Good two night stay here. Good location for drive around the Ring of Kerry and bike ride to Muckross House and around grounds and near lake. Nice hotel, wonderful staff... Ask for front-facing hotel rooms looking toward park. Rooms are spacious and fine (but a little dated), but the building outside and lobby are beautiful. Good breakfast.

This was our first time in the Brehon but it certainly won't be our last. The hotel from the outside reminds me of a Disney enchanted Castle. The food it the bar was fantastic value and quality. The breakfast was phenomenal, the staff couldn't do enough for all of us. The interior of the hotel was opulent while being family friendly. Rooms were extremely comfortable with plenty of choice on the TVs. Kids entertainment in the sister hotel and swimming pool facilities. Beautiful spa in the hotel. Facilities for hair and nails. Hotel was pure luxury. We are in a rush to get back 😉

I stay in the brehon regularly (once a month-ish) and I cannot say enough good things about the hotel and it's service. Had a minor problem booking in this time and Kamilla sorted the whole issue out straight away. I just checked in to find a fab room as always and this lovely gesture in my room. There was absolutely no need but very thoughtful. Kamilla is a credit to the hotel, to be fair all the staff are amazing. Rooms are always immaculate and nicely finished. Breakfast is always faultless too. anyway as a regular after 2 years now I can't recommend the brehon enough. Thank You.

Brilliant experience. Great friendly staff at reception. Dressing room on the small side, not enough towels in common areas and only 1 bathroom. These were the only problems however. The relaxation area was lovely, comfortable wicker seats, lemon grass tea before treatment and fruit and choice of drink after treatment. Back rub was brilliant, be aware the therapist hop onto the table during this treatment. Facial was also very good - however they spent a lot of time on the head area but didn't apply a hair mask or oil to make the rub more enjoyable. Pool area brilliant, the hot and cold pools were awesome. Favourite part of the area were the foot baths that you could fill yourself. Really enjoyed the day.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Brehon as part of a tour of Great Britain and Ireland. We thought the rooms, amenities and meals were all lovely. If we go back to Ireland on our own, we would love to stay at the Brehon.

I have been a visitor of the Brehon on many an occasion to the spa and stayed in the hotel but I found today's experience very disappointing. My daughter and I sat in the bar and waited to be served while frankly approx 6 waiting staff ran around us and failed to take our order. Eventually they arrived and took the order and the soup of the day was Minestrone, now I have loved in NY and visited Italy on many occasions and am yet so see Minestrone without pasta but in this case we got a watery brother with a myriad of veg and no pasta........completely tasteless. We also got sandwiches with stale Taytos on the side. I have to say I have grown to expect far more from this hotel. Disappointing for something very basic.

Hotel staff are very professional, friendly and accomodating. The hotel rooms were large which after staying at other hotels was a welcomed surprise. Some furnishings were looking a bit dated but overall very nice. I appreciated the secondary hallway on the first floor rooms from the main lobby which allowed for a restful sleep. We ate snacks at various times in the hotel bar which were very good. The bartenders also offered their knowledge of local drinks and spirits which we were hoping to learn. They also were very friendly in offering suggestions for local spots to visit. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and offer a respite from traveling.

We stayed in several different hotels on our trip to Ireland and this was by far my favorite. The staff was very welcoming. They had a fairy garden on site that my daughter loved and we thought it was a sweet touch. We ate at the bar for dinner. Several of the menu options were interesting and sounded delicious. It was a welcome change from the pub food we'd grown a little tired of. They also had tons of gluten free options. In fact, they custom made gluten free pancakes and gf sausages for our daughter in the morning while we enjoyed the included breakfast. My daughter and I used the pool at the adjacent hotel. It was a bit of a production. You have to cross the parking lot and then walk thru a Vegas style conference center/hotel to find the pool which is within a fitness club. They require a hair cap and they charge for one if you don't have one. You have to enter through the locker room and pay to use lockers to store your things. Kids aren't allowed in the hot tub. Despite all that we had a fun time. Parking was super easy. Would definitely recommend!

We last stayed here about five years ago and before that, just after it opened. It has been very well maintained and is a nice and reasonably priced hotel. The bar and food and still fairly priced as well, which is nice to see. The only complaint is that I asked for a "Quiet Room" and we were on the third floor with a wedding party below (Ground floor I think?) and our room was vibrating and thumping til the music stopped - some time after 1.30am NOT a quiet room and the music should not be that loud anyway - ridiculous.

The hotel is large and often has weddings. Our first 2 rooms were right over the reception area, we were even told we would Not hear the noise{ NOT TRUE!!} these rooms were also shabby, with the carpet in one room fraying a the seams and looking dirty. Not what I expected from a four star hotel at all!! to be fair they moved us to 2 rooms at the opposite end of the wedding, and in better condition [ one corner room was very comfortable ] . I think the hotel is in need of an update, I will say our rooms were large and that was nice and staff was lovely. One night after along day doing the Ring of Kerry with a private driver were had bite in the bar area, attractive area and food was quite for hotel bar food. I would NOT go back until upgrades were made, The hotel has potential and if you go make sure you ask for a room away from the elevator and wedding area, in as good condition as they have. The breakfast was plentiful
