Hotel was only 8 minutes from Mt Rushmore and a few more from Crazy Horse. The place is a bit older but very clean. Wonderful breakfast with lots to choose from. The staff is great. I had a big personal problem and Naomi at the front desk was wonderful! I would stay here again

Just stayed at the Rushmore Express in Keystone this past weekend. The staff was super friendly, check in was a breeze! This hotel is only 2 miles to Mt Rushmore! Nice free breakfast for guests, our room was very clean, very spacious. Lots of restaurant choices close by. The hotel is older, the rooms are a bit dated.

Look else where if u get a rustic room

The rustic rooms were well rustic, they show all these nice rooms in the pics then you get to the rooms, full of stains and smelled bad, the bed had stains on the sheets. The toilet water looked like someone already used it wven after flushing.over all very very disappointed.

The front desk ladies were very quick in taking action to provide us solution about dirty sheets. Great communication, accomodating, understanding, and patient. For a very tired traveler like me (on my arrival) those are the traits I would want from hotel staff, aside from fresh clean, safe, and quiet room. Simple but filling breakfast is a cherry on top.

Our room had a leaking fire sprinkler so bad there was a brown rust looking streak and there was wet carpet. There were flies in our sink and the bedding was ripped. Front desk staff heavily discounted our room for the inconvenience. The breakfast was decent.

Great well kept secret!

Room was very clean and appeared recent in construction. Linens were ample and clean as well. Bar, fridge and furniture all nice. GREAT location super close to Mt. Rushmore and 1880 train. EASY EASY EASY. We will stay again.

Expedia rated this place as a 8.8. It was not an 8.8. It was old, not well maintained. Sink didn’t drain, cold shower in the morning. Towels and sheets were not white like they wee supposed to be. Pool was cold, hot tub was out of order. Staff was polite.

Location is great for Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. Very old motel, probably built in 1970's. No updates. Carpet threadbare. Shower drain slow, standing in water ankle deep. Outside stairs filthy. No elevator. Breakfast was fine.
