We decided to return to the brehon for a 1 night pre Christmas break again this year and we were not disappointed. From check in to departure everything was excellent. It had a great Christmas atmosphere - open fires, Hugh Christmas tree ,seasonal music . The rooms are big comfortable and functional, breakfast was great , wide variety and dedicated gluten free section .During our stay a noisy maintenance lorry was working at the rear of the hotel early in the morning but a call to reception sorted out the matter- which was dealt with very promptly by the most courteous staff
I won a voucher for a two night stay in the brehon. It was amazing on the first day we went to use the spa, we were greeted by a very friendly receotionist, my therapists name was Nadia and it was the best massage I've ever had I was so impressed. We had dinner both nights in the bar which was lovely. The bar staff were great too. The hotel was fantastic I loved the lounge areas where you can cosy up by the fire. All and all we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back :-)
Excellent facility with very Professional and friendly Staff Best Spa center I have seen. Will definitely return again to stay. Fantastic food and great surroundings. would rate it as one of the best hotels in Killarney
A group of friends and myself visited the Brehon over the last weekend. Whilst it was very busy everything was lovely and 'Christmasie'. Lovely ambiance about the place. Unfortunately where we felt left down was when we ordered food, only main course, at 19.55pm and received the 6 meals at 20.55. Some were only lukewarm whcih is not he norm for this hotel. Still we enjoyed our visit and will be back sometime in the future.
We waited over a hour for our lunch at the bar just a salad and a hamburger. And they even weren't that good. Wasn't only us, everyone had to wait that much. Apart from that, the rooms are big and nice and the spa is small but cozy.
Loved our stay at the Brehon from the minute we walked through the door started with big bright smile from Ciaran who offered every assistance to us,we enjoyed our treatments in the Spa,we will be back in the new year for a couple of hours pampering,we will be requesting Bell again, excellent at her job
I was visiting Killarney for a business conference that was taking place at the Brehon so it made sense to stay in the same property but I am so glad I did. From the minute I walked in the door, the service was impeccable in a way that only Irish hotels seem to be capable of. I was greeted by name at all times where possible, and the front desk even knew who I was travelling with, where they were and advised us on dinner options. The property itself is excellent. Large rooms with space to work and everything very clean and well kept. I've never had the opportunity to spend much time in Killarney but when I do, i will return to the Brehon.
Spent weekend here in November. Whilst the room and facilities were decent the food quality was not great. In ordered the piri piri chicken salad from the bar and it was barely dressed with little or no taste of Piri Piri on the chicken. In fairness they asked no questions when I returned it and I ordered a burger instead which was fine. Breakfast was OK. Sausages were not great. Fruit smoothy was full of bits. Not to my liking. Would return but only if I couldn't get something better.
I stayed at this Hotel from the 21st-24th of November the Rooms are very comfortable and warm, breakfast was good great selection Evening meal the same nice food good selection plenty or Car spaces good Hotel for relaxing few Days.
This is one of my favourite hotels in Killarney. I have stayed in the hotel numerous times and i can not fault the place! The service, amenities, and food is impeccable, not to mention the breathtaking views! The hotel itself is in a great location in relation to the town. All the staff are very helpful and pleasant, rooms are clean and spacious, and there is a lovely warm atmosphere throughout. Myself and my 2 friends all got treatments in the spa - the whole experience was so relaxing, we really enjoyed it. I already look forward to my next trip to The Brehon.
