What a wonderful place to stay. Myself and my two sisters have just returned after a week at Gaia Garden Hotel, and I must say it is one of the nicest places I have stayed. We arrived quite late, but we were given an ample snack at the bar after we had been shown to our room. The hotel is immaculate, our room was cleaned daily, it was a good size for three adults and the beds were comfy, no creepy crawly visitors anywhere either. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The daily choice and quality of food was great, lovely fresh food every day, morning, noon and night, with bar snacks (cake :] ) mid morning and mid afternoon, what more do you want. I don't have a bad thing to say. A 30 minute or so walk will take you along to Kos Town, lota of lovely places to eat, have a coffee or shop.
Wow wow wow customer service from top to bottom is 1st class. Rooms are clean and comfortable, maid service great. Bar staff, restaurant staff amazing! 3rd time and we keep coming back. After all those positive comments, food is plentiful, occasionally bland but always not hot. A microwave is available at all times to heat your tepid food. Saying this we would still come again, so the positives by far outweigh the negatives. We will return because the whole experience was great!
This review is quite long but I'm taking the time and hope you will also take the time to read it as a short description cannot tell you how excellent this place is. We got to know everyone there and want to share with you as they deserve it. We arrived just before midnight and were greeted by the night security man. His name was Rapos. He offered us a selection of food that was made for us as the hotel knew we were arriving fairly late. We did not ask for this however we were pleasantly surprised when they thought of us. we were taken to our room and the journey was fantastic. Bungalows with palm trees and little monuments along the way. Our room was clean big and had all we needed. Free air con free satellite TV and all the amenities needed. we had a very very good sleep. In fact so good we woke up at lunch time. we walked through the exotic surrounding's towards the restaurant greeted along the way by the gardeners and cleaning staff. We were surprised that everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was overlooking the hotel and had amazing views of the island. the selection offered was very big. In fact we had fresh hot Greek food and also non Greek food. The food was amazing. You can taste the quality of the produce and the meats. The chef Vasili was always outside making sure nothing was running out and made sure the food was to a high standard and fresh. There was even a dessert area with cakes baklava fresh fruit and ice cream. The waiting staff were also on point. They would come to everyone in the restaurant and make sure you are OK and are happy with the food. There's a gym here that's free to use and also a basketball court and tennis court that's also free to use. You just ask the reception staff who again were more than happy to help for the rackets and tennis/basket ball. I've never been to a hotel that offers this to you for free. There's even table tennis next to the bar and many board games free to use. The highlight though was the jacuzzi. It was free to use. you just book it with reception. Other places charge you but not here. The swimming pool is very clean. In fact we noticed the caretaker regularly inspect and clean the pool throughout the day. Now as this was an all inclusive package and having visited 4 and 5 star hotels with all inclusive we expected the bar area from experience to have slow moody bar staff and cheap drinks. Again we were pleasantly surprised. There was no wall paper stripper drinks here. Even the beer was of good quality. The guys behind the bar Sotiri Julian Stathis Kathryn Elson and christos were great with everyone. No queues waiting for a drink and entertaining everyone. There was no ash tray left dirty or glasses left on tables for more than 1 minute. These guys worked hard for their guests and did an amazing job. Whoever the owners are I hope they read this and will appreciate that based on our visit Gaia garden is an exceptional hotel and supersedes many 4 star hotels and even 5 star resorts we've stayed at. The staff here are friendly and more than happy to help. They were not fake. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets. The cleaners made sure not to make any noise for those who were having a late lay in. Something I've complained about in other hotels and was told there's nothing they can do. All I can say I and my family are lucky to have found this little jewel in kos and will definitely return. Thank you to everyone who works there. You are the best!!!.
We booked for a weeks hols second week of October 2017. First of all the staff are friendly as most Greek people are. As for the actually place well it’s okish but nothing to shout about. Certainly if your a cat lover there’s plenty roaming about which I find very off putting. The place is clean but rooms very basic. We went all inclusive and the food is again okish and you have very limited choices of drinks included which is very off putting. If you like weak beer wine or tequila then it’s ok for you but that’s all on offer. No entertainment at all so you will need to find other ways to pass the time. We hired bicycles across the road for €2 a day which helped get out and about. Would we stay here again...doubtful as there is certainly better out there.
we had stopped at gaia in style in may, could only book here so we did,not disappointed, the room was good ,the food was adequate, the breakfast and lunch especially, the staff were helpful an friendly, the only drawback was the bar offering, beer was not good the house brandy was not????
We have been going to this resort for many years now and have gotten to love it...we enjoy that the staff is very friendly and have gotten to know us by name...The location is perfect, close to KOS town and beach...our children are 12 and 10 and enjoy the amenities...Pool,Basketball courts, Billiards, Ice Hockey and more... If we can make it to Greece in 2018, we will definitely stop at this Island and Resort again...
We arrived on the 25th sept. the hotel grounds and pool and bar area are lovely. My wife and I had all inclusive, but the drink beer and wine was not good I thought the beer was going to be mythos but you had to pay for that. and the free beer was weak as water. The food in the hotel was tempted at best, micro wave was there but I don't expect to warm my own food up. We in the end mostly went out for our meals. The rooms were basic and beds very uncomfortable. The hotel staff were lovely and friendly. But this hotel has got three stars and at best that's all it deserves.
This was our second visit here. I still love the fact that the accommodation is little bungalows in very nice gardens and not a hotel room but they do need updating. Every time we had a shower the water flooded the bathroom because the shower head kept moving and the water ran into the bedroom. The food was okay but not very hot unless you got there as soon as they had put it out. A lot of the time we had to keep asking for the food trays to be replenished because they were empty. Kept awake most nights by dogs barking over the back and in the mornings by the cleaners talking loudly just outside the door. Nice touch was the novels left in reception for you to read but could only find 2 in English language, likewise couldn't find any English tv programmes. The staff are terrific, always smiling, the pool area is lovely but we will not be going back to this hotel again.
We stayed here for 2 weeks from 30/8/2017. On arrival we was taken to our room and because it was late there was 2 plates of food for us at the bar. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are ok could do with modernisation but was very comfortable for what we needed it for. The food very very good, not alot of choice but always found something snd always very tasty. The drinks was good but dont provide gin and vodka in the all inclusive. Gardens are kept well and all areas kept very clean. We will defently return.
We booked this hotel for two weeks commencing 17/08/17. The hotel itself is lovely, padded mattresses on the sun beds, pretty gardens and a small pool. The rooms however are quite drab and not very big. We had our nine year old daughter with us and by the time the guest bed was in situ you had to move it if you needed to get into the wardrobe or open the door. Towels were only changed every three days and it was a mission not to flood the bathroom every time you took a shower. There is absolutely nothing much to do other than swim, play table tennis or air hockey. There isn't any entertainment for either adults or children so after around day three and the novelty of the pool wearing off our daughter got very bored. There is a car hire place just over the road so we took to hiring one and explored the beautiful island. Food was great, always nice and hot and a good variety. We booked all inclusive thinking we wouldn't have to spend a great deal while we were there, however, the choice of alcoholic beverages included in the price is very poor, beer, wine, rum, tequila, ouzo and soft drinks, none of which I drink so spent a fortune, haha. Although there are notices requesting people not to reserve sunbeds, this is not adhered to, I'm not the type to get up at the crack of dawn while on holiday so many times we had to sit on chairs while admiring the towels that had been left on beds for hours on end and not occupied by anybody. This really is the ideal spot if you want some quiet and relaxation but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a child in tow.
