Lives up to its five star rating. Excellent super-friendly and helpful staff. Advice and tips were not given begrudgingly. Staff were sincerely happy to help you enjoy your stay. Special mention to Gene, Maksim and Lenor. Rooms were clean and luxurious. Wonderful spa. The attached restaurant/pub, Major Colgan is teeped in Killarney history and serves excellent food. I found their fish and chips to be the best I've tasted. Excellent cocktails. The live Irish band and dancers were a treat. Prime location just outside the entrance of Killarney National Park. Excellent starting point to drive around the Ring of Kerry. I will stay in this hotel again and recommend it to my friends and family.

My new favorite place to stay while on vacation in Ireland! Staff fantastic, comfortable beds, great location!

Very nice property with an excellent staff!! One morning we were late for breakfast and they sent someone to get us fruit and coffee.

Everything was wonderful. The hotel was very nice. Upscale but not stuffy. The staff was very nice and accommodating, The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable, rain shower in the bathroom, the food was excellent, and the spa was an oasis. It was so nice, aesthetically pleasing, relaxing and rejuvenating. I just loved it! The hotel is also across the street from the National Park and you can walk, bike (complimentary) or hire a jaunting car (horse and carriage) to many places. The lake is just down the path, Tork Falls a mile or so up the road (I walked there in less than an hour). It's such a beautiful environment inside the hotel & spa, and at the nearby parks and lakes.

Everything was wonderful. The staff so helpful, the hotel upscale but not stuffy, the bed so comfy, the spa absolutely divine. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable for this type of hotel. Right across the street from the National Park and lakes. I loved it all and I will return.

Very positive would do again Would recommend if staying in Killarney area

Really nice hotel with history and excellent service. The staff make this a five star hotel. My room was lovely but it is an old hotel with thin walls. The decour was great for an an historical property. The food was excellent and they also had entertainment Tuesday, Wednesday. I would return every time in Killarney. Also good spa!

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The property is a combination of historic inns which comprise the dining areas up front, and modern suites and rooms towards the back. Also in back are the spa and garden, both of which are beautiful. The location is excellent -- just outside Killarney town a short drive though parking can be hard to find. The hotel is across from Muckross Abbey, and less than 1 mile from Muckross House and Garden. It's even on the Ring of Kerry. You can get a jaunting cart across the road at the abbey entrance. The staff was attentive and responsive. Our room was clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. Beautiful bathroom with separate bath and shower. It is a bit pricy, but worth it. The views from the hotel are not spectacular, but great views are literally across or down the road. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was superb. Our only complaint was the food at Molly Darcy's which is not up to the hotel's standards, but otherwise good Irish bar food (if there is such a thing).

Excellent location, right across from the Lakes of Killarnee. Easy driving to spots such as the Ring Of Kerry, Dingle, Kilsane. Free wifi, good breakfast. Great bar, good live music. Room size, cleanliness, etc.
