Reasonable price with good drinks & food. Staff interact well, give lot of information about city of kuching thanks to one young men at bar, faz. Not sure about the room & hotel facility because me & the others stayed at others place. Just come here to try the hotel signature drinks, mojito & the sarawak sling. Good drinks for sure, plus the price also very cheap.
The hotel itself is fine but perhaps not for light sleepers as on corner of busy junction. My room was at the back and a very noisy air conditioning system outside my window would spring into action every 20min or so, which in turn set a dog off barking! That said, it is nice and central for the city and shops, transport etc
I don't stay anywhere else when I visit Kuching. This hotel has become a familiar comfort to me. The staff are friendly and are always helpful when I need something. The room needed a light bulb changed and it was attended to swiftly and cheerily. The room is clean, comfortable, and I always sleep far too long when I'm here! The breakfast as usual is great and I highly recommend the laksa and banana fritters! The rooftop lounge, as always, is a great place to hang out, especially towards the cool evening.
Pls pls dont ever believe the good review. Chose the one that has both good n negative review. I was truly dissapointed how the room look cleanliness is not there. Breakfast not so good. It was so noisy outside literally you can hear the "mat rempit" racing omg awful. The bed was not comfortable our bed sunk. Ants!!. What is this.. Staff is kind but pls improve the room and breakfast
Decent location. Stayed one night before going to Bako national park. Beds are comfortable with good shower, ample hot water and decent pressure. No fridge in room but you can ask for one if required. Only thing I noticed was there was no safe, not sure if this would have been available on request though. Can't comment on breakfast as I left the hotel early (breakfast starts at 7 and was inclusive of room). All in all great value for money if you were to spend a few days in Kutching.
Clean rooms. No complains on that. Small but delicious breakfast buffet. You must try the banana fritters and Sarawak laksa. Nice food in the rooftop lounge too. Wonderful staff! Julie managed to book the hotel for our next destination when it was full! Prior to that, I have called and tried online booking sites to no avail. Julie saved us from having to stay in dodgy inns!! Thank you Julie! Gene is sweet and gentle, he's soft spoken but kind and willing to help. Serena helped track and store my package that didn't arrive in time. Thank you for making my stay a very memorable one!
Stayed here for 4 nights, what can I say its a great hotel with a great location! Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Was travelling solo, so was a little harder in booking excursions. But they helped with other/cheap means in seeing the places. Room was a delight after a day of sight seeing. Clean, spacious. Came with alot of extra bathroom amenities like comb, toothbrush sets etc. Room offered fridges, bath robes and water, coffee making facilties. Breakfast was diverse, had slight changes everyday. Bar on floor 5 offers amazing views! Location was walkable distance to everything with old china town right next to the hotel. Overall, would fully recommend! Stayed in room 309 :)
Spent 5 nights here. Rooms clean and comfortable with excellent rainforest shower. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast - would particularly recommend the laksa and homemade lime marmalade (western options also available). Only issues were lack of consistent or functional wifi and minor drainage issues in the bathroom. Overall really enjoyed our stay here.
My son and I stayed in one of the family suites for 5 nights. Our room was lovely, large and with a wonderful view towards the river. We had a larger bed in the main room for myself and a smaller bed in a smaller attached room for my son. The location of the hotel is good. Just around the corner one way is a street with many Chinese restaurants and shops, including fruit stalls. The waterfront is walking distance (10 minutes) the other way, as is a MacDonald's and KFC (< 10 min) for those with kids who might crave such. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The a/c worked great as did the wi-fi. Nice t.v. The breakfast was nowhere near satisfactory for me, but then, I'm Canadian and I've heard say that we're fairly demanding with our breakfasts. The staff were wonderfully friendly. I would stay here again.
A simple hotel with standard amenities. The location is right off old Chinatown so you have plenty of things on your doorstep. Nice bar on the 5th floor too. The staff are nice and friendly and the breakfast was plentiful
