I stayed on a Monday evening. So it was very quiet. The room, cleanliness and amenities were fantastic. Bed was comfortable. I was ok with this. But just an FYI. There is no elevator, we were on the third floor. I would definitely stay there again

Mini one bedroom apartment

At first it can be confusing as you need to go into the restaurant next door to get checked in but once you realize that, it’s great. There is no parking at the actual hotel, you have to park in the city parking lot which is a 2 min walk from hotel. Not bad just inconvenient. The room we stayed in was like a mini apartment. Very clean and quiet, we stayed in a Monday night. It Had a kitchen area with full size appliances and dishes, an area for a dining table, little sitting area, full size bathroom and a separate bedroom with large closet, dresser and side tables. Ample room for comfort. We will be staying here again.

The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with no elevators or staff on site. You do check in at the attached restaurant. The check in process was very fast and easy there is parking in a paid lot 1 min from the hotel and very cheap. The only downfall during our stay is that ontario is goijg through a hear wave since the beginning of july and we found it odd that there was no a/c in the bedroom itself as the buidling is old they don't gave ac but have units in the rooms. However the lack of ac in the bedroom was to much for us and we had to leave early. I did ask about a refund for the 2nd night and i was told there was nothing they could do for us and we had to lose out on one nights stay.

Overall this was a great stay and I would highly recommend the hotel, the friendly staff, and the location in downtown Guelph. My only other comment is be aware there is not a elevator to access the rooms... however, it was well worth this minor inconvenience.

Be warned - its a 3-story hotel with no elevator! The room was large, clean, comfortable, and close to what we were in Guelph for. This was our second time staying at The Western and we'll most likely stay there again.

We loved how historic this hotel felt while also having all the amenities expected in a modern hotel. Our space had 2 bedrooms and a shared living room which was perfect for travelling with our teenagers. We will definitely stay again!
