Location is great, room bed was hard. They didn’t let me c
First at check in we were told our rooms pipe burst and all the other ocean view rooms were booked. So they essentially have our room away as well. They offered no other recourse or credit. They instead gave us a room infested with insects, large wet area on the already stained carpet and a tub with yellow stains. Further the walls were paper thin. After much resistance the front office accommodated us with allowing cancellation of our reservation and one free night in the appropriate ocean view room. So- we were left searching for a last minute room at 8-830p. Awful. Oh and barely anyone in or around the resort was wearing masks nor was there any enforcement of it. Im so so disappointed with PE. It was nothing I’d ever experienced before.
I was amazed at the quality of the staff at this hotel. They jumped at the chance to help us in any way we needed. We even had one of the housekeeping staff go above and beyond when we asked for where the ice machine was. She walked us over and even got if for us! So thankful to be treated so well while away from home. Added bonus was we were able to walk everywhere we needed!
This was definitely a bait and switch. All social media posts show a breathtaking property and rooms. Our room looked like it hadn't been updated in 50+ years. Heater didn't work, so the brought a portable one up, which took a much coveted plug. The toilet needed 10 minutes between flushes to work and animals are allowed in the room...which you could tell by the urine stains and smells.
The hotel has an excellent location in a very nice part of the beach with a great sandy entry in the middle and a nice rocky snorkeling area to the left. The water was crystal clear when I went there. The hotel offers valet parking only due to the shortage of parking spaces in the area and the room had a pretty rough carpet with stains and sand embedded in it even though I was on the top floor in a corner room. The continental breakfast is basic .
We love this property! It is the best beach hotel for our family because it is on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. There is a great grocery store just across the street. Food and fun all around.
Its on the Beach which was amazing. Room was just ok, but for the price its understandable. very nice restaurants within walking distance. Location is great
Definitely a solid 3 as the description and reviews illustrate. Room 11 was nice as an end unit on the top floor, we were able to see the firework shows but the properties huge tree needs to be topped as it obstructs a lot of the ocean view. The exterior AC box was being destroyed by the elements and needs attention, the interior AC vent needed to be cleaned along with all the corners of the rooms. There were no bath towels in the bathroom when we arrived, had to call for those and there was no complimentary bottle of wine as suggested by the manager to celebrate our occasion. I felt let down with higher hopes. I would stay here again with friends but likely not with my family.
Opening the door to our room and seeing the Pacific--AMAZING! Not so amazing (and really scary) was the lamp by the bed that started smoking (at the wall plug in) to the point the plug was burned and a fire could have started, had we not been in the room to turn off the lamp, pull out the plug and set the smoke smelling lamp outside our Room 127. This was a $500 paid-in-advance stay and I think we should have been refunded or credited something.
We had a wonderful stay! Some small issues upon check in but staff was more than helpful to make sure we were happy. Location is perfect!
I love that it is right on the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was dated and the walls are thin so could hear footsteps, neighboring rooms, people outside. Also, the shower would randomly turn burning hot or freezing cold which was unpleasant.
Parking was an extra charge of $35 +$15 facilities fee. This is a hidden charge of $50 plus all the other taxes. Price was deciving.
Beyond perfect view of the ocean The waves we’re literally crashing right below us.
