Stayed at ABell Hotel in Feb 2018. It was great location as there are alot of restaurants around the hotel. Walking distance to The Waterfront, Topspot the seafood food court and Cat Statue. Stayed in a family room, 1 queen bed, 1 single bed. The room is cleaned everyday, bedsheet changed everyday. The bathroom is enormous with facilities like mini fridge, coffee maker, TV and desk. Nonetheless, the room does not have window.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, everything is ok about the room, hot shower, comfy bed with 4 pillows and thick comforter. The room is not as big, you might want to consider a bigger room / hotel if you bring along your toddler. Room is bright and fairly clean. Just a tip, pay a bit more and get a room with view. I would definitely come back if i happen to visit Kuching.

We stayed at this hotel at the centre of Kuching city from 15 to 18th December 2017.For me this was my second visit to this budget hotel. The main advantage of this hotel is the location,It's really at the heart of Kuching city.So you can reach main tourists attractions like Kuching waterfront, new pedestrians bridge, main bazaar and shopping malls on foot. The room was simple and although it has no window, there is an artificial window facing a miniature garden outside. One sweet experience I want to share here was when we were going to check out early in the morning ,earlier than breakfast serving hour.I asked if he could help us to toast some bread so that we could eat it later on the bus.We were really surprised when at the check out morning, the staff gave me three boxes with sandwiches bread, fruits and mineral waters. It was really beyond our expectation.Thank you Abell. You have incredible staffs to remember!!

I was given a warm welcome. The whole staff is so friendly. The room was clean and nice. Exactly the right bed for me. Great shower. The location is perfect. Nearby the waterfront, foodcourt etc. I would return here

We stayed here for four nights while exploring Kuching. The first two nights we were "upgraded" without our consent to a bigger room which we didn't want or need. The room unbeknown to us had no windows. This made the room very dark and a shut off feeling - waking up without natural light is not something we enjoy. The air con in this room didn't work and leaked all over the floor which was carpet. Although we complained about this, they sent a repair man in but did not move us to another room. The repairs stopped the leak but made no difference to the coolness, the room was hot and stuffy. When we were moved to a smaller room we were happier although the rooms do face a busy street be aware it is noisy. We didn't mind the noise because we now had a window! The smaller room also had a working a/c. Beds were comfortable and bedding clean Fox movies on the tv which was great for us as we have been travelling a while, some english films were a treat. Tea and coffee in the rooms Complimentary Water Safe in room Location is great and one of the reasons we stayed here. A short walk to the river front, lots of eating places in walking distance and on a main road, local busses are easy to use from here. Our overall stay was good but could of been made better if we were looked after properly with the initial room issues.

I went to Kuching because I joined Kuching Marathon. Abell Hotel was my choice. The staffs of the hotel were friendly including maid. The room was clean and comfortable. In front of the hotel was delicious food shop. I could walk around the city easily. It was not far from the hotel.

Located near to waterfront, approximately 5-7 minutes walk. Hotel is comfortable and staff is friendly. It is next to Sarawak plaza where one can go for shopping (especially for sports goods as it has a very big showroom for sports good), KFC and Pizza hut for food. Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy. Breakfast doesn't have many varieties but got enough to fill your appetite. Front-desk office is efficient, check-in process was smooth and quick.

The hotel is well located and has all the amenities you may need during your Sarawak explorations. The best thing about it is the very helpful and polite personnel that happily and efficiently planed the tours I wanted.

I checked into the hotel a day after the Rainforest Festival and quite frankly had my expectations at very low levels. This hotel exceeded that and then some. The front desk was very friendly and helpful which is always great for any kind of hotel. The room was clean and surprisingly compact. Comfortable beds and a thoughtful torchlight in case of emergencies. This hotel's location is its biggest asset; food, laundry, waterfront and malls within a 5 minute walk. The only downside was the water heater at low levels in the middle of the night. Will come again.

Hotel is good for 2-3 nights if you're not to fussed about luxury. The rooms are comfortable enough and we have no complaints really, it just isn't very exciting. The rooms don't have a window with a view and are not ultra modern but if you're just coming to Kuching and are spending a few days on your feet exploring the city, then what does that matter anyway? It is clean, the staff are friendly and it is in a great location. The rooms have a kettle which is handy and there are free shampoos and shower gel in the bathroom which is also helpful (especially when you're travelling long term!) The room we were in has good WIFI too
