Lantern Inn B&B

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I came to Lake Winnipesaukee as my gift to him for his birthday. I was looking for a serene setting where we could lay back, relax, and enjoy the lake while still being close enough to all the hot spots. The Lantern Inn was exactly what we were looking for. The inn is BEAUTIFUL. We loved our room; it was clean, comfortable, and I loved the newly remodeled look. Breakfast was always amazing. And the owners are so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed just hanging out on the well-kept, gorgeous grounds and found it to be the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. We also were able to walk (~2 miles) to Weirs Beach, and to some of the restaurants/bars on the main road. If we didn't feel like walking, the drive was very easy to any of the places on the boardwalk, or even into Meredith Bay. Five star experience! We loved this place and would definitely come back.

Grand View Motel & Cottages

Newly remodeled, very nice

In August 2017 we stayed in one of the Motel rooms, which had been very recently renovated. Everything was new, carpets, paint, beds, bathroom, everything. Friendly staff. It was better than I was expecting.

Gunstock Inn & Resort

Convenient Hotel to Gunstock Ski Resort

1/2 mile from Gunstock, the hotel staff were courteous and welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean, but was poorly lit. Bathroom was clean, but small, though shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. No explanation provided for why beds were not made or new towels provided on 2nd day of 3 day stay.

Weirs Beach Motel and Cottages

Excellent location

The location is excellent which is what you're really paying for. The staff were extremely friendly and check in and out was a breeze. Our cottage smelled terrible - like old cigarette smoke and a mix of mold/mildew. The bathroom is small and the place is run down. I thought the bed was comfortable, my husband disagreed. It wasn't the nicest place but I would stay again. I loved the screened in porch.
