This was a okay hotel for kids because if the pool with slides. The restaurant was cheap, but they did almost not understand english at all. The hotel needs renovation inside. I would not go here again.
This resort is OK but I have to write a review about the resort everything was fine but one thing is that the housekeeping staff is not so good no change the towel in occupied for today other hotel I stay they have changed the towels in the room but this hotel no change the towels in the occupied room one thing does not have laundry bags, sandle and toothbrush
The room was comfortable and quite big for the whole family. The food not that bad. Facility especially the swimming pool was great for the whole family. The down side is just the lift is too small and seem old too. Everything else is acceptable. It has been a great short vacation for the whole family.
I Stayed in 2010 room on 2nd floor. Rooms was clean spacious. The hotel is bit far from airport around 14 KM near eagle square. plenty of duty free shops are there and choice of food and drinks is quite good. at 2.1 RM for a bear can it was amazing
The architecture is cheap, just a building with rooms. It has 2 blocks; sea facing and one opposite, town facing. Its not a tower so other than sea-facing rooms, do not expect views. Plus: Location near town, parking and outdoor facilities - kids play ground, sea facing walkway and outdoor restaurant, pool with slides. Minus: Room and bathroom quality severely lacking in maintenance.
Was at the hotel only for a night, the room was nice and comfortable, only regret was that the staff was a bit indifferent. Indian cuisine not available at the restaurant and couldn't locate good restaurants near by in the short time I was there. The outdoors spaces were very good, the view at the seating at seaside was great and the overall ambience was very nice. The pool with slides and showers for kids was amazing. Good varieties of plant species are planted in the resort grounds and maintained well! One advise for asians with old kind of round charging plugs -should carry an adapter for western plugs else charging the phone would be a challenge.
I see there have been some bad reviews - probably from guests staying in the opposite building away from the sea. We paid for a de-luxe room in the main building, and it was very good. We had the usual amenities, including tea & coffee, the beds were comfortable and we had a very scenic sea view right across the bay to some small islands and we could even see the Langkawi Eagle at the Jetty. The dining room has been renovated and was fine. Breakfast was buffet with a reasonable choice. Did not dine there in the evening so don't know what that is like. There is also a Bistro type restaurant on the hotel's sea front terrace, open evenings, which looked attractive and seemed to keep quite busy. The gardens and pool area is good and under-used - all the better for those who like sun bathing! The hotel is fairly central, with Kuah town to the left and a shopping mall and the Jeti not too far to walk to the left. The Lagenda Park is almost just outside and is a nice walk through towards the Jeti, with the sea and beach on one side and the park the other. There are some good set pieces throughout the park, if you walk away from the sea and further into the park. We have been several times for 2 or 3 nights each time and find it well worth the very reasonable daily rate.
The room they had provided was in a worst possible way, request for room change took 2 hora and 4 calls to the reception. Wifi password was wrong. It took them almost a day to sort it. Will never recommended this place.
I booked a standard room here in conjunction with a convention conducted at the hotel. The standard room was located at different building opposite the main building. There was no staff at the reception area and the lobby looks gloomy and ghostly. It was quite scary to stay there during non-peak season. The only thing I liked about this hotel was the sea view near the swimming pool.
So, the photos we viewed upon booking this room were highly misleading. If I knew that when I opened the blinds in my hotel room that I would be looking out onto a busy lift, I definitely would not have stayed here. We arrived at a lovely reception area and then were abruptly told we were staying in the hotel across the road - a dark and dated hotel that way away from the main building. We booked this as it was close to the ferry port. It did the job.
