Rather old school feeling everywhere in this hotel, super pricey laundry (few blocks further you have lady that will wash/dry 1 kg for the price of 1 t-shirt in the hotel, and will deliver to your hotel!!), breakfast is really bad...you should decrease offer for 50% and then focus on quality. This way, it is nice till the moment you start eating, and you cannot impress guests with visual elements each morning. Hire some local cook and give him freedom to do things differently, don't try to serve things you don't know much about. Rooms are ok in size and views.
Having stayed in the Hotel in March & September 2017. Clean & comfortable room with delicious Asia breakfast. However the entrance to the bathroom/toilet is squeaky as the door is unable to open fully. Hope the Hotel staffs can be more attentive & cheerful.
A welcome start by upgrade to a river view room. It was fabulous weekend getaway. Enjoyed the stay, hospitality, food & ambience. Cozy rooms but seems quite aged , heard is the most inexpensive of all Hiltons😀
Have stayed here several times over the years. I like the recently renovated rooms. The Hotel looks out onto the meandering river across the road, & is close to the river promenade & charming old shophouses Breakfast at the Waterfront cafe had a good selection including roti & Kuching Laksa There were minor glitches with logging on the internet; & taxis at front overcharge: if you can, use Grab or Uber One advice: ask for rooms facing towards river Overall an enjoyable stay
I would like to thank and appreciate Francis, Helen Aida Haridas and F&B team for making my dinner at Toh Yuen Restaurant a memorable one. The Toh Yuen butter prawns are their signature dish and a must to try. The Bidin with garlic were well done. The ambience and service by the team was excellent....its worth the money. Will sure come again.
Hilton Kuching is the great place for accommodation. Great bed. Nice sleep. Good security and privacy. Nice river view from my room. Just few minutes to Mardeka Plaza mall and 5 minutes taxi to the Spring mall.
The room was big enough. The pillows and bed were very comfortable however the bathroom is a bit old though clean. Not much choices for breakfast, the taste was fair however the home made bread was delicious.
The location is perfect. Its a walking distance to the waterfront (the place you could get souvenir and local handmade items), the famous seafood centre (Top Spot) and the boat jetty to cross the river (to buy the best 'kek lapis sarawak' and 'terubuk masin'. The ambience, cleanliness and service provided by the hotel were excellence. I Will definitely come back.
Room is very comfortable and spacious. With a great view overlooking Fort Margherita and the Dewan Undangan Negeri, this is the best in Kuching. The team looking after the Premium Club Lounge and rooms are amazing and friendly. They would go the extra miles to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Special thanks to Catherine who not only brought up my room service but took the extra step that the beef satay was swapped quickly with chicken because I don't eat beef.
Value for money. Comfort and cosy room to stay. Friendly and warm welcome greeting by the staffs. Feel like home and love the swimming pool. Easy access around Kuching City. Would definitely came back and stay in this Hotel. Would also recommend to family and colleagues. It felt so comfortable to rest in the room after a long day at meeting. Perhaps just need to upgrade the bathroom facilities so that it looks a bit modern and good accessibility.
