Me and my husband would like to thank for the fantastic hospitality we received during our stay not only that but would also like to compliment one of the staff name Farah at the front desk as she did a remarkable job, so warm and caring thanks for such great assistance and memories. We had such a lovely time at your property and truly hope to come back for another stay. Regards Mike & Lilian

It is clear that the Westin Langkawi has been a long staple for the Marriott group of hotels. The position, the personable staff, and the option of facilities are all fantastic however it is seemingly starting to show wear and tear with much neglect in certain areas. The beachfront villas are everything you would expect from a highly-priced room set on the beachfront. Large and spacious with a sublime private pool you cannot ask for much more from a room. The only problem is that the rooms are dating and many band-aid solutions have been put in place. The cleaners are amazing and they do their best to prevent the leaks and ants from entering the villa but after 20 years it is obvious that the Marriott group need to consider renovating these rooms to bring them back to their rightful former glory. The pools are fantastic and overlook the stunning ocean and nearby islands. The pool staff do an amazing job and really go the extra mile to ensure the people staying at the hotel are enjoying their stays to the fullest. Dining at the hotel is also of the highest quality. With 3 restaurants on-site and a brilliant in-room dining menu you will not be short of options and will not be disappointed with what the hotel has on offer, however, the pricing does seem a little out of touch with that which can be obtained in the nearby town especially on drinks. The playground and kids club has unfortunately really been neglected at the hotel. The playground is rusting and the kids club leaves a lot for be desired, unfortunately, this would have a major bearing on me bringing my young family back to the hotel. Overall, the hotel has more pros than it does cons, with amazing staff already in place it just needs some investment from owners and it really could be a true 5-star hotel however too many things are being neglected at the moment for this to be the case.

We chose Langkawi because we wanted a relaxing holiday and it was. The Westin was lovely though quite a lot of families and kids. The room was a nice size with partial ocean view though we could see a lot of the ocean. The bathroom was showing signs of age a mould which I understand is hard to control in tropical climates, they probably just need better ventilation. Air Conditioner worked a little too well at times. Concierge staff were fantastic. We had 2 days of rain so spent a bit of time in the day spa which was amazing. The Middle East restaurant was great for dinner as were the restaurants at the neighboring St Regis hotel which charge back to your room. Whilst there we did the cable car and sky bridge as well as local night food markets.

Stayed at the Langkawi Westin Resort and Spa for 5 days. From when we arrived until we left we were greeted with smiling faces and great service at the resort. The facilities and amenities are great...the breakfast and "international" buffet dinners amazing! Relaxed by the pools...all situated on the beachfront and the spa treatments superb.

Beautiful resort with an infinity pool overlooking the sea set on a backdrop of mountains! Booked our holiday for our son's 3 year old bday. Ikpal who checked us in arranged for a surprise cake with his name on it in the morning. And when we came back from his bday dinner, the room was beautifully decorated with balloons and birthday banners. It was so heart warming to see his surprised face and big smile! Thank you Ikpal! Service during breakfast can be improved though. The staff at the reception took our room number down and left us there. We were expected to go and find our own table and coffee and tea were only served if you asked. But still was a nice getaway!

We booked a connecting room garden view was offered a garden view villa pool at an extra discounted cost which we were happy to pay, only to find the villa was in bad state external doors don’t close properly, cockroaches got in the taps kept getting blocked following day after complaining it was being fixed the pool had broken tiles and was very deep not safe for children unless u have the right floats to swim with. We were than changed to the main hotel as the villa was only available for 3nights we were there for 6nights we asked what time was check out they said 12pm we left at 11am only to find we had no rooms available for us. Until 5.30pm children were exhausted waiting in the lobby area we were than given a partial ocean view upgrade because of the wait which was nice at no extra cost. The restaurant outside are quite a walk away so it would’ve been nice to have something more close by or half board available for children especially variety of food was more continental and Middle Eastern not much Thai or Malaysia, last day of leaving we had to call again to check the time to check out only to be told they have guests waiting for our room we have our transfer car coming at 4pm. We had to rush the packing and than use only one room as we had two connecting rooms we paid for. I have to say views are breathtaking but customer service is very poor regards to check in and check out and also there’s room tax to pay at the end too per room 15RM per room per night.

The property is secluded and has a private beach. The layout is such that even though it was almost full house, one did not feel claustrophobic in the crowd. With a partial ocean view with 2 queen beds,it was sufficient for 3 adults with ample space. Food was good albeit there aren’t much choices where restaurants are concerned. 3 in all. With one working on two different cuisine options - one for lunch and another for dinner. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful and amenities well looked after and maintained. Definitely thinking of going back again.

Langkawi as an Island as well the Westin as a Hotel is in a beautiful location. The view are really charming and soothing. The Westin is in a corner of an Island, but also within few minutes distance to the hustle and bustle and shopping areas. I was restricted to the Hotel and surrounding due to my work there. The views from the hotel and the surrounding garden and beach are really worth visiting. Hotel is also very well maintained and very well done. The Hotel also has a majestic conference center just across few meters. One side of the Hotel is thick lush tropical jungle, while the other side is the beach and beautiful view of hilly islands.

I really loved this place, we decided to eat something at this restaurant after a very good massage at the spa. I forgot the name of the cool waiter that helped us a lot with his recommendations. He was so nice and helpful. We still remember our evening there. Peace ♥️

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 3 location holiday to Malaysia. We had booked a Premium ocean view room. This hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the local town and about a 25 minute drive from the airport. The hotel itself is fairly modern and sits in a wonderful location on a beach facing out to sea and the surrounding islands, the view is the best part of this hotel. The issues I had during my stay are as follows: Slow check in - we were advised our room wasn't ready when we arrived. Guests are sat in the waiting area as the hotel believes guests prefer this . I don't! I am perfectly capable of standing at a counter and passing information across. I do not like to sit around waiting to hear what is going on. Food - an almost total absence of Malaysian food on the menu. Mostly Western food and a Middle East restaurant (July & August). The middle Eastern restaurant was superb though and the chef (Sam?) was extremely helpful and interesting. Dirty poolside - the area around the pools is dirty and needs high pressure jet washing to remove ingrained dirt from the concrete pool area. Poorly maintained poolside - the pool edging has lots of uneven blocks that are old and not at all well maintained. The pool looks old and neglected with missing tiles and unstable pool hand-railing. The concrete blocks that the parasols sit in are covered in moss and need cleaning. Grass cutting - I witnessed a worker using a grass trimmer to cut a large area of lawn around the pool in the middle of the day. This was very noisy and also begged the question why not use a mower - faster and far quieter? Ocean view room - we could not see the ocean from our room (3310) due to trees - the room would better be described as 'ocean direction facing'. Hotel guests - the hotel has a large number of guests from the middle east. They are clearly uncomfortable with western swimwear and at times it was extremely awkward for my wife to use the pool. We devised a system of me meeting her from the water with a towel to avoid the staring and pointing. Not what you want on a holiday in a 5 star hotel and the first time this has ever happened to us. There was also a gay member of hotel staff, he was friendly and extremely good at his job however he was the subject of a lot of staring and pointing by certain hotel guests and we found it uncomfortable to witness. I did discuss some of my concerns with the duty manager on the day we checked out of the hotel and he assured me that he would raise my concerns with the management team. Overall we were disappointed with our stay. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and I am sure they try their best to cope with very difficult guests. I would not stay at this hotel again.
