My husband and I stayed at The stunning Europe Hotel this passed weekend to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary and 10 years together. We had lunch first at the brasserie which was just delicious, soup was so tasty, nachos and pork belly were Devine. We then checked into our room, I had a facial downstairs at the ESPA, staff were so friendly and the spa has a private relaxation area and private pool you can enjoy after your treatments. I then met my husband at the main pool which we enjoyed for an hour before going up to our room. We had a walk around the grounds , enjoyed the views and walk by the lake before getting ready for dinner. While we waited for our table to be ready we had a game of Chess in the Library room, then had drinks and sat in the lounge where we listened to some soft music. Dinner was so tasty, rib eye steak and lamb shanks for my husband. We slept in very comfy beds and had a fabulous breakfast the next morning before availing of the pool again before checkout. We loved our break away and will definitely be back.

Loved this gem of a modern hotel in amazing scenic location. All the perks and poshness of a 5 star resort in a wild remote area. The staff was incredibly attentive and always on hand to help. Spa experience was amazing - fabulous views from the hot tub! Loved it.

We got married in the Europe and cannot speak highly enough about the location and the hotel staff. LeeAnn and the team went over and beyond our expectations and it made for the happiest week of our lives. Thank you very much for all the hard work and thought that you personally put in. We were blown away by everything you did for us. Thank you also to some of the wider team who made us feel so special over the course of our week: • Claudio in reception is such a gentleman. He really did make us feel at home and seemed to genuinely care about us. He was so helpful and checked in a lot. Couldn’t speak more highly of him. • Emmanuel looked after us so well during out wedding meal. He was extremely helpful. The food was exceptional so hats off to the chef. Everyone had nothing but complements for the food. All of our guests were over the moon with their trips and loved every minute of their stays. I’d be surprised if they’re all not back to you in the next 12 months with some of them already making plans!!! Thank you so much to you and your team LeeAnn. You guys really made us feel so special and made the day, weekend and week so amazing.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely spa and pool area. The breakfast is superb as well. Overall our stay was absolutely brilliant capped off with a great meeting with the horses! Only complaint was that the bar and spa cafe were closed to private events on our second night meaning we had to go outside the hotel for our meal.

From arrival to departure all our senses were entertained to the highest level. Which ever sense you mention you were aware immediately. When you smelt something you wanted to taste or touch it. When you looked outside, you wanted to be there to hear it.

My wife had been planning to start our honeymoon in the Europe Hotel for months. We had ignored some of the negative reviews thinking some people are just hard to please. I wish we'd listened I'd certainly have more money in my pocket as a result. The staff were fantastic and friendly with a great welcome night. The next afternoon we went down to the lauded pool area / tranquility pool. The glass walled building has great views. If you could get a minute to enjoy it. There were small kids screaming around the pool. Our experience in the tranquility pool was ruined by kids cannonballing into the "tranquility" pool. Dismayed we retired back inside to the loungers and tried to ignore the screaming kids and read a book. I informed the pool staff but they just informed us that they were sorry and it was a busy period. The next day we went down earlier and we were unable to get any seats or beds at all! The place was jammed. Again with kids running everywhere. I went upstairs asking could we pay into the spa area which was empty but was not permitted in. Bizarrely the spa area is split into male & female. The next day we went for a treatment we split up and I went to the male section and was literally the only person there, it was empty (see pics) ! Insane as I'd have been willing to pay to get a bed the day before. We talked to a couple that evening and they had been in the same situation the day before, he had been the only man in the spa when I'd been outside trying to pay in! This theme continued throughout the stay. The hotel itself is clean and beautiful and the views are undoubtedly spectacular. But it feels soulless, with little character the bar has no atmosphere and feels plastic compared to the rustic Kilarney you'd expect. It's seems like it is set up to accommodate huge numbers of tourists but without the amenities to support the numbers, which comes across as greedy. When you're paying €400 a night you should be able to expect better service and 90 mins for bar food and not being to use the pool facilties. All in all, great staff amazing views but overpriced and far from a boutique luxury experience. More of a high priced family friendly hotel. Not worth the price tag.

From the moment you walk in you are immersed in a kind of relaxed luxurious atmosphere. The pool area is the best I have experienced anywhere. The workout facilities are very nice. Our room decorated tastefully in earth tones had an amazing view of the grounds and lake. I did not want to leave!

If heaven is a place it is here. The Europe Hotel is Devine. The setting, the staff, the rooms, the spa, the active area it has it all. This hotel is an escape from the busy world we live in. We cannot wait to return!

I recently stayed at the Europe end of September 2019. I wanted to say that I was a bit disappointed with the service I received. I never get bothered by things like this but when you pay that much money to stay at a hotel, I really did expect better. Check in time is 3pm. I arrived at 2.30pm and was told my room was not ready yet, which is totally understandable of course and that I would receive a text when room was ready. We decided to go for lunch and received the text message at 3.15pm that room was ready. So we quickly finished our food and paid bill as we wanted to get into the room. We arrived at the desk and they told us that there was a fault with the system and we should not have received the text message but room would be ready shortly. So we sat in lobby waiting for room to be ready. Did not receive a text. Went back up at 4pm to desk and still the room was not ready. Went up at 4.20pm again, didn’t receive a text, but the room was now finally ready. They said our bags were in the room – but they were not in the room. We waited another 10 minutes for the bags. I had proposed to my girlfriend that day and we wanted to call her parents from the room and not from the lobby and just the whole situation was annoying. We wanted to use the facilities straight away but were delayed 1.5 hours as the room was not ready. Nobody suggested an alternative, the only solution suggested was to sit in lobby and wait…. A 5-star hotel and expensive as it is for a night, I really don’t think that is good enough by any stretch. I have never experienced that in any other hotel I have stayed in. Wait times at the casual restaurant also was below par. Maybe if the staff at the hotel told us to ‘get to restaurant early as there could be a wait’ it would have helped. It was our first time to hotel and we certainly did not expect to be told there was a 45-minute wait for a table and the alternative option of the Italian restaurant was also fully booked. Basically, very disappointing and put a little dampener on our engagement.

My husband & I had a lovely well deserved stay at Hotel Europe recently, the view & the relaxed atmosphere is what makes this place really special. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Unfortunately the panorama restaurant was closed during our stay but the Brassiere was lovely.
