This is a quiet hotel, about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. Very clean, good breakfast. However, this is not a luxury hotel, and whilst it has all the usual facilities, and more, it does not aspire to be at the top end of the market. Excellent value for money. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful.
The hotel itself is very basic room wise and the noise from the streets was a little annoying, but it also was Chinese New Year so I kind of expect a little madness. However, the rooms are clean, the service is excellent, the rooftop bar offers a nearby place to enjoy a sunset and grab a beer. Would definitely stay again!
I love this hotel. It's location is great for sightseeing. There are many choices of places to eat nearby. The rooms are clean and well set up and the breakfast is delicious. Airport transfers were easy to organise.
We stayed here twice! Once was planned and once when our plane was delayed and we missed our boat to Bako. This Hotel is very clean and is staffed with friendly thoughtful folks. After a terrible hotel in Singapore we were do happy to find the Lime Tree! The room is not perfect but it ( they) were maintained well enough. The bath amenities smelled great and I loved the soaking tub. There was noise from the street in both rooms. When the desk heard that we were checking out before breakfast they packed little to go bags for us with fruit, muffins and sandwiches! The day we did have breakfast it was amazing. One of the best breakfast spreads we saw in Malaysia! The bar/ dinner was a bit awkward as they seem to cater to large parties not hotel guests but they did their best to accommodate us. They arranged transportation to a tour and airport and extended our checkout so we would have time to freshen up before our flight. Overall really guest focused and I would not hesitate to recommend!
I have stayed at this family run hotel a few times whenever I come to Kuching. This time I stayed in their Executive Suite at an online offer from their hotel site. The breakfasts are still amazing. The Sarawak Laksa and their fresh lime juice are a must try! the rooftop bar is very scenic (always better with a GnT of course at really cheap happy hour prices and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is ideal for food...lots of small local eateries and a few minutes away from TopSpot Seafood. One feedback given was to add more lighting to their carpark areas behind the hotel and their basement as I had rented a car during my stay. Highly recommended.
I stayed for 4 nights, Uber is a great way to get about, but close enough to walk to river frontage. Great friendly staff, very helpful, great roof top bar. Rooms let it down a little bit, No Safe, No fridge, very little space to empty a backpack out let alone a suite case for 2 people.
Reasonable price with good drinks & food. Staff interact well, give lot of information about city of kuching thanks to one young men at bar, faz. Not sure about the room & hotel facility because me & the others stayed at others place. Just come here to try the hotel signature drinks, mojito & the sarawak sling. Good drinks for sure, plus the price also very cheap.
The hotel itself is fine but perhaps not for light sleepers as on corner of busy junction. My room was at the back and a very noisy air conditioning system outside my window would spring into action every 20min or so, which in turn set a dog off barking! That said, it is nice and central for the city and shops, transport etc
I don't stay anywhere else when I visit Kuching. This hotel has become a familiar comfort to me. The staff are friendly and are always helpful when I need something. The room needed a light bulb changed and it was attended to swiftly and cheerily. The room is clean, comfortable, and I always sleep far too long when I'm here! The breakfast as usual is great and I highly recommend the laksa and banana fritters! The rooftop lounge, as always, is a great place to hang out, especially towards the cool evening.
Pls pls dont ever believe the good review. Chose the one that has both good n negative review. I was truly dissapointed how the room look cleanliness is not there. Breakfast not so good. It was so noisy outside literally you can hear the "mat rempit" racing omg awful. The bed was not comfortable our bed sunk. Ants!!. What is this.. Staff is kind but pls improve the room and breakfast
