My husband 2 kids and I stayed there over the weekend. I was amazed at the place. It was so family friendly. The facilities were fantastic the pool, play area. What I thought was a fantastic idea was the kids area where you can drop off the kids while mom and dad can have a meal in peace. I really couldn't recommend the place. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were all so friendly and nice. This place is really excellent we will definitely be returning. Keep up the fantastic work.
The hotel is 15mins walk from the town. It seems a great hotel for kids but for couples not so much. The staff are not very friendly. The bar food was not great. The rooms were clean but a nightmare to get to. The corridors are long and poor signage u could have a hard time locating your room and the walk to reception is long.
Stayed recently just for the one night and we had a lovely time. Great room and bathroom, brilliant leisure facilities and great breakfast with a varied selection to suit everyone. Thank you to all the friendly staff, we will be back.
Overall very good value, clean and has everything you need. Temperature in room and hotel was very hot. Room a bit dark and a long walk from reception etc. Poor breakfast and service at breakfast poor but dinner was much better. Ideal for staying if you heading off to explore the surrounding areas and close enough to Killarney town. Would go back with the kids.
Stayed here with a group of 14 for a family weekend staycation. The hotel lobby and bar were pleasent and the children's area/fairy garden were a nice treat. The gym, pool and games areas were fine too. We had a room for 2 adults and 2 children and it was clean and not too small. The only critisim would have been "some" members of staff were quite abrupt to the extent of being rude, but on a whole the rest of them made up for it
I recently booked a family room for myself, my father(66 years old) and my 2 very little children. 13 months and 33 months. We arrived and checked in on a Friday afternoon. We unloaded the car, and had a good few bags with us as well as the 2 kids.I didn't take the buggy out as I didn't think I'd need it unless we were going for a walk. So after checking in we headed off to find our room......a good TEN minutes at least of walking, dragging all the bags and carrying the 13 month old we FINALLY reached our bedroom.....Bedroom was fine, no travel cot as requested but I got over that and it was sorted a few hours later. But I never in my life expected to be put sooooo far away from reception.. It really put a massive dampner on our stay.. We were allergic every time we left the room, for the ridiculous treck to and from the hotel lobby, leisure centre etc.. I did complain to reception that afternoon, and said that I felt it was bad practice to not inform us on check in the bedroom was very far away. Ive worked in hotels on and off for over 20 years.. A receptionist that cares about their customer should have said.. "Im terribly sorry u have a long walk to your room, can you wait and I will get someone to help you with your bags", or even something like-"maybe a buggy would be good for ye".. We calculate the distance from the lobby to our bedroom as well over 200 yards. Absolutely insane.... Food was good, staff in bar/restaurant were fine. Just one more point on the restaurant. For such a family friendly hotel, you would expect when we were sat down for dinner, that all the extra place settings/wine glasses etc would have been removed.. But NO... Its a n awful shame, I had such wonderful childhood memories of this hotel, we stayed so many times when it was the old Ryan Hotel. I'm really cross.. I came away exhausted from the break.. Not what I was hoping for, at all.
I am a regular traveler to Killarney and out of all the Hotels I stayed in this was the worst out of them. Firstly rooms are very outdated it could really do with a revamp. Secondly the menu, there is not much of a selection but I got the fish and asked for no mint peas yet, they put the mint peas under the fish so my dinner was ruined. Thirdly there was a tapping noise coming from my room all night like water was leaking somewhere it was very disturbing and I got such a bad nights sleep. The place gets so messy from all the kids aswell it’s such a turn off. Only good thing about here was the pool area, I will not be returning.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely bar food. Breakfast ok. Brilliant for the little ones! Rooms very clean, beds not so comfortable didn't sleep great. Room we stayed in could do with a bit of freshen up. Over all a lovely stay.
Love staying in this hotel , especially outa season as it not too busy then , super food , comfy clean rooms , lovely pool , friendly staff , all perfect..have booked again for our next break at Christmas!!
I had to stay a night in Killarney and was definitely pleased at the reception and good food I ate on my stay. The staff were very efficient and helpful and I would highly recommend this establishment.
