Got cheated and forfeit 200USD.The worst every.

We have paid in advance for 4 rooms 1 night in Christmaxs period,when we reach the place,the staff (Indian) tell us your booking has been cancelled and no have room for us,Obviously they already overbooked or want higher price from others because of peak season.All of us have small kids waited for over 2 hours in their place,Luckliy hotels.com assist us to deal with them before we can enter the room.The room totally different to what the picture shown,even there are bed bugs bite and huge cockroaches,my kid are so scary.They have use over 7-8 different names put on internet,very tricky and should not booked all of them again.Host and staff are all dishonest indeed.We have attach our pciture for evidence.

Horrible place to stay.

Unfortunately I stayed there for few days. Dirty bedsheets really small rooms so don't go for it just looking at the pictures shown. Me and my partner couldn't even move together in the room.one has to sit on bed then only the other person can move.Day before we were checking out no room service even provided. Don't waste your money!!!

Best in a small package

It was in a great location of Kowloon, close to everything. Very clean, and my luggage fit all under the bed. I was expecting a small room already and that is what it is. Most people had problems finding the icon inn front desk, but I found it pretty fast. Follow the signs to Canada Inn, it’s on the 15 floor, and you only have to walk into Chungking Mansion about 50 feet to the first set of elevators on the left, one for odds and one for even number floors, and I had 2 waters every day left in the room. MTR is across the street in iSquare shopping mall and A21 bus stop to/from the airport is just down the street.

Bad Manager Hotel

Bad and rude manager behavior. One of the manager was very bad. He shouted on me and my family and also make my children scared and cried. He charged me for the extra money amount 1,600 HKD. He told me that he might lost at least 10,000 HKD for a room/day due to the new year occasion. I had to stay there because I couldn’t refund my money back after I paid via expedia more than 28,500 BTH for 4 days. That was the bad situation when we were in Icon inn.

It was like staying in my closet. Could not stand and have luggage on floor. They did bring a refrigerator to room for my medications, but it took most of floor space. Was quiet.

1.Hard to find hotel location because this hotel is inside the tower. 2.They use other hotel name in the tower that why you cannot it easy. 3.Hotel is on 15th floors and you can move to that floor with 1 tiny lift that fit for 7 people. 4.Bathroom too very tiny.

A good start at the mansions.

I have stayed at the mansions many times at different hostels/hotels. Not rating Chunking, but this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, secure, and some amenities. The price was right, the beds were comfortable, it was secure, clean, etc. I could not have asked for more from the mansions. Check in at Canada Hotel.

Tiny room but had everything you need.

The hotel sent email noting transport options, bus numbers etc and prices from airport which was very helpful. Needed to mention we needed exact money for bus after queuing for a while though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The downside was the queuing to get in lift at night but not too bad.

It was a short stay, be back.

The hotel offers great deal of money, it was worth the price. Staffs are all attentive to there guest clean rooms with high speed Internet connection. Quite place to stay in a city that never sleeps.

A big mistake

Once inside Chungking Mansions there is not one sign to direct you to the Icon Inn. An address (not in the heading) included A15. Someone suggested that meant the 15 floor, of block A. When we got there there were still no signs to the Icon Inn, but there were for many others. The stench was overpowering. We found a small reception, where among many others was one for Icon Inn. We were told our room was not available, and we would have to sleep in 2 separate rooms. Noise continued throughout the night, there was no hot water to the basins, and you had to use the the shower which was situated over the toilet. By the morning we had decided to leave. We went down the corridor (which was also laundry drying area) to reception which was now staffed by a 'hoodie'. We asked him to call a taxi, and was told 'we don't do that'. We left. If there had been a fire I doubt anyone would have lived. It is hard to understand how Expedia could recommend this place.

We book this hotel but got the wrong hotel name. It was for my family who are all women. When they get to the hotel, they have 2nd thoughts as it doesn 't look that great and not looking safe to stay in. We tried to cancel the booking but can't. The hotel refuses to refund. I would not stay at this hotel again due to how they are dealing with customers.

Good location and good price

Old building with old facilities. Not presentable. No hot water in the morning and elevator is very crappy. The building is full of Indian parasite looking for next tourist prey. I didn't feel safe at building lobby.

so so hotel on a great location

stayed there for 4 nights. Since it was pre-booked and my credit card was already charged for it, we cannot leave when we saw the place. there were so many guys on the entrance of Chunking mansion offering guestrooms to the people passing by. The entrance was crowded and noisy. On our way to Icon Inn, the elevator to the 15th floor is out of service, so we used the other one and alight on the 16th floor. Seeing the stairs make us want to back-out, it was dirty. our check-in was smooth, we were allowed to check-in early. the room was small but the toilet, heater and tiles seems new. On every morning of our 4 days stay, we were always awaken with a loud noise that lasts for about 30mins. It was very annoying. on the positive side, the location is great. it is near the TST MTR station and going to the hotel from the airport was easy because just a few steps from the Chungking mansion is the bust stop of the A21 bus.
